The Pope’s Pastoral Works
Next weekend, (May 9/10), we also take up a collection for
the Pope's Pastoral Works. These funds are passed on to
the Holy Father for immediate response in countries
stricken by war, famine and natural disasters. The Pope's
Pastoral Works displays Christ's love and compassion for
people in desperate need. Envelopes for this purpose are at
the entrance of the church. Please give generously.

55+ Group
The 55+ group will be getting together in the Parish Hall
this Thursday, May 7th at 9:30 a.m. for some refreshments
and a game of Bingo. All the young at heart are invited!
There will be a meeting for all ushers and anyone interested
in being an usher on Thursday, May 14th at 7:30 p.m. in the
church.
Marygrove & Ozanam Camps
Our parish St. Vincent de Paul Society
will be taking registrations for children
wanting to attend Summer Camp.
Both Marygrove (camp for girls) &
Ozanam Camps (camp for boys) are operated by the
Society of St. Vincent de Paul. This is a one week
excursion, is free of charge, and is intended for children
who would not otherwise be able to afford a summer camp
experience. If your child is between the ages of 5 and 13
and you are interested in applying for either of these
camps, please attend a meeting on either Monday, May 11th
OR Wednesday, May 13th. Both registration sessions will be
held in the parish hall and will run from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
We ask that you bring your child’s OHIP card.
Meeting of the Legion of Mary
There will be a meeting of the Legion of Mary on Saturday, May
23rd at 2:00 p.m. in the Padre Pio (Parish) Meeting Room.

love!

The celebrations of Masses for First Communion will
be on May 24th at 2:30pm (Stella Maris and Other
Schools) and May 31st at 2:30pm (St. Clare School).
ALTAR GUILD
We have a beautiful Church and first impressions
are important to all who come to visit. In order to
ensure that the beauty is retained, we are starting
an Altar Guild. This Ministry will be responsible for
cleanliness of the Church, the Sacristy, Church flowers,
Altar Linen and Feast Day preparations.
We invite you to attend a meeting on Thursday, May 28 th at
7.30 p.m. to participate by exchange of ideas as to how you
can be involved in this ministry. We look forward to
meeting you with your ideas.
St. Anthony’s Dinner Dance
Mark your calendars for our next Dinner Dance to be held
on Saturday, June 13th at 6:30 p.m. in our Parish Hall.
Tickets are $35 per adult & $15 for children 12 & under. To
order your tables, we invite you to use the order form that
was included with last week’s bulletin, and we ask that you
return them to the office accompanied by a cheque.

Il Gruppo 55 anni e più si riunisce giovedì, 7 maggio alle 9:30 a.m.

Abbiamo un bellissima chiesa e per tutti coloro che ci
vengono a far visita la prima impressione è importante. Per
far sì che la nostra chiesa continui ad essere sempre
accogliente abbiamo deciso di formare un gruppo
demoninato “Altar Guild” che avrà la responsabilità delle
pulizie della chiesa e della sacrestia, e che si occuperà delle
decorazioni floreali, delle tovaglie per l’altare e dei
preparativi in vista dei giorni di festa.
Chi fosse interessato a far parte di questo gruppo è pregato
di intervenire alla riunione in programma giovedi 28 maggio
alle 7.30 di sera al fine di scambiare idee e opinioni in
merito.
Cena con Ballo in onore di S. Antonio
Fissate sui vostri calendari la data della prossima cena con ballo
che sarà per Sabato, 13 giugno alle 6:30 p.m. nella nostra Sala. I
biglietti sono $35 a persona, e $15 per bambini di 12 anni in sotto.

portarlo all’ufficio accompagnato con un assegno. I biglietti
