Today, FEAST OF PENTECOST, we remember
the first disciples as they received the Holy
Spirit and were sent forth to continue the work
of God. As Catholics, we are invited to recommit ourselves to welcoming God’s Spirit,
who abides in us, and to be very mindful that
the fruits of the Spirit were not given solely for
our personal benefit but to shared with the whole human family.

MAINTENANCE COLLECTION
Next weekend’s 2nd collection will be taken up for the
monthly maintenance of our church. Thanks for your
constant support!

helped. God bless you all. Anyone who has not yet had the
opportunity to give to ShareLife, and wishes to do so,

Feast of St. Anthony
Join us this afternoon to celebrate the Feast of St.
Anthony! We will gather in church at 3:30 p.m., and
the procession will begin at 4:00 p.m. We will
journey east on St. Clair to Lansdowne Ave., turn
West and return to the little park adjacent to our
church. There we will bless and distribute bread in honour of St.
Anthony. Then, on Monday, June 13th, we will have Masses
in honour of St. Anthony at 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. A time of
fellowship will take place in the hall after the evening Mass. If you
wish, you may bring baked goods to share at the reception.
Please note: If you wish to give a donation for the feast, you will
find appropriate envelopes at the back of the church. You may
place these envelopes in the Sunday collection, return them to the
office, or give them during the procession. Special T-Shirts with a
beautiful picture of St. Anthony will be made available at cost ($10
per shirt – medium, large, Xlarge and XXlarge) after the morning
Masses and before the procession (as long as the quantity allows).

Pilgrimage to Martyr’s Shrine in Midland
The Italian Pastoral Commission organizes a yearly pilgrimage to
the Martyrs’ Shrine. This year’s event will take place on Saturday,
June 25. We will leave the church at 8:00 a.m. and return by 5:00
p.m. The cost is $30 per person. Please call the office to register.
Please note that our community will also plan a trip to the Midland
Shrine on Thursday, July 7… (please see below).

St. Vincent de Paul Mass & Meeting
On Monday, June 20th at 6:30 p.m., there will be a Mass for the
St. Vincent de Society followed by a meeting in our meeting room
at 7:30 p.m.

FESTA IN ONORE DI SANT’ANTONIO
Questo pomeriggio (12 giugno) la nostra comunita’ celebra
la festa in onore di Sant’Antonio. Raduniamoci in chiesa
alle 3:30 p.m. e alle 4:00 p.m., cammineremo lungo St.
Clair, fino a Lansdowne, ritornando e fermandoci nel parco
accanto alla nostra chiesa, dove verra’ benedetto e
distribuito il pane in onore del Santo. Poi, lunedì, 13
giugno, festa del Santo, la Santa Messa in onore del Santo
di Padova verra’ celebrata alle 9 del mattino e alle 7:30 di
sera (dopo la quale saremo invitati in sala per un rinfresco –
invitiamo i parrocchiani a portare qualche dolce da loro
preparato.) Chi desidera contribuire per le spese della
festa, potra’ ritirare una busta alle porte della chiesa,
deporla nella colletta domenicale, portarla in ufficio, oppure
donarla nella scatola delle offerte accanto alla statue del
Santo lungo la processione. Oggi, ci saranno anche alcune
magliette con l’immagine del Santo che potrete acquistare.

Riunione per i pellegrini a Fatima e Lourdes
Mercoledì, 15 giungo alle 7:30 p.m., ci sarà una riunione in
sala, per chi viaggia con noi in pelligrinaggio a Fatima e
Lourdes questo settembre.

Lunedi, 20 Giugno alle 2:00 p.m. – leggeremo insieme e
rifletteremo sulle letture evangeliche di tutta l’estate.
