INCIDENTE ALLA PARTENZA
10° in Superpole, si qualifica 7° in prefinale
realizzando il miglior giro della gara, ma in
finale è 23° per un incidente alla partenza.
L’inglese chiude il Campionato 14°. “In Euro
Series è sempre stato competitivo ma ha pagato
lo scotto di un ingresso in una categoria dove
la struttura fisica lo penalizza, specie nei primi
giri”, commenta Dino Chiesa.

WEEKEND AMARO
Weekend sfortunato per il pilota inglese che
chiude le qualifiche al 31° posto. Grazie a
due buone manche chiuse sempre al 4° posto,
risale bene fino alla 12° posizione. Purtroppo
in prefinale incappa in una penalizzazione e in
finale rimane coinvolto in un incidente. “Finora
ha lavorato molto allo sviluppo del materiale.
Ha programmato la stagione per essere al top
per Europeo e Mondiale”.

GLI È RIUSCITO TUTTO GIUSTO
Il piccolo tedesco è sempre fra i primi per tutto il
weekend; ottiene il 2° posto nelle qualifiche e nella
Superpole dove registra anche il giro più veloce
della gara. È primo nelle ultime tre manche e in
finale si aggiudica la vittoria. “Strappa un biglietto
per un posto di alto livello per l’anno prossimo.
Chiaramente gli mancava l’esperienza in gara, ma
questa volta gli è riuscito tutto giusto. Lo vedremo
ancora davanti”, il commento di Dino Chiesa.

PRESTAZIONI TOP 10
Il pilota olandese si qualifica 10°. In prefinale
(A) risale al 9° posto chiudendo costante in
finale (9°). In classifica chiude il campionato
al 10° posto. “Un po’ sottotono nell’ultima
gara, rispetto a quanto ci ha abituato, ma
durante l’anno abbiamo ottenuto quello che ci
aspettavamo”.

A UN PASSO DALLA FINALE

FUORI PER UN SOFFIO
Nelle qualifiche il pilota di Singapore si
posiziona al 26° posto. Nelle sue prime
due manche è 6° e 9°, ma nelle ultime due
ha qualche difficoltà ed è 21°. In prefinale
(A) non si qualifica e resta escluso per due
sole posizioni. “È veloce ma ha bisogno di
esperienza per crescere e puntare alla vittoria”.
Inizio in salita per il pilota canadese che
registra il 25° tempo nelle qualifiche.
Potenzialmente è tra i più veloci, ma per una
serie di inconvenienti tecnici nelle manche
ottiene risultati altalenanti (20°, 11°, 20°).
L’ottimo risultato nell’ultima mance (3°) non gli
vale purtroppo la finale. Resta escluso per due
sole posizioni. “È uno dei ragazzi che ha reso
meglio dal passaggio Junior a KF”.

THE FINAL EVENT OF THE 2013 WSK EURO SERIES TOOK PLACE ON THE GENK INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT IN BELGIUM. GRAND VICTORY FOR BECKMANN IN KF-J.
AND DINO CHIESA’S TAKE ON THE EUROPEAN SEASON OF EACH OF “HIS” DRIVERS.

ACCIDENT AT THE START
10th in Superpole, then a great 7th place in the
pre-final with absolute best lap, then in the final
he’s only 23rd due to an accident at the start. The
English driver closes his championship in 14th
place. “He’s been competitive throughout the
Euro Series, but he’s had a tough time at his debut
in this category due to his body build , which
penalizes him especially in the first laps,” said
Dino Chiesa.

BITTER WEEKEND
Bad luck hampers his weekend from the very start:
the Englishman is only 31st in the qualifyings.
Thanks to two great heats (twice 4th) he manages
to climb up to 12th, then it’s bad luck again: in the
pre-final he incurs in a penalty and in the final he
is involved in an accident. “He has worked a lot
on material development so far. He programmed
his season to reach the European and the World
championship in top shape.”

HE DID EVERYTHING RIGHT
The young German is one of the best all weekend:
2nd in the qualifyings and again in Superpole,
where he also scores the absolute best lap of the
race; then first in all his three heats and victory
in the final. Dino Chiesa’s comment: “He won
himself a ticket for a top-level position next year.
He obviously lacked some race experience coming
into the season, but this time he did everything
perfect. We’re going to see him up front again.”

TOP 10 PERFORMANCE
The Dutch driver qualifies 10th. In pre-final (A)
he rises to 9th and then repeats the result in the
final (9°). At the end of the championship he is
standing 10th . “A bit duller than usual on this
last round, but he met expectations throughout
the season.”

A STEP FROM THE FINAL

OUT BY A HAIR
The Singapore driver places 26th in the
qualifyings. In his first two heats he does great,
6th and 9th, but in the other two he struggles
and is 21st at the end. In pre-final (A) he ends
two places short of making the grid for the main
race. “He’s got speed, but needs the experience
to grow and aim at victory.”
The Canadian starts uphill: 25th in the
qualifyings. Potentially one of the fastest, but
hounded by technical issues through the heats
with mixed results (20th, 11th, 20th). His last
heat is excellent (3°), but unfortunately not
enough to let him into the final: out by just two
spots. “He’s one of the guys that did the best in
the move from the Junior to the KF.”
