BIOGRAFIA
Nasce sotto il segno del toro e ne incarna tutte le caratteristiche : istintivo , eclettico , determinato , estroso e con quel pizzico di imprevedibilita’
che lo rende unico. Gianluca Motta si stacca decisamente dall’appiattimento della nightlife italiana degli ultimi anni diventando uno dei portabandiera della nostra club culture piu’ stimati e richiesti nel mondo. Citare le
sue produzioni significa fare un resoconto delle piu’ grandi hit degli ultimi
anni e un elenco dei migliori artisti pop mondiali che hanno richiesto la
sua collaborazione. Definire il suo stile musicale e’ compito assai arduo
pertanto meglio citare fedelmente la sua definizione: Musica da ballo moderna. Infinite le consolle che lo hanno chiamato come special guest in
italia e nel mondo. Giusto per darne un’idea basti citare le piu’ prestigiose

le ormai consolidate residenze al Tito’s e all Abraxas a Palma di Maiorca
oppure al Pasha di Lugano o al Morandi di lugano. Quest’anno il suo tourha
toccato quasi tutto il mondo . Alcune delle tappe piu’ importanti : Malta ,
Bulgaria , Polonia , Spagna , Miami , Germania ecc. Giusto per dare un ‘
idea del valore dell’artista Gianluca e’ stato scelto nell’agosto 2008 come
testimonial dalla heineken per un tour in Canada insieme a dei colleghi
illustri come benny benassi , steve angello & sebastian ingrosso. Le sue
produzioni sono supportate dai top dj’s di tutto il mondo , da tiesto a pete
tong , da sanchez a armin van buuren , da david morales a groove armada e axwell solo per citarne alcuni. Gemme indelebili in ogni dancefloor
italiano sono poi le sue : Shining star , Sweet child of mine , up & down
, Ambulance , oops up not alone. Gianluca ha avuto anche richieste di
remixes dai top produttori del mondo come eric morillo , michael gray ,
tom novy , oscar G & ralph falcon , djuma soundsystem , swen weber ,
arrivando anche a lavorare con artisti pop mondiali quali simply red , despina vandi , matt goss dei bros , molly bancroft . Da due anni i suoi
brani sono sempre presenti nella prestigiosissima compilation dello space
di ibiza redatta dalla storica azuli records. Solo il tempo potra’ dire quali
altri importanti traguardi gianluca potra’ raggiungere ma cio’ che e’ certo
e’ che ci troviamo al cospetto di un talento naturale di grandi proporzioni .
BIOGRAPHY
Gianluca Motta started djing in the 90’s at Mazoom, one of the crucial clubs in Northern Italy, where he was first exposed to the likes of
Timo Maas, Lil Louis , Kevorkian, Tony Humphries, Erick Morillo and
many others. Since then he is a regular feature in Italy’s leading clubs:
Villa delle Rose in Riccione, Matis & Kinky in Bologna, Paradiso in Rimini and Atlantique in Milan to name but a
few. His djing is now taking off beyond the Italian shores:
Tito’s in Palma di Mallorca, Space in Mykonos, Street Parade in Zurich and
so on. Gianluca is also well known as a Producer and Remixer, and also
works under the moniker “Minimal Chic”. As Minimal Chic he has remixed
Erick Morillo (“What Do You Want”), Simply Red (“Home”), Michael Gray
(“The Weekend”, “Borderline” , “Somewhere Beyond”), Despina Vandi
(“Gia”), Oscar G & Ralph Falcon (“Dark Beat”), Peter Rauhofer (2 Raumwohnung & Moguai “Sex Secret”), Tom Novy (“Your Body”), Hoxton Whores
(“Promised Land”), Horny United (“Golden Faces”), Djuma Soundsystem
(“Led Djinnes”), Get Far Feat. Sagi (“Shining Star”) and, last but not least,
the forthcoming single from Benassi Bros. His production skills have also
been used by Matt Goss, former Bros singer (Minimal Chic “I Need The
Key” peaked at Number 3 position in the UK Buzz Chart by Pete Tong). As
Gianluca Motta, his productions meet with ever increasing success: “Ooops Up” by Gianluca Motta Vs Snap! & NG3 (N° 6 in the UK Cool Cuts
and N° 5 in the UK Mainstream Charts in February, licensed by Absolution). At the moment he’s promoting his first album Metropolis. The first
single BERLIN was supported by best international dj’s ( It makes Pete
Tong’s ESSENTIAL SELECTION on Radio 1 ). The second single called
TOKYO is a real club anthem (supported by Hernan Cattaneo , John Digweed , Sasha and many others). But the third single - “ Not Alone “ ,
with a superb vocal performance by Molly Bancroft (who featured on Gabriel & Dresden track “ Tracking treasure down“ ) is primed for international
success. It was Pete Tong’s essential tune on 12th February is currently
supported by Tiesto, Roger Sanchez, Armin Van Buuren, Sharam & David
Morales among others. There are remixes by Tiger Stripes and Deadmau5.
