The so-called “Brodo di Giuggiole”, typical booze of Arquà Petrarca, is still obtained with the
same process people used in the past: a natural infusion of ripe fruit – jujubes in particular.
This booze has a distinctive dark-red colouring and its flavor is very sweet. From these
characteristics, derives the Italian expression “andare in brodo di giuggiole”, which means to go
into raptures. Brodo di Giuggiole is excellent taken as an after dinner drink.
