GTECH PRINTING CORPORATION CHOSEN TO PROVIDE INSTANT-TICKET
PRINTING SERVICES TO TIPOS, NATIONAL LOTTERY COMPANY, A.S., IN
SLOVAKIA, FOR THE NEXT 10 YEARS
ROME (ITALY), PROVIDENCE, RI (USA), November 17, 2009 – Lottomatica Group S.p.A.
announced that its subsidiary GTECH Printing Corporation (GPC), an industry leading
instant-game supplier, has been selected to provide instant-ticket services to TIPOS,
national lottery company, a. s. (TIPOS), a company of which the Slovak Republic
represented by the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic is the only shareholder.
The 10-year contract commenced earlier this month and is the result of competitive
procurement. The contract has unlimited options for extensions.

Since TIPOS’ inception in 1993, GTECH has provided the Lottery with ongoing services,
including the operation and maintenance of central system hardware, software,
terminals, telecommunications services, hotline management, retailer training, and data
center operations. Together, GTECH and GPC will service TIPOS with a fully-integrated
lottery program, customized to meet the unique needs of the Slovakian market and its
customers.
GPC is the fastest growing instant-game manufacturing company in the industry. With
TIPOS, GPC now has over 40 customers worldwide, half of which are from outside the
United States.
