In the cadences of melody that radiate from the dancers verse, each fall in
concentric waves of gesture and syllable, spreading in affirmations of the “self”.
Emotional and physical figures, of a passage whose meaning is best understood
through the surrender to perception.
This piece is inspired by an American pop atmosphere of the fifties and sixties,
with brief reinventions of some lyrics. Simple yet glamorous songs that bring us
home, in joy and in melancholy as people, small and insignificant yet somehow
omnipotent and seemingly everlasting.
