ATERBALLETTO NEWS
Inizia con alcuni spettacoli in Italia la nuova stagione dell’Aterballetto per
proseguire con una lunghissima tournèe in Germania, Olanda e Svizzera e
terminare, in dicembre, ancora in Italia dove sarà riproposto Romeo and Juliet,
ultima importante produzione della Compagnia.
Aterballetto’s new season will begin with several performances in Italy followed
by a long tour in Germany, Holland and Switzerland. In December the Company
will return to Italy to perform Romeo and Juliet, the Company’s latest important
production.

<LUDWIGSHAFEN> Il 26, 27 e 28 ottobre presso il Theater im Pfalzbau
di Ludwigshafen avrà luogo la prima tedesca di Romeo and Juliet, l’ultima
importante produzione della Compagnia Aterballetto, di cui il teatro
tedesco è coproduttore assieme al RED/ReggioEmiliaDanza e a Marella
del Gruppo Max Mara. Romeo and Juliet è uno spettacolo nato dalla
stretta collaborazione artistica di Mauro Bigonzetti con l’artista visivo
Fabrizio Plessi, su musiche di Sergei Prokovieff. È un Romeo and Juliet in
versione contemporanea, uno spettacolo più simbolico che narrativo,
con un’ambientazione scenica molto tecnologica che ha visto coinvolta
nella fornitura per i costumi Dainese, e ha avuto il supporto del Kuopio
Dance Festival e del Lucent Danstheater/Holland Dance Events. Per questa
prima tedesca, nell’ambito del Festspiele Ludwigshafen, lo spettacolo
avrà la musica dal vivo eseguita dall’orchestra Staatsphilarmonie
Rheinlandpfalz con la direzione del Maestro Bruno Moretti, che collabora
regolarmente con Mauro Bigonzetti non solo come compositore ma
anche come pianista e consulente musicale.
In contemporanea sarà ospitata dall’Hack-Museum di Ludwigshafen una
grande mostra di Fabrizio Plessi dal titolo “Isole digitali”, con sue opere
degli anni ’80 e ’90. L’inaugurazione avverrà il 22 ottobre al teatro per poi
spostarsi nel museo per la prima visita ufficiale.
In occasione di questo evento per la prima volta tre importanti istituzioni
culturali della città collaborano insieme - l’Hack-Museum, il Theater im
Pfalzbau e l’Orchestra filarmonica della Regione Renania Palatinato.
<LUDWIGSBURG> La tournèe prosegue a Ludwigsburg per sette
spettacoli dal 31 ottobre al 5 novembre presso il Theater im Forum. La
compagnia, che torna nella città tedesca per la terza volta da quando
Bigonzetti è direttore artistico, presenterà Romeo and Juliet.
OLANDA HOLLAND
<L’AIA> Aterballetto torna ad esibirsi
<LUDWIGSHAFEN> The German premiere of Romeo and Juliet, the Company’s
latest important production, will take place on 26, 27 and 28 October at
Ludwigshafen’s Theater im Pfalzbau, which co-produced this work along with
RED/ReggioEmiliaDanza and Marella of the Gruppo Max Mara. Romeo and Juliet
was conceived by Mauro Bigonzetti and the visual artist Fabrizio Plessi and is set
to the music of Sergei Prokofiev. It is a contemporary Romeo and Juliet, more
symbolic than narrative, featuring a very technological set, and costumes by
Dainese. It was supported by the Kuopio Dance Festival and the Lucent
Danstheater/Holland Dance Events. For the German premiere, within the Festspiele
Ludwigshafen, the work will be presented with live music performed by the
Staatsphilarmonie Rheinlandpfalz orchestra directed by the Maestro Bruno Moretti,
who collaborates regularly with Mauro Bigonzetti not only as a composer but also
as pianist and musical consultant.
At the same time the Hack-Museum in Ludwigshafen will host the important exhibit
“Isole digitali”, which will display works of Fabrizio Plessi of the 80’s and 90’s. The
opening will take place on 22 October at the theatre and will subsequently be
moved to the museum for the first official visit.
Three important cultural institutions of Ludwigshafen will collaborate on this
event: the Hack-Museum, the Theater im Pfalzbau and the Philarmonic Orchestra
of the Bundesland Rhineland-Palatinate.
<LUDWIGSBURG> The tour will continue in Ludwigsburg, where the Company
will return for the third time since Mauro Bigonzetti is artistic director. From 31
October to 5 November the Company will appear in seven performances of Romeo
and Juliet at the Theater im Forum.

to the Lucent Danstheater, home of the
prestigious dance company NDT. After
participating in the Holland Dance
Festival in 2003, Aterballetto will appear
in the theater’s season, within the Holland
Dance Events. On 14 and 15 November
the Company will present the Dutch
premiere of Romeo and Juliet, which
was supported also by the Lucent
Danstheater/Holland Dance Events.

esibirsi questa volta presso il Theater am Stadtgarten di Winterthur con un dittico
composto da WAM (con musiche eseguite dal vivo del Maestro Bruno Moretti) e Cantata.
<WINTERTHUR> After the tour in 2004, Aterballetto will return to Switzerland on 23 and
24 November: the Company will perform the double-bill WAM (with live music performed by the

partecipare al prestigioso
Festivaletteratura, che animerà la città
sforzesca con ospiti da tutto il mondo.
In occasione del decimo anniversario
del Festival, la Compagnia Aterballetto
presenterà uno spettacolo inedito
ispirato al contesto letterario del festival
mantovano. In uno spazio
“naturalmente” scenografico come il
Prato del Castello di San Giorgio, la
danza, linguaggio del corpo, rende
omaggio al linguaggio della parola.
Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa. La
compagnia sarà il 2 settembre presso il
Teatro Verdi di Pisa con un dittico
composto da Omaggio a Bach e Cantata,
due delle coreografie più rappresentate
di Mauro Bigonzetti.

On 8 September the
Company will be in Mantua to participate
in the prestigious Festivaletteratura
(Literature festival) featuring guests from all
over the world. On occasion of the Festival’s
10th anniversary, Compagnia Aterballetto
will present a performance never been seen
before, inspired by the literary context of the
Festival. In the Prato del Castello di San
Giorgio (the garden of the San Giorgio castle)
- a “naturally” scenic space - dance, a body
language, will pay homage to the language
of word.
<REGGIO EMILIA> Aterballetto will
appear again within the programming of the
Rec, Reggio Emilia’s autumn festival, on 18
October in two new creations by two
Company dancers, Valerio Longo and Adrien
Boissonnet, in Aprés Midi d’enfants by Mauro
Bigonzetti and in his new creation,
Absolutely Free, on pop and rock musics.
