cent in the first half of 2016. France,
Germany and South Korea drive the Export
Il fatturato del bedding italiano (le imprese che
producono materassi, reti, letti e altri
componenti dei sistemi per dormire) è
cresciuto del 17,7% nella prima metà del 2016,
con Francia, Germania e Corea del Sud ai
vertici nella classifica delle destinazioni
dell’export. L’Italia, nel confronto con le altre
nazioni rappresentate all’interno dell’Ebia,
eccelle. A Berlino, quest’anno, Ebia ha voluto
focalizzare l’attenzione del settore sul riciclo dei
prodotti usati. Il gruppo italiano delle imprese –
guidato da Loris Bonamassa – sta esaminando
attentamente la problematica del riciclo dei
materassi usati e a ottobre potrebbe arrivare a
una proposta ufficiale da presentare al
Governo.

that produce mattresses, spring mattresses,
beds, and other components of systems for
sleeping) has grown by 17.7% in the first half of
2016, with France, Germany and South Korea
summits in ranking of exports. Italy, in

Non solo moda e food: e' il settore tecnologico
a movimentare la presenza italiana in Corea del
Sud. E sono proprio nelle nuove tecnologie e
nei servizi avanzati gli investimenti diretti che
Seul spera e sollecita agli operatori esteri,
come e' emerso alla Foreign Investors' Week da
poco conclusa a Seul.
Se la startup pugliese Nextome ha vinto il
mese scorso il Busan Metropolitan City Award
nell'ambito dello “Young ICT Leaders' Forum”,
uno dei casi recenti piu' interessanti di
investimenti italiani in nicchie tecnologiche
avanzate e' quello della IDS-Ingegneria Dei
Sistemi di Pisa, che alcuni mesi fa ha aperto
una filiale a Daejeon con l'ambizione di portare
da 10 a una ventina i suoi ingegneri locali entro
due anni.

La Corea del Sud ha il secondo miglior tempo di
costruzione di reattori nucleari al mondo, dopo
il Giappone. Secondo la International Atomic
Energy Agency la Corea dal 1996 ha costruito
13 reattori nucleari, con un tempo medio di
costruzione di 56 mesi. Il Giappone ha il
primato al mondo con 46 mesi e la Cina e’ al
terzo posto con un tempo di costruzione di 68
mesi. Nello stesso periodo di 20 anni la
seconda potenza economica al mondo ha
costruito 28 reattori nucleari, e 15 paesi hanno
costruito in tutto 83 reattori, con un tempo
medio di costruzione di 190 mesi. Gli Usa
hanno costruito nella stessa finestra temporale
un solo reattore, con una tempistica di
costruzione che ha raggiunto i 272 mesi.

According to the International Atomic Energy
Agency, South Korea has built 13 nuclear reactors
since 1996, with the average time taken to
construct them reaching 56 months. Japan boasts
the shortest average time of 46 months. China
placed third with an average time of 68 months.
The world's second-largest economy has built 28
nuclear reactors during the period. During the 20year period, 15 countries have completed a total
of 83 nuclear reactors, with the average
construction time standing at 190 months. The
United States has built a single nuclear reactor
over the cited period, with the construction time
reaching 272 months.

Mercedes-Benz, Ford alla ricerca

Funzionari di Mercedes-Benz e Ford sono in
Corea del Sud, alla ricerca delle più recenti
tecnologie automobilistiche che li aiuteranno

generazione. Nove funzionari di Mercedes-Benz
e cinque altri da Ford Motor Co. saranno
affiancati da rappresentanti di circa 100
aziende automobilistiche coreane per incontri di
lavoro face-to-face e seminari congiunti.

S.Korean automotive firms will join nine officials

Motor Co. for 1-to-1 business meetings and joint
seminars. Jochen Schaefers, an official from
Mercedes-Benz, said his company was especially
interested in finding global partners. South Korea
is the world's fifth-largest auto-making nation by
output, with five automakers and producing more
than 10 thousands of vehicles each year.

Ssangyong Motor Co. ha detto che le sue
vendite nei primi nove mesi di quest'anno
hanno raggiunto i massimi livelli da 14 anni
grazie alle ottime vendite del SUV Tivoli. La
casa automobilistica ha detto che ha venduto
un totale di 111,683 vetture nel periodo
gennaio-settembre, ottenendo ricavi di vendita

billion won (17.8 million dollars). Ssangyong
reported a net profit of 23 billion won (20.5
million dollars) for the first three quarters of this
year, seeing black ink for the first time in nine
years.

basi per la diffusione sistemica della moneta
digitale come parte degli sforzi per promuovere

Corea del Sud e Europa uniscono le forze per lo
sviluppo di un sistema GPS avanzato. Corea del
Sud e la società francese Thales Group
svilupperanno insieme un nuovo sistema di
potenziamento dei sistemi di posizionamento
globale (GPS) in grado di ridurre notevolmente
la portata e il tasso di errori nel GPS esistente.
Il Korea Aerospace Research Institute ha
firmato un accordo di 40 milioni di dollari con la
ditta francese per lo sviluppo congiunto di un
nuovo

Satellite
Based
Augmentation System (SBAS) per il GPS entro

French firm on Wednesday to jointly develop a
new and advanced Satellite Based Augmentation
System (SBAS) for GPS by 2021, according to the
Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.The
new SBAS will especially help reduce errors in
aviation GPS, which currently occur at a rate of
one in five million and by up to 16 meters
horizontally and 20 meters vertically.

Sorprende in positivo la crescita della Corea del
Sud, specie dopo il flop dei Galaxy Note 7 di
Samsumg, che aveva fatto temere riflessi
negativi sulla piccola economia asiatica. Il PIL
coreano è cresciuto infatti dello 0,7% nel terzo
trimestre dell’anno, superando le attese degli
economisti, che indicavano una crescita più
contenuta dello 0,6%. Oltre al caso Samsung,
la Corea del Sud ha dovuto gestire anche
un maxi sciopero
selvaggio
presso
gli
stabilimenti Hyundai Motor ed il fallimento di
un’altra grande società, la Hanjin Shipping.

piano di lanciare il veicolo elettrico Bolt nel
mercato della Coreano all'inizio del prossimo

number of environmentally friendly vehicles in the
country, a company official noted. "GM expects
the automotive industry to change more over the
next five to 10 years than it has over the past 50

doing business report
La Sud Korea e’ il quinto miglior posto al
mondo per fare business in termini di
regolamentazione

politica
ambientale,
secondo la classifica della World Bank. La Korea
si e’ classificata come quinta su 190 paesi nel
“Ease of Doing Business Index”, il quale misura
i vantaggi del business environment in termini
di normative piu’ semplici e maggior protezione
per un equo commercio. La classifica e’ guidata
da Nuova Zelanda, Singapore, Danimarca e
Hong Kong. La Korea si e’ posizionata in testa
nel gruppo del G-20, battendo il Regno Unito
(7), gli Stati Uniti (8) e il Giappone (34).

environment, according to a World Bank
rank. Korea ranked fifth among 190 countries in

measures business-friendly environment on
simpler regulations and stronger protection for
