The 2005 Morellino di Scansano Capatosta is the estate's more important Morellino
bottling. It possesses greater depth and richness in its black cherries, plums, smoke
and earthiness. There is excellent balance here, although the use of oak is a little
overpowering in this vintage. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2015.

Poggio Argentiera's 2006 Morellino di Scansano Bellamarsilia is a vibrant, tasty wine
with notes of licorice, sweet herbs and tobacco that are intermingled with dark fruit.
This medium-bodied Morellino should offer its finest drinking relatively early. It is a
great value. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2010.
