MATERIA
OBIETTIVI
The course aims at introducing students to different types of text, which they might
use as translators/interpreters. During the lesson students identify and analyse various
texts, their function (who they are written for and why) and their form (the register
used, lexis, morphology and syntax). In doing so the students are not only encouraged
to work with different texts, but they are also asked to express or justify their ideas in
English.
CONTENUTI
The different types of texts analyzed during the course are:
1. Narrative
2. Rules and Regulation
3. Exposition
4. Argumentation.
Some basic language rules are also approached, always in relation and when analyzing
a text.
