Customer Advisory – 12th August 2016
La Spezia Container Terminal (LSCT) wishes to inform all parties that its opening hours
for the receiving and delivery of containers (gate-opening times) will revert back to
standard hours from next week.
Further to our Customer Advisory issued on the 7th July, please take note that the gate-opening
times at LSCT will change with effect from 07:00hrs on Tuesday 16th August, back to the
following standard hours:





Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday
fm 07:00hrs to 01:00 (Tue)
fm 07:00hrs to 01:00hrs (Wed)
fm 07:00hrs to 01:00hrs (Thu)
fm 07:00hrs to 01:00hrs (Fri)
fm 01:00hrs to 13:00hrs (Sat)
Trains will continue to be handled on a 24/7 hour basis, including Saturday & Sunday.
As in previous years, extending the gate-opening times for containers moving via truck and rail
was designed to support the flow of import and export containers within the supply chain during
peak periods. This year was no different, including to also help facilitate additional requirements
in place since 1st July to ensure compliance with revised regulations.
Roberto Scotto, Director of Customer Services at LSCT commented “We are very pleased at
the level of demand this year and it justifies our decision to extend the gate-opening times for
our customers, alowing them to take advantage by regulating better their deliveries and pickups during the busy peak-periods. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our
