L’azienda/ The company
Dal 1971, anno in cui è stata la prima azienda ad insediarsi
nella zona industriale sud di Motta di Livenza, in provincia di
Treviso, Italcurvi Srl produce elementi curvati in legno
stratificato per il settore arredo, vantando tra i propri
clienti i più prestigiosi marchi italiani ed alcuni importanti
produttori esteri.
Per l’altissimo livello estetico e qualitativo richiesto ai prodotti
finali e la difficoltà dei problemi posti alla produzione delle
singole parti, Italcurvi gioca un ruolo importante
rappresentando un autentico trait d’union
tecnologico tra la fantasia del designer e il prodotto finale
industrializzato.
Il punto di forza dell’azienda risiede nel supporto tecnico che
è in grado di dare, grazie a una profonda competenza che
mette a disposizione dei progettisti.
Italcurvi studia l’ottimizzazione di tutto il processo:
realizzazione di stampi, pressature, lavorazioni a controllo
numerico e verniciature finali.
Una sezione dell’azienda, Italcurvi LAB, è dedicata a
sviluppare, in collaborazione con clienti e designer, nuovi
prodotti, nuove forme, nuove tecnologie: in particolare per
l’impiallacciatura di elementi tridimensionali.
Il reparto produttivo ha uno standard qualitativo di
prim’ordine, testimoniato dalla
certificazione UNI EN ISO 9001:2000.
Since 1971, when it was the first company to be based in the industrial
area south of Motta di Livenza, in the Treviso province, Italcurvi Srl has
been manufacturing plywood bent furniture elements, boasting, among
their customers, the most prestigious Italian brand names, as well as
some important foreign makers.
Due to the very high quality and aesthetic level required to the finished
products and the complex problems to overcome while producing
the single parts, Italcurvi play a major role since they are the actual
technological link between the fantasy of the first-rate designer and the
industrialised final product.
The company’s asset lies in the technical support they can provide
thanks to their profound expertise, which they make available to
designers: Italcurvi studies the optimisation of the whole process:
mould making, pressing, CNC routing and final painting.
Italcurvi LAB, a division of Italcurvi Srl, working closely with customers
and designers, is devoted to the development of new products, new
shapes and new technologies, namely for the veneering of 3D parts.
The standard and quality of their production unit is first-class,
as vouched for by the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 certification.

I motivi della scelta CMS
Why CMS
Nel 1985 Italcurvi ha acquistato la sua prima CMS, la matricola
276, oggi ancora in produzione.
Hanno fatto seguito altre 3 macchine che, insieme ai pacchetti
software forniti, nel tempo hanno contribuito a migliorare i
livelli produttivi e qualitativi nell’esecuzione di contornature,
scassi, ribassi, fori e finiture sui pezzi prodotti.
Il principale fattore che ha orientato e confermato le scelte su
CMS è dato dalla validità delle meccaniche, con strutture
rigide a garantire qualità di lavorazione, precisione, durata nel
tempo, ma anche velocità ed elevati standard di
produttività.
La solidità meccanica e la grande affidabilità complessiva
sono testimoniate anche dai retrofit commissionati da
Italcurvi per mantenere aggiornate le parti elettroniche: un
controllo numerico “invecchia” e diventa obsoleto molto
prima della macchina CMS che deve governare.
In 1985 Italcurvi bought their first machine, serial number 276,
which is still producing.
Another three machines followed, which complete with software
packages, have contributed to improving production and quality of
profiling, rebating, slotting, drilling and finishing of the manufactured
parts. The main reasons for choosing CMS in the first place, strong
mechanical design, stiff structures and high speeds have proved to be
correct, with long lasting accuracy and finish quality as well as
providing high productivity over the years.
Evidence of the mechanical sturdiness and excellent reliability is
proved by the retrofits ordered by Italcurvi to keep the electronic parts
up to date. The numerical control becomes outdated much earlier
than the machine it controls.
