2009 - Tenuta di Biserno
2009 Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate 92 points The 2009 Il Pino di Biserno is a gorgeous wine. Finessed, silky tannins support a core of dark red fruit, mocha, spices, licorice and sweet herbs. All of the elements are beautifully balanced in this harmonious, sleek red. The 2009 is a mid-weight wine that doesn’t look to be built for the very long haul, but it is quite pretty today. The 2009 Pino di Biserno is 45% Cabernet Franc, 25% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. Antonio Galloni - Closing Date: 6-30-12 James Suckling 88 points A balanced wine with dark chocolate and dried fruits. Medium body, with fine tannins and a fruity finish. Very approachable now. Second wine of Biserno. Releasing in September. James Suckling - August 2012 Gambero Rosso Vini D’Italia 2013 Tre Bicchieri International Wine Cellar 92 points (A blend of merlot, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot): Deep ruby- red. Pure, deep aromas of cassis, black cherry, licorice and sandalwood. Glossy, sweet and concentrated, with intense, suave flavors of aromatic herbs and red cherry. Best on the long, mounting finish, which offers supple tannins and a strong sense of refinement. This superb cabernet-based blend is built for a graceful evolution in bottle. Great stuff. Ian D’Agata, September/October 2012 Falstaff 94 points „Undurchdringlich, dunkles Rubinviolett. Sehr füllige Nase, zunächst etwas kühl, dann viel dunkle Beerenfrucht, Brombeere, Veilchen und Granatapfel. Saftig und satt in Ansatz und Verlauf, öffnet sich mit dichtmaschigem Tannin, zeigt viel Schmelz, kompakt und geschmeidig, baut sich schön auf, im Finale fest und stoffig“ Othmar Kiem, November 2012 La Repubblica **** da non perdere „Il Pino ’09 è un magnifico secondo vino, che ne ricalca l’ampiezza del ventaglio aromatica e l’architettura striata di liquirizia sulla gustosità del frutto.“ Luciano di Lello, Novembre 2012 Wine&Spirits 92 points – YEAR’S BEST TUSCAN REDS Il Pino is the second wine of this estate in Bibbona, in the hills just north of Bolgheri. The blend includes Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, and it’s luscious, gamey and distinctive, balancing the drive and freshness of Franc with the richness of Merlot. The balance feels complete, suited to short-term aging. April 2013 Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate 93 points “Already shows promising signs of a happy evolution. A blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, the wine is redolend of dried tobacco, black currant and rain-soaked earth. It delivers balanced power and concentrations that drive a long, rich finish. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025”. Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Drink now trought 2018. 6,000 cases made.” BS – October 2013 Wine Enthusiast 91 points “Ripe black fruit, red currant, cedar, mocha, savory herb and game sensations characterize this blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Balanced with velvety tannins, the soft palate closes on a licorice note. Drink through 2019.” by Kerin O’Keefe – July, 2015 TENUTA DI BISERNO - Palazzo Gardini - Piazza Gramsci 9 - 57020 Bibbona (LI) ITALY
