“This shows some impressive density of fruit on the nose and palate. Full body, with velvety tannins and a long, intense finish. Powerful.
Very layered and intense. Best after 2014.” James Suckling - August 2011

Azienda dunque in crescita.

Nachhall.” – verkostet von Othmar Kiem, veröffentlicht im September 2011

The 2008 Biserno is a drop-dead gorgeous. A blend of mostly Cabernet Franc, with dollops of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit
Verdot, the 2008 Biserno is rich, seamless and opulent, yet also beautifully balanced at the same time. A warm, open bouquet redolent of
mocha, espresso, wild herbs and smoke leads to plush fruit as this harmonious, totally symmetrical wine opens up. This is a great showing.

Biserno 2008 ups the ante with more refinement, depth and precision. It’s full- bodied with a terrific alcohol-acid-tannin balance that for
me confounds the fact that the wine is 15 percent alcohol. Aromas and flavors suggest ripe plum, cassis, delicate herbal notes such as
rosemary, notes of dark chocolate, and lead-pencil minerality. This wine is surprisingly light on its feet and nuanced within a big whole,
and it has a remarkably long finish, of the sort that only truly great wines have. It probably is a twenty-year wine. Time, and subsequent
vintages, will tell. By Mary Ewing-Mulligan - June 26, 2012

“This is very sexy with decadent meat, berries and spices. Cooked rhubarb. Hints of cocoa. Full body, with a racy and intense mid-palate.
Racy and balanced. Long, long finish. Just coming around now.” James Suckling - August 2012

(mainly merlot and cabernet franc, with small amounts of cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot; 15% alcohol): Inky purple. Brooding
aromas of oak-accented dark berries, licorice and tobacco, complicated by a smoky overtone. Lush and creamy, with densely packed cassis
and blackberry flavors complemented by vanilla, spice and violet nuances. The polished, noble tannins deliver structure and support to an
essentially very ripe wine. There is an element of refinement here that is impressive for such a big, long wine. Ian D’Agata - September/

Saturated with black cherry, cedar, licorice and plum aromas and flavors, this red is fresh and focused. It's all beautifully integrated, with a
vibrant structure and a long finish. Merlot and Cabernet Franc with Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Best from 2014 through 2024.
160 cases imported. Bruce Sanderson - October 2012

A blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot from a Bibbona estate near Bolgheri, is magnificent, with explosive fruit,
refined tannins, and the structure to hold up over 12-15 years of cellaring truly a super-Tuscan! Tom Hyland - October 2012

Top 10 wines of 2012 – YEAR’S SURPRISE
The most recent vintage of his Biserno cuvee, the 2008, is made mostly from cabernet franc. It’s flat-out gorgeous deep, powerful and
opulent, with plush plum and mocha notes, yet elegant, too. Elin McCoy - December 2012

The latest Biserno is something special. The nose is a huge mix of cedar and dried herbs and spice no doubt stemming from its mostly
cabernet franc base. The attack is silky and elegant with fabulously smooth fine-grained tannins that preview a whack of dark brooding,
smoky, black fruits with a spicy dried herbs undercurrent. The palate is long and supple with just a hint of signature bitterness in the
finish. This wine has a big life ahead of it; no need to really open this wine before 2020 unless lamb is on the menu in which case indulge.
Terrific value. Anthony Gismondi and Stuart Tobe - December 2012

Smoky, slight licorice notes with incense spice and oak fragrances. Very, very smooth, sleek and densely concentrated. Juicy, dark fruits
with compact, quite fine-textured tannins - a little gravelly finish but perfectly ripe and balanced. Sleek lines - like a racehorse. Sumptuous,
but less fragrant than 2011. Dark licorice flavors and firm but fine structure. - Susan Hulme – 7/31/2015
