SYLLABUS
Textbook: Parliamo Italiano – Branciforte - Grassi 3rd & 4th Ed.
Grade:
Your grade is based on attendance, class participation and on the homework. You
may take the course for a grade, on a C/NC (Pass/No Pass) basis, or for no grade at
all.
Course Goals and objectives
This is an intermediate-level Italian course for
students who have completed at least
one course
in Italian at Stanford Continuing Studies or the
equivalent elsewhere.
This course will strengthen
conversational skills using a variety of media,
including
reading short stories by Alberto Moravia. Students will work from the
textbook, PARLIAMO ITALIANO, starting from chapter 7. First two classes will
be dedicated to a good review of previous chapters.
Classes will be conducted only in Italian
to further challenge conversational
abilities. Students
will also improve their grammar and reading skills.
