Il Salone del Mobile 2014 per Plank è una presentazione tutta rivolta all’ampliamento di gamma e alla riqualificazione delle finiture della collezione. La rilettura dei prodotti alla luce del
successo ottenuto ha portato all’introduzione di nuovi cromatismi che rendono i prodotti della
collezione sempre più attuali e innovativi.
Il premiato sgabello Miura di Konstantin Grcic è ora disponibile in tre nuovi colori: rosso vino,
giallo verde e azzurro. Queste aggiunte permettono la combinazione di Miura stool con poltroncina Monza e la sedia Myto di Grcic, che sono disponibili negli stessi colori.
L’ampliamento della famiglia dei tavoli Miura, basato su richiesta dei clienti, quest’anno ha catalizzato l’azienda in una ricerca di materiali e dimensioni nuove. La nuova serie di tavoli Miura
si caratterizza da un serie di piani in HPL e da una nuova struttura di telaio che ha la possibilità di accogliere piani di dimensioni più ampie. Il tavolo nasce come un tavolo multiuso con la
capacità di piegare il piano per renderlo impilabile e facilmente riponibile. L’ampliamento della
collezione rende il prodotto maggiormente usufruibile in varie situazioni ed esigenze.
Inoltre Plank al Salone presenta i prodotti più prestigiosi della propria collezione. La serie
Blocco disegnata da Naoto Fukasawa, la serie Monza e la poltroncina Avus, disegnata sempre da Kostantin Grcic in un ambiente che riunisce sedie e tavoli per dimostrare come i prodotti
si completano a vicenda, sia in modo pratico che in modo estetico.
Come sempre, Plank ha lo scopo di innovare e ispirare presentando nuove variazioni di una
collezione creata insieme ad alcuni dei designer più rinomati al mondo. Gli ampliamenti riflettono la popolarità di questi prodotti e l’obiettivo dell’azienda di concentrarsi sulla qualità, la
funzionalità e lo sviluppo sostenibile di una gamma che soddisfa i requisiti del “vivere contemporaneo”.

At Salone del Mobile 2014, Plank presents upgrades to some of its most popular products. The
expanded collection introduces new colours, finishes and features that enhance the practicality
and versatility of the pieces without compromising on the integrity of the original designs.
The award-winning Miura stool by Konstantin Grcic is now available in three new colours; vine
red, yellow-green and light blue. These additions mean that Miura can be combined with Grcic‘s
Monza armchair and Myto chair, which are produced in the same colours.
Based on customer demand, the Miura table range has been extended to include new sizes of
table tops and a heavier base for the largest tables. The upgrades respond to the need for a
larger version of this practical folding table, which retains the simple aesthetic that allows it to be
used on its own or in combination with other pieces from the collection.
The core products of the Plank furniture range are displayed at Salone. Konstantin Grcic‘s Avus
and Monza armchairs, and Myto chair are joined by the Blocco stool, chair and armchair designed by Naoto Fukasawa in a setting that brings together chairs and tables to demonstrate how
the products complement each other, both practically and aesthetically.
As always, Plank aims to innovate and inspire by presenting new variations on a collection
created by some of the world‘s leading designers. The updates reflect the popularity of these
products and the company‘s focus on quality, functionality and the sustainable development of
a range that meets the requirements of contemporary living.

Die Präsentation von Plank während dem „Salone del Mobile di Milano 2014“ widmet sich
ganz der Weiterentwicklung einiger seiner erfolgreichsten Produkte. Die Erweiterungen führen
neue Farben, Ausführungen und Funktionen ein, welche den Nutzungsgrad und Vielseitigkeit
der Möbel erhöhen.
Der mehrfach ausgezeichnete Miura Barhocker von Konstantin Grcic wird in den Farben weinrot, hellblau, gelbgrün erhältlich.
Diese Farbaktualisierung ermöglicht es, dass der Barhocker nun zur Gänze mit Grcic’s Monza
und Myto Stühlen kombiniert werden kann, welche in denselben Farben erhältlich sind!
Die Miura Klapptisch Serie wurde aufgrund von bedeutenden Projektanfragen weiterentwickelt. Das Resultat wird in Form von neuen Dimensionen und Materialien präsentiert. Durch
die Verlängerung der Fußauslager des Dreibeingestells erhöht sich das Gewicht und gleichzeitig Standfestigkeit des Tisches und ermöglicht so nun auch den Einsatz von großformatigen Tischplatten. Der Miura Tisch behält seine ursprüngliche, einfache Ästhetik, welches es
erlaubt den Tisch eigenständig, aber auch in Kombination mit anderen Möbeln aus der Kollektion zu verwenden.
Plank präsentiert des weiter einige seiner bedeutendsten Produkte aus der Kollektion. Konstantin Grcic’s Monza Stuhl- / Tischfamilie, der Myto chair und Avus Club Chair sowie Naoto
Fukasawa‘s Blocco Stuhl- / Barhockerfamilie werden inszeniert um Nutzungsmöglichkeiten
der Produkte untereinander in Funktion und Ästhetik aufzuzeigen.
Die Erweiterungen der einzelnen Produkte spiegelt deren Beliebtheit wieder und die Ausrichtung des Unternehmens auf die nachhaltige Entwicklung seiner Kollektion, welche die Anforderungen des zeitgenössischen Wohnens erfüllt.

MIURA stool / table

MIURA sgabello / tavolo
Lo sgabello Miura in polipropilene caricato è stampato in un unico blocco. Dall’innovativa
tecnologia d’iniezione e l’esigenza di sviluppare uno sgabello impilabile destinato al settore
contract e casa, nasce la forma molto caratterizzante di MIURA. Otticamente lo sgabello si
esprime tramite la sua dinamicità, nella quale costruzione ed ergonomia si trovano in sintonia.
In abbinamento allo sgabello è stato sviluppato il tavolo MIURA, il quale tramite la sua materialità e funzionalità si adatta sovranamente alle destinazioni ed agli ambienti gastronomici
come caffé, bistrò si che anche per l’ ambiente casa.
La struttura a tre gambe d’acciaio è composta da un profilo ellittico, fabbricato espressamente
(stesso profilo dello sgabello) e sviluppato con tecnologia Laser 3D. Il piano tavolo è disponibile in varie dimensioni (Ø60cm - Ø110cm o 70x70cm) e materiali (metallo, MDF o HPL) ed è
supportato da un meccanismo pieghevole per accatastare i tavoli insieme. Il tavolo è prodotto
in tre altezze diverse ed è disponibile in bianco, nero e rosso (solo metallo).
Destinazioni: Casa e Contract per uso interno ed esterno.
Dettagli tecnici sedia: Sgabello impilabile in polipropilene rinforzato nei colori nero, bianco,
rosso traffico, arancio puro, giallo verde, rosso vino, azzurro. Riciclabile e resistente ai raggi
UV.
Dettagli tecnici tavolo: Sistema di tavolo pieghevole, struttura in acciaio verniciato a polvere,
piani in acciaio, MDF o HPL Full color nei colori nero, bianco e rosso (solo metallo). Piano
tavolo ribaltabile.
MIURA stool / table
The Miura stool is made of reinforced polypropylene produced (injected) in one block. The innovative injecting technology as well as the requirement to develop a barstool for contract and
domestic environments has lead to the characteristic form of MIURA. Optically this stool has a
truly dynamic shape, of which construction and ergonomics are developing into a powerful and
expressive harmony.
As a supplement to the barstool the MIURA table was developed. Because of its material and
function is highly suitable for destinations like cafeteria, bistro, catering industry, but also for
private homes.
The three leg steel frame is manufactured by an elliptical profile and produced with 3D laser
technique. The table tops are produced in various sizes (Ø60cm - Ø110cm and 70x70cm) and
materials (metal, MDF or HPL) and available with a folding mechanism to stack tables together. The table is produced in 3 heights and available in black, white and red (metal only).
Application areas: Domestic and contract spaces, for Indoor and Outdoor use.

white, red, orange, yellow green, wine red, light blue. Indoor and outdoor use. Recyclable and
UV-rays resistant.

MIURA Barhocker / Tisch
Der Barhocker Miura ist als Monoblock aus verstärktem Polypropylen gefertigt. Die innovative
Spritzguss-Technologie, sowie der Anspruch einen stapelbaren Barhocker für die Bereiche
„Privat“ und ‚‘Objekt“ zu entwickeln, haben zur charakteristischen Form des Hockers MIURA
geführt. Optisch zeichnet sich der Hocker durch seine dynamische Form aus, bei der Konstruktion und Ergonomie zu einem ausdrucksstarken Einklang werden.
In Ergänzung zum Barhocker wurde der MIURA Tisch entwickelt, der sich durch seine Materialität und Funktion souverän für den Einsatz in Cafés, Bistros, aber auch für den Privatgebrauch eignet.
Das dreibeinige Tischgestell aus Stahl wird aus einem spezial angefertigten Ovalprofil und
mit 3D Lasertechnik gefertigt. Die Tischplatte (erhältlich in den Maßen Ø60cm - Ø110cm und
70x70cm) ist optional aus Stahl, MDF oder Vollaminat HPL erhältlich und lässt sich wahlweise
mit einem Klappmechanismus zum Stapeln ausrüsten. Der Tisch ist in drei unterschiedlichen
Höhen lieferbar und wird standardmäßig in schwarz, weiß und rot (nur in Metall) pulverbeschichtet angeboten.
Einsatzbereiche: Wohn und Objektbereich für Innen- und Außenbereich.

Farben schwarz, weiß, verkehrsrot, reinorange, gelbgrün, weinrot, hellblau. Außen und Innenbereich; recyclebar und UV-Strahlen resistent.

Metall, MDF oder Vollaminat HPL in den Farben schwarz, weiß, rot (nur Metall). Tischplatte
klappbar.

The History of Plank begins in 1893. The basic objective has always been the investigation
and intensive research for technological possibilities connected to design. In recent years the
company has placed at the center of its work a strong connection with research, sustainability
and design collaborating with renowned designers such as Konstantin Grcic, Naoto Fukasawa, Björn Dahlström, Ludovica + Roberto Palomba, Biagio Cisotti and Sandra Laube. The
collection has achieved distinction in a diversity of products: chairs, armchairs, lounge seating,
table systems, stools. Plank products have received numerous awards and acknowledgments,
for instance the XXII Compasso d’Oro ADI Design Award for the MYTO chair in addition to the
IF Product Design Award – Gold selection for the MIURA stool. These products now form part
of the permanent collections of some of the most important museums worldwide such as the
Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, the International Design Museum in Munich, the
Design Museum of London as well as the Art Institute of Chicago.

Durable furniture, which owners keep for years, are the least burden to the environment. The
cultural-formal nature of the products must ensure a quality that makes them long lasting and
timeless. This leads to the creation of “classics” that are already on exhibit in several museums. ”Sustainability is a way of thinking; one cannot disregard this aspect anymore: it is a
way of thinking, of being, of working and creating. As manufacturers, we must be aware of our
