LAAP ARCHITECTS is an urban research and design consultancy with UK RIBA Chartered Architects ARB
registered. We study methods and solutions to improve the living conditions of the urban everyday. We
analyse people’s behaviour to understand the habits that characterize the urban territory.
We use to work with a people-focused approach, utilizing empirical analysis to understand how the built
environment can promote human growth. We apply this analysis to strategic planning and human-centred
design.
The history of Italian planning, the quality of urban spaces of Italian cities, the ability to translate the urban
models methodology of Italian cities in other geographic areas is our goal.
LAAP is a consultancy providing expertise on pedestrian movement and space use. We work to help improve
public space, minimise social risks and maximise economic benefits. The practice uses science-based
methods to turn pedestrian movement from an undervalued resource into a tangible and manageable asset.

As Urban Designer he coordinates studies concerning analysis of pedestrian flows in urban space and
architecture, performing research on planning in Italian Colonial Territories, to protect and develop the
historical districts in new master plan.
The areas of research are Horn of Africa, Mediterranean Africa and the Balkan Region.
He is involved for diffusion of LAAP ARCHITECTS Urban Quality Consultants brand in the markets of United
Kingdom, Ethiopia and Russia for design and supervision of municipality infrastructures works.
He loves travel.
Antonino Palazzolo
Director ARCHITECTURE Department
Landscape architect. Specializing in Garden Architecture and Landscape Design – University of Palermo in
Italy. He coordinates the activities of design and construction of parks and gardens. He develops the
conception of warehouses and industrial facilities, remediation of contaminated sites and energy production
plants from renewable sources.
He is involved for cost-effective solutions to encourage investment on industrial plants. He loves gardening.
Serafino Di Gangi
Director TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMS Department
He works for the development and selling of investigational products. The selling activities concerned
technology for analysis pedestrian flows, equipment for Smart Cities, products for scientific laboratories, and
RAS Recycling Aquaculture Systems.
He is involved for the development of technological systems for data analytics concerning traffic flows, using
urban mobility simulation software. He loves photography.
