CDMs are specifically designed to address development issues of particular relevance for a specific country or group of countries. Awards typically fall between US$5,000 and US$25,000, and winners are most often local organizations or those that focus specifically on issues in the target geographies. To date, CDMs have awarded over US$11 million to more than 650 winners in 42 countries. To view a map of the regional breakdown for previous CDMs, please click here (PDF). For a list of upcoming CDMs, please click here. 2EMHFWLYHV Country and Regional Development Marketplaces aim to: • • • • • Identify innovative approaches to tackle specific poverty issues at the grassroots level Mobilize public opinion around key development issues Enhance World Bank engagement with civil society in the country or countries Engage NGOs, government, private sector, and development agencies in new ideas through partnerships Leverage other resources to broaden partnerships for supporting social entrepreneurs in fighting poverty )RUPDW Country and Regional Development Marketplaces follow the Global Development Marketplace approach and include: • • Marketplace Competition - an open competition whereby start-up funds are awarded to teams proposing innovative ideas that deliver results at the community level Knowledge Exchange – an opportunity for finalists to connect with the local and international development community, exchange ideas and knowledge (lessons learned and best practices), and network with their professional peers. a cura del Consorzio delle Ong Piemontesi Via Borgosesia n°30, 10145 Torino Tel: 011/7412507 Fax: 011/745261 E-Mail: [email protected] 7 8SFRPLQJ&'0V Check back on this page often for the latest updates on CDMs taking place in 2006! &RXQWU\ $SSOLFDWLRQ :LQGRZ 3DNLVWDQhtt September 6 p://web.wor December 9, 2005 ldbank.org/ servlets/EC R?content MDK=205 27438&site PK=205098 &menuPK= 174581 'RPLQLFDQ To be determined 5HSXEOLF (Oct - Dec) November 24 /HEDQRQ January 5, 2006 3KLOLSSLQHV September 16November 30, 2005 November 19%DONDQV 5HJLRQDO January 30, 2006 '0 To be determined 0RURFFR (Nov - Jan) October 31, 2005 3DSXD 1HZ *XLQHD *XDWHPDOD To be determined 9LHWQDPhtt To be determined p://web.wor ldbank.org/ servlets/EC R?content MDK=205 27438&site PK=205098 &menuPK= 174581http: //web.world bank.org/se rvlets/ECR ?contentM DK=20286 831&siteP 7KHPH (YHQW'DWH Supporting Innovations of and for Persons with Disabilities March 15, 2006 Youth and Development March, 2006 Youth in Governance March, 2006 Development with Equity May 26-27, 2006 Employment Creation in the Formal Sector May 17-18, 2006 Youth and Inclusion Early May, 2006 Youth and Community in Action April 29, 2006 Rural Productivity Disadvantaged Children and Youth To be determined mid-May, 2006 a cura del Consorzio delle Ong Piemontesi Via Borgosesia n°30, 10145 Torino Tel: 011/7412507 Fax: 011/745261 E-Mail: [email protected] 8 K=205098 a cura del Consorzio delle Ong Piemontesi Via Borgosesia n°30, 10145 Torino Tel: 011/7412507 Fax: 011/745261 E-Mail: [email protected] 9 6LQWHVL%DQGLGHOOD)RQGD]LRQH&57 http://www.fondazionecrt.it/index/attivita/iniziative La Fondazione CRT nasce nel 1991 dalla privatizzazione della Cassa di Risparmio di Torino, derivante dall' applicazione del DL. 356 del 1990: oggi è un ente privato non profit la cui attività trova radici ideali nell' opera “filantropica” svolta dalla Cassa di Risparmio di Torino fin dal 1827.
