Bonacci International Award, second edition: a video to tell Italian creativity in food, fashion, design Deadline on March 31st, 2017 Turin, November 2016 – The new edition of Bonacci International Award 2017 is dedicated to Italian imagination and to its brands. Bonacci is a historical brand belonging to Loescher publishing, committed since ever to teaching Italian as a foreign language. All students of Italian abroad and those who study Italian as a second language in Italy are invited to enter. The award is made in cooperation with Itals Lab (Laboratorio di Comunicazione Interculturale e Didattica and Laboratorio – Italiano come lingua straniera) of Venice Ca’ Foscari University, and it is intended to promote a different culture and another image of Italy: far and beyond the stereotypes well spread outside the country. All participants are invited to make a video about Italian genius, as seen through three different points of view: food, fashion and design. "Food, fashion and furniture" – the "three f" Italy – become paths to discover and experiment, following the example of the project started in the previous edition with the song by Fabio Caon, Italians. Single students and groups must sign in online at premio.bonaccieditore.it and choose one of the three sessions of the Award: 1) Food 2) Fashion 3) Furniture. Videos must be uploaded directly on the Award site (as a avi, mpeg, mpeg2, mpeg4, wmv, mov, flv or 3gp file) and no longer than 3 minutes. Every video will be published online on Bonacci Editore website and on the Youtube channel. Each participant can submit only one video per session. At the time of uploading the video, a text file with the transcription can be added – not compulsory. Deadline is 31st March, 2017. From 15th to 30th of April the voting operations will be held, conducted by three different committees: the popular jury (whoever, via the website, can express a preference on any contribution); the Bonacci jury (consisting of employees and collaborators of the publishing house); the Scientific Committee of the Itals Lab – Intercultural Communication and Education of Venice Ca' Foscari University. According to the score obtained, top-‐rated in each category will be the winners and will receive a set of books worth a total of around 200 Euros. The award ceremony will take place in May 2017.
