Giuseppe Cataldi Giuseppe Cataldi is Professor of International Law and holder of a EU’s “Jean Monnet” Chair on the « Protection of Human Rights in Europe » at the University of Naples “L’Orientale” (Director of the Department of Social Sciences, 2002‐2005). Director of the National Researches Council’s Institute of International Juridical Studies (Neapolitan Branch), Member of the Council of Italian Society for the International Organization (Neapolitan Branch). Author and Editor of many books and articles on Public International Law and EU Law. He has given courses abroad, in particular in the following Universities : Paris 1 Sorbonne, Krakow, Wroclaw, Tunis, Tirana, Brest, Sévilla, Cordoba, Porto, Cairo, Alexandrie, Santiago (Chili), Rabat, Quito, and at the International Criminal Court. He gave a course in 2007 at the Hague Academy of International Law on “the execution of international decisions in domestic systems”. Member of the «Società italiana di diritto internazionale» and of the «Société française de droit international». Member of the Council of the International Association for the Law of the Sea (Vice‐president, 2002 – 2007; President, since October 2011). Member of the Group of experts on the “Governance of the Mediterranea Sea” appointed by the IUCN (International Union for the Conservation of Nature). Sometimes Advisor to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to the Italian Ministry of European Policies, to the «NATO Italian Civil Staff Association», to the EU Commission, to the Consular Corps of Naples, to the Municipality of Naples, to the Regional Government. Co‐director of “Diritti umani e diritto internazionale”, co‐editor of the Judicial Decisions Section of “The Italian Yearbook of International Law”.
