Jeanie Leung è nata e cresciuta a Hong Kong. Fin da bambina, sogna di diventare un’artista e un’astronauta.
Durante l’adolescenza però decide di studiare business al
college e successivamente si laurea in Scienza e Tecnologia
presso l’Università di Hong Kong.
Dopo aver lavorato per qualche anno nel settore bancario,
Jeanie Leung torna alla sua passione originaria e dal 2009
abbandona il proprio impiego per diventare un’artista a

Con una stupefacente genuinità e semplicità, la pittrice
attraverso i suoi personaggi ci
insegna così a riconoscere
quelle emozioni dell’esistenza,
che scaturiscono in realtà da

vita quotidiana.

strada di un viaggio appassionato alla riscoperta della propria
interiorità, che non si conclude
mai con un arrivo, ma sempre
con una nuova partenza.

infatti che, “un viaggio non

partiamo né finisce nel momento in cui raggiungiamo la meta.

Ad un solo anno di distanza, il grande debutto con la pubblicazione del libro illustrato “A Time for the Heart”, a cui farà
seguito nel 2011 la prima mostra personale “Smile, please”.
Dopo aver arricchito ulteriormente il proprio bagaglio culturale, nel 2015 i suoi dipinti sono esposti ad una fiera internazionale ad Hong Kong e nel 2016, Jeanie Leung calca nuovamente la scena artistica con “Treasure”, una nuova mostra
personale a Firenze, presso la Galleria360, attraverso la
quale l’artista ribadisce la propria volontà di rivelare a tutte le
persone la bellezza dei singoli istanti della vita.
Biography:
Jeanie Leung was born and raised in Hong Kong. Since childhood, she has dreamed of being an artist and an astronaut.
During adolescence, however, she decided to study business
and graduated in Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
After working for several years in the banking sector, Jeanie
Leung returned to her original passion and since 2009 abandoned her employment to become a full-time artist.
Just one year later, the grand debut with the publication of
the picture book "A Time for the Heart", which was followed
in 2011 by her first solo exhibition "Smile, please”.
After further enriched her cultural baggage, in 2015 her paintings were exposed at an international art fair in Hong Kong
and in 2016, Jeanie Leung treads again along the art scene
with "Treasure", a new solo exhibition in Florence at the
Galleria360, through which the artist reiterates her desire to
reveal to all people the beauty of individual instants of life.
