L’avventuroso viaggio compiuto a bordo
di una Fiat 1100 R nel continente africano, dal Cairo a Città del Capo, durante
la stagione delle piogge. La brevità del
documentario costringe l’autore a una
concisione che depura le immagini da
qualunque scoria esotico-turistica: un
montaggio asciutto lascia nello spettatore il segno di qualche presenza italiana
(l’Agip, la FIAT) annegata nella vastità di
un continente che spazia dall’affocato deserto alle algide scogliere sudafricane.

An eventful journey on board of a Fiat 1100
R through Africa, from Cairo to Capetown,
during the wet season. The documentary
shortness forces the author to be concise
and to show the mere images without any
exotic and tourist waste; a sharp editing
leaves the audience with few Italian signs
(Agip, Fiat) drowned in the vastness of a
continent widening from the burning desert
to the icy South-African shores.
