Press Release TRENITALIA/BIENNALE DI VENEZIA: REDUCTIONS AND REBATES FOR THE 69TH VENICE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL reserved to CARTAFRECCIA members and visitors travelling to Venice with Frecciargento and Frecciabianca reductions also on entrance fees for the 13th International Architecture Exhibition Rome - August 29, 2012 Travelling to Venice by train will give Trenitalia customers interesting reductions and rebates for the 69th International Film Festival, at Lido (from 29 Aug. to 8 Sept.) and for the 13th International Architecture Exhibition at Arsenale and Giardini (from 29 Aug. to 25 Nov.). The reductions, which are the result of the renovated agreement between Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane and Biennale di Venezia, will be reserved to CARTAFRECCIA holders (Trenitalia membership card) and visitors travelling to the lagoon city on Frecciargento and Frecciabianca trains. Trenitalia is, in fact, the official carrier of both events. Visitors travelling by train must show their train ticket with date of travel max. 3 days before; the holders of CARTAFRECCIA, instead, will simply need to exhibit their Trenitalia card at the Exhibition box office to obtain a reduction. When existing, discounts for the projections at the Film Festival will be applied until the available seats are sold out. 38 Frecciabianca trains connect Venice to Milan on a daily basis and 30 Frecciargento travel between the Capital City and Venice, for a total of about 14 thousand seats. Another Frecciabianca train connects Venice and Lecce during the summer. The appointments of the Venice Biennale will be reported on the media of GruppoFS Italiane, on the La Freccia magazine and on the new media, FSNews, FSNews Radio, LaFreccia.tv and Twitter, with the @fsnews_IT. profile. By renovating this collaboration, Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane confirms its commitment to promoting culture alongside international prestigious institutions. It is a natural vocation for a Company that has been rooted in the civil and economic fabric of the Country for over one century, which accounts today for about 74 thousands workers, and transports 600 million passengers every year on a railway network of over 16,700 km, of which 1,000 for HS trains.
