The Seminar on Canadian Studies: Current Issues will be held
at the University of Naples ‘L’Orientale’ in Procida. The first of
its kind in Italy, its main objective is to offer young scholars an
opportunity to update and share their knowledge on Canadian
Studies. The Seminar, sponsored by AISC (Associazione Italiana
di Studi Canadesi) and by the Canadian Embassy, is
interdisciplinary and multilingual.
The three-day full-immersion Seminar will provide a training
and learning opportunity on crucial contemporary issues and
recent critical approaches pertaining to a wide range of
disciplines.
The Seminar is aimed at young scholars (PhD, MA and
Graduate students) from different fields of study (Literature,
Linguistics, Geography, History, Law etc.). The program will
include plenary lectures by writers and scholars followed by
workshops tutored by experts.
Each workshop will provide study material. Participants
(max 30) will be granted a certificate for their attendance and
active participation in workshops equivalent to 2 CFU (ECTS).
