Festung Franzensfeste
Das von 1833-1838 erbaute riesige Labyrinth aus Räumen, Gängen und Treppen
war eine der stärksten Festungen im
Alpenraum, wenn auch ohne Kampfgeschehen. Seit ihrer Sanierung (versch.
Architekturpreise) ist sie Schauplatz von
Kunstausstellungen und Veranstaltungen.
Forte di Fortezza
L’enorme labirinto di stanze, corridoi e scale,
costruito tra il 1833 e il 1838, fu una delle
maggiori fortificazioni dell’arco alpino, anche se è sempre rimasta lontana da effettivi
combattimenti. Dopo il suo restauro (diversi
premi di architettura) è diventato un sito
che ospita mostre d’arte e altri grandi eventi.

Kloster Säben bei Klausen
Die Klosteranlage auf dem „Heiligen
Berg“ war der erste Bischofssitz Tirols
und zählt zu den ältesten Wallfahrtsorten Tirols. Zu besichtigen sind die
Kirchen und Kapelle der Anlage. Das
bewohnte Kloster ist nicht zugänglich.

Kollmann – die alte Zollstation
Kollmann liegt am Ausgangspunkt
der alten Kaiserstraße und soll
bereits zur Römerzeit besiedelt
gewesen sein. Die 1483 errichtete
Zollstation wird heute als Gasthof
Friedburg geführt.
Colma – l’antica dogana
Colma si trova all’inizio dell’antica
strada imperiale e sembra sia stata
abitata già ai tempi dei romani. Nella
stazione doganale, istituita nel 1483,
oggi si trova l’albergo Friedburg.

Brennerradroute Brenner-Bozen eine Länge von 96 Kilometern.
Tappa 2: da Bressanone a Bolzano
Dalla città vescovile fino a Bolzano la ciclabile corre leggera lungo il fondovalle sinuoso della Valle Isarco, ma prima di arrivare al capoluogo, merita
senz’altro visitare Chiusa, la cittadina degli artisti, dominata dall’imponente
convento di Sabiona. La ciclabile Brennero–Bolzano percorre complessivamente 96 chilometri, dal confine con l’Austria a Bolzano.
Leg 2: from Bressanone|Brixen to Bolzano|Bozen
The section between Bressanone|Brixen and Bolzano|Bolzano is another
brisk ride through the narrow Isarco Valley, with a stopover in the artists’
town of Chiusa|Klausen, known for the imposing hilltop Sabiona|Säben
Abbey. From Brennero|Brenner on the Austrian border, the Bike Route runs a
total of 96 kilometers all the way down to Bolzano|Bozen.

Die Brennerradroute Brenner-Bozen startet am Brenner und führt entlang der
ehemaligen Bahntrasse leicht absteigend bis nach Sterzing. Auf der markierten
Radroute geht es teils eben und leicht ansteigend durch malerische Dörfer, kleine Weiler bis zur Festung Franzensfeste, vorbei am Vahrner See über den Kastanienweg hin zum traditionsreichen Kloster Neustift und von dort nach Brixen.
Tappa 1: dal Brennero a Bressanone
La ciclabile Brennero-Bolzano parte dal valico di frontiera e nel tratto iniziale,
fino a Vipiteno, corre in leggera discesa accanto ai binari dell’antica ferrovia. Poi
la pista alterna tratti in pianura a leggere salite e costeggia paesini pittoreschi e
piccoli specchi d’acqua fino alla fortificazione di Fortezza; quindi passa vicino al
laghetto di Varna e, seguendo il Sentiero delle castagne, arriva all’antica Abbazia
di Novacella e quindi a Bressanone.
Leg 1: from Brennero|Brenner Pass to Bressanone|Brixen
The Brennero|Brenner-Bolzano|Bozen Bike Route starts at the Brennero|Brenner
Pass and follows the old railway line along a slight downhill gradient until
it reaches Vipiteno|Sterzing. The sign-posted Bike Route partly levels out,
ascending slightly through picturesque villages and hamlets right up to the
Franzensfeste Fortress. Passing Varna|Vahrn Lake, it follows the Chestnut Trail to
Novacella|Neustift Abbey, then continuing to Bressanone|Brixen.
