This is the context of the “Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) for the Ageing
Society” strategic objective 2.6.2 of the IST priority. Fully in line with these
objectives, the SENSACTION-AAL project will address one of the main
problems for elderly people: motor disabilities. In this context, the
objective of the project is to (1) improve living conditions for elderly
people, (2) reduce their risk of falling due to the loss of balance
characteristic of various common diseases (e.g., Parkinson's
disease and stroke), and (3) allow them to live and perform targeted
training or rehabilitation in their most familiar environments while
living a normal life.
