Dal libro di testo in adozione Radley & Simonetti, NEW HORIZONS 1, Oxford sono state svolte le
unità 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16.
Strutture grammaticali: would like + infinitive, expressions Why don’t we...?, Let’s..., Shall we...?,
How about/What about ...?, would prefer/rather, modal verbs can, could, may for ability, permission
and requests, adverbs very much, a lot, well, (not) very well, past time expressions, prepositions
of place and movement, simple past of to be, of regular and irregular verbs, subject/object
questions with Who? What?, sequencers first, then, next, after that, finally, question words Whose?
How long?, possessive pronouns, imperative, comparative and superlative adjectives, present
simple and present continuous for future, compounds of every/some/any/no, be going to for future
intentions and predictions, future time expressions, I’ll and Shall I/we...? for offers, will for decisions
and predictions.
Lessico: abilità, luoghi, vacanze, trasporti pubblici, indicazioni stradali, negozi, soldi, vestiti e
moda, città e campagna, ambizioni, scelte di vita.
Funzioni comunicative: fare richieste e offerte, fare delle proposte, parlare delle abilità, parlare
del passato, chiedere il permesso, parlare delle vacanze, parlare del viaggiare con mezzi pubblici,
individuare il possessore, chiedere e dare indicazioni stradali, fare paragoni, fare acquisti,
descrivere l’abbigliamento, esprimere intenzioni per il futuro, parlare di azioni già programmate,
prendere e parlare di accordi, fare previsioni certe, offrire aiuto.
Cultura e civiltà: il gap generazionale, i gap year, trasporti pubblici in Gran Bretagna, Londra nel
21° secolo, mercato di Camden a Londra, gli adolescenti britannici e lo shopping, Hard
Rock Cafè e Planet Hollywood.
Lavori di gruppo sui seguenti luoghi di interesse a Londra: Big Ben, Tower of London, Westminster
Abbey, Piccadilly Circus, Victoria Memorial, Albert Memorial, The London Eye, Madame
Tussauds, Buckingham Palace.
