UNDERGRADUATE
STUDIES
Undergraduate studies consist
exclusively in Bachelor’s Degree
Programs (in Italian, Corsi di Laurea
Triennale).
They last three years and require
180 ECTS credits for completion. The programs aim at providing
undergraduate students with
adequate knowledge of general
scientific principles and mastery
of methods, as well as specific
professional skills. The degree
awarded is a Bachelor’s Degree.
LUISS Guido Carli offers full-time
undergraduate study in three of
its four Departments: Economics &
Finance, Business & Management and
Political Science.
SINGLE CYCLE PROGRAM
Along with the three-cycle program
system (Undergraduate, Graduate and
Postgraduate Studies) established by
the Italian Ministry for Universities
and Research, a limited number
of programs, called Single Cycle
Programs (in Italian, Corsi di Laurea
Magistrale a Ciclo Unico), coexist with
the new university system. They last five years and require 300
ECTS credits for completion. The
degree awarded is a Master’s Degree.
LUISS Guido Carli offers a Single
Cycle Program in Law, which is held
in Italian. During the first seven
semesters (three and a half years),
students have a common program
of studies. In their fourth academic
year, they are required to choose one
of the paths offered by the Program.

A CICLO UNICO
Accanto al sistema di Corsi di Laurea
Triennale, Magistrale e Post Lauream
istituito dal Ministero italiano
dell’Università e della Ricerca, un
numero limitato di programmi,
chiamati Corsi di Laurea Magistrale
a Ciclo Unico, coesiste con il nuovo
sistema universitario. Questi
programmi durano cinque anni e
richiedono il conseguimento di 300
crediti ECTS. Al termine del corso di
studi viene rilasciato un diploma
di laurea magistrale. La LUISS offre un
unico Corso di Laura Magistrale a ciclo
unico in Giurisprudenza, in italiano.

Il Dipartimento si occupa della
gestione del corso di Laurea triennale
in inglese in Economics and Business,
del corso di Laurea magistrale in
Economia e Finanza (all'interno del
quale è possibile seguire percorsi
specifici in italiano e inglese).
La ricerca approfondisce molteplici
tematiche relative all'analisi dei
comportamenti individuali e aggregati,
nei settori dell'economia reale,
monetaria e finanziaria.

The Department of Economics and
Finance aggregates specific academic
skills in economics and finance
with quantitative methods applied
to economic, social, financial and
corporate sciences.
The Department manages the

majors in Italian and English).
The Department organizes also the
Research in Economics and Finance,

Department of Law
The Department of Law has two
different tasks: organizing the
teaching of the five-year degree
course in Law and promoting and
coordinating scientific research
with courses and doctoral research
fellowships in the field of law. From
2013-14, the Department will also offer
a path of the single cycle course (EU
law and regulation), completely taught
in English. The education offered
is characterized by highly qualified
and innovative professional training,
focused on turning out corporate
and company lawyers. Furthermore,
particular attention is paid to the
business and the world of labor:
students are expected to complete
internships and apprenticeships at
numerous distinguished organizations
and businesses. The teaching staff
is, comprised of eminent jurists,
accomplished in transmitting basic
theoretical notions to students as well
as case history analysis.

Dipartimento di Giurisprudenza
Il Dipartimento di Giurisprudenza
ha il compito di organizzare
l'attività didattica del corso di laurea
quinquennale in Giurisprudenza e di
promuovere e coordinare la ricerca
scientifica nonché sviluppare i corsi
di dottorato nel campo giuridico.
Dal 2013-14, il Dipartimento offrirà
un Profilo del corso di laurea a ciclo
unico (EU law and regulation), in
lingua inglese. L’offerta formativa è
caratterizzata da un insegnamento
altamente qualificato e un’innovativa
formazione professionale, mirante
a formare figure di giuristi d'impresa.
Inoltre, particolare attenzione
è prestata al mondo del lavoro:
gli studenti sono tenuti a completare
stage e tirocini presso numerose
organizzazioni e imprese.
Il corpo docente è riconosciuto
per l’altissimo livello di formazione
ed è composto di eminenti giuristi,
impegnati nel trasmettere agli studenti
non solo nozioni teoriche di base
ma anche l’analisi di casi concreti.

Il Dipartimento di Scienze Politiche ha
un'impostazione interdisciplinare, sia
nell'ambito della didattica sia in quello
della ricerca.
L’offerta formativa del Dipartimento
prevede un corso di Laurea Triennale
e due corsi di Laurea Magistrale con
indirizzi in lingua italiana e in lingua
inglese.
Nell’ambito della didattica il
Dipartimento cerca di coniugare

“Discovering Secret Rome”, launched
in 2011, that consists in cultural

academic life. It takes care of the
following: enrolment; admission
to degree courses; payment of fees;

The Placement & Career Education
Office supports students who are
looking for an internship during
or after their studies and offers
them useful tools before entering
the business world and gaining
professional experience. Through
the organization of the Career Day,
students and graduates also have the
possibility to meet representatives
from selected Companies,
institutions and law firms, propose
their CVs and have openings for job
interviews.
Cultural and Leisure activities
LUISS offers students the
possibility to participate to
activities like Radio LUISS and
the LUISS TV, either than drama
courses, Cineforums, photography
and writing contests, etc. The

with a number of theatres in Rome,
offering students cut price tickets or

Library
The Library is specialized in Social
Sciences, particularly in Law,
Economics and Political Science.
The collections provide over
125.000 monographs, 2.000 printed
periodicals (including 850 current
publications), more than 63.000
periodicals in electronic format,
13.000 e-books, 75 data banks. Expert
librarians offer general bibliographic
advice and assistance for consulting
catalogues and data banks.
Financial Aid Office
The Financial Aid Office manages a
number of services – i.e. University
Canteen, the medical and prevention
Service - and scholarships for
students in order to facilitate their
stay at LUISS. More in the specific,
the Financial Aid Office offers
Healthcare and nutritional advice,
a free service to help students settle
in, with private counseling and
psychological care services named
“LUISS ti ascolta”, assistance to
deserving students with particular

registrazione agli esami, scelta
dei corsi di studio, discussione
della tesi di laurea, cambi di corso

La LUISS offre agli studenti la
