Geschichte des Unternehmens
Fondata nel 1974, col nome di Appaloosa, nasce dalla passione della famiglia
Stocchetti-Rasia per il mondo dell’equitazione e per tutto ciò che intorno ad essa
si muove: ponendo particolare attenzione alle caratteristiche morfologiche delle
diverse razze equine ed alle esigenze di comodità e di equilibrio dei cavalieri.
Con il tempo le conoscenze tecniche si arricchiscono assorbendo in Germania,
in Inghilterra ed in Svizzera le tradizioni più antiche dell’arte della fabbricazione
delle selle. Nasce da qui l’intuizione che la sella, principale mezzo di contatto
tra cavallo e cavaliere, sia lo strumento migliore per soddisfare le necessità e le
esigenze di entrambi; l’idea che la sella debba crescere attorno ad un telaio di
nuova concezione, dotato della più ampia flessibilità, concepito per distribuire
uniformemente il peso del cavaliere sul dorso del cavallo e adattabile alle diverse
morfologie, questa idea diventa un business.
Le conoscenze acquisite e sperimentate, grazie anche all’apporto di un team di
professionisti e di appassionati del settore, vengono applicate sui migliori pellami

da visita, con cui l’azienda si presenta sui mercati mondiali, e la sua prima sella si
chiama Prestige.
L’azienda, che intanto cambia nome per diventare Prestige Italia SpA risponde
alla crescita del suo posizionamento nel mercato adeguando le proprie strutture
amministrative e commerciali, che vengono trasferite dalla storica sede di
Quargnenta alla nuova struttura di Trissino, senza comunque mai tradire quelle
caratteristiche di avanguardia del settore e di qualità produttiva, che sono il suo
vanto principale.
Un successo Made in Italy testimoniato ogni giorno dai grandi campioni
dell’equitazione che da sempre scelgono la precisione e la tecnica delle selle
Prestige.
Histoire de l’entreprise
Das Unternehmen wurde im Jahr 1974 unter dem Namen Appaloosa von der
Familie Stochetti-Rasia gegründet, die begeisterte Liebhaber all dessen waren,
was auch nur im Entferntesten mit der Welt der Pferde zu tun hatte. Ihr besonderes
Interesse galt dabei dem Körperbau der verschiedenen Pferderassen sowie dem
Komfort und dem Gleichgewicht des Reiters. Im Laufe der Zeit sammelt das
Unternehmen technisches Knowhow und übernimmt aus Deutschland, England
und der Schweiz die bewährtesten Traditionen der Sattlerei. Daraus erwächst die
Erkenntnis, dass der Sattel der wichtigste Berührungspunkt zwischen Pferd und
Reiter ist und deshalb eben dort angesetzt werden muss, um den Anforderungen
beider bestmöglich gerecht zu werden. Der Sattel muss sich um einen neu
konzipierten Sattelbaum herum entwickeln, der flexibel und so gestaltet sein muss,
dass sich das Gewicht des Reiters gleichmäßig auf dem Pferderücken verteilt und
er sich an den Körperbau eines jeden Pferdes anpasst. Und dieser Gedanke wurde
zum Grundsatz. Neben ihrem Knowhow, das auch dank der Mitarbeit eines Teams
von Fachkräften und Liebhabern der Branche gesammelt und erprobt werden
konnte, setzt das Unternehmen nur die besten Ledersorten aus ganz Europa ein,
die kunstgerecht verarbeitet werden. Und dies ist die Visitenkarte, mit der sich das
Unternehmen auf dem Weltmarkt vorstellt. Sein erster Sattel trägt den Namen
Prestige. Das Unternehmen, das inzwischen seinen Namen geändert hat und nun
Prestige Italia Spa heißt, erfreut sich zunehmenden Erfolges auf dem Markt und
weitet dementsprechend seine Verwaltungs- und Vertriebsstrukturen aus, die vom
bisherigen Sitz in Quargnenta in ein neues Gebäude in Trissino verlegt werden.
Unverändert bleiben der innovative Geist und die Produktqualität, die das Prestige
des Unternehmens ausmachen. Ein Erfolg des „Made in Italy“, der von den großen
Meistern des Reitsports, die auf die Präzision und die Technik der Sättel von

history of the business
La société, avec le nom Appaloosa, est née en 1974 de la passion que la famille
Stocchetti-Rasia nourrissait pour le monde de l’équitation et tout ce qui gravite
autour, en prêtant une attention particulière aux caractéristiques morphologiques
des différentes races de chevaux et aux exigences de confort et d’équilibre des
cavaliers.
Avec le temps, les connaissances techniques s’enrichissent grâce à l’assimilation
des traditions les plus anciennes développées par les Allemands, les Anglais et les
Suisses dans l’art de fabriquer les selles.
Il en découle que l’on comprend que, étant donné que la selle est le principal
moyen de contact entre le cheval et le cavalier, elle constitue le meilleur instrument
pour répondre aux besoins et aux exigences de l’un comme de l’autre. De même,
on transforme en une affaire commerciale l’idée que la selle doit se développer
autour d’un nouveau type d’arçon présentant une plus grande souplesse, conçu
pour distribuer de façon uniforme le poids du cavalier sur le dos du cheval et
sachant s’adapter à ses différentes morphologies.
Les connaissances acquises et expérimentées, également grâce à l’apport d’une
équipe de professionnels et de passionnés de l’équitation, sont appliquées sur les
meilleurs cuirs d’Europe avec un travail artisanal soigné. Tel est la carte de visite
avec laquelle l’entreprise se présente aux marchés internationaux. Sa première

pour mieux répondre à l’amélioration de son positionnement sur le marché, en
adaptant en conséquence ses structures administratives et commerciales qui
sont transférées du siège historique de Quargnenta au nouveau établissement de
Trissino, sans toutefois jamais trahir les caractéristiques d’avant-garde du secteur et
de qualité de production qui sont sa plus grande fierté.

Founded in 1974 with the name of Appaloosa, the business was started through
the inovation of the Stocchetti-Rasia family and their passion for horse riding and
everything to do with it. Particular importance was laid on the different features of
the each equine breed and on the needs of riders for comfort and balance.
Over time the business acquired greater technical knowledge Germany, England,
and Switzerland, assimilated their longstanding traditions in saddle-making.
The conclusion was the idea that saddles being the main means of securing
contact between horse and rider, are also the best solution for satisfying the needs
of both. An idea – that the saddle must be developed around a tree of new design,
characterised by the utmost flexibility, intended to distribute the weight of the rider
uniformly over the horse’s back, and able to adapt to different morphologies – was
transformed into a business.
The knowledge gained from testing in partnership with a team of riding
professionals and enthusiasts – was harnessed in the highest-quality hides in
Europe and backed up by thorough craftmanship. There were the credentials of
the businesses when it made its debut on world markets. Aptly, the name of its first
saddle was Prestige.
The business, which in the meantime had changed its name to Prestige Italia
spa, responded to the growth fuelled by its market positioning with changes to its
administration and sales. Their relocation, from Quargnenta, where the business
began, to new premises at Trissino, was carried through without ever compromising
on its leading-edge status in the sector and its manufacturing quality, which are its
strongest features.
The business is a “Made in Italy” success story, as confirmed by the major horseriding champions who always opt for the precision and technique of Prestige

Il telaio delle selle Prestige, che è concepito per adattarsi perfettamente al cavallo
e mantenere il migliore assetto del cavaliere, viene costruito con un particolare mix
di fibre composite che permette di recuperare in peso almeno 1 kg rispetto ai telai
tradizionali e non necessita d’alcun rinforzo metallico.
Questo telaio ha dei vantaggi rispetto a quelli costruiti con materiali naturali come il
legno, che è elastico ma sempre “vivo” e che pertanto con il variare delle condizioni
atmosferiche e il passare degli anni muta le sue caratteristiche diventando meno
stabile e meno resistente.
Il telaio Prestige, invece, è stato appositamente studiato per dare la stessa elasticità
del telaio in legno assicurando però la massima stabilità nel tempo, non a caso la
sua garanzia è a vita tranne in caso di incidente. In più, il telaio Prestige è sempre
modificabile nell’apertura: può essere stretto o allargato in base alla morfologia
del cavallo senza dover smontare la sella. Questo consente d’utilizzare il prodotto
anche in presenza di variazioni di morfologia del cavallo.
L’ARçON Prestige, caractéristiques

L’arçon des selles Prestige est conçu pour s’adapter parfaitement au cheval et
maintenir le meilleur équilibre du cavalier. Il est fabriqué avec un mélange particulier
de fibres composites, qui permet d’alléger l’arçon d’au moins un kilo par rapport
aux arçons traditionnels et il ne réclame aucun renforcement métallique.
Cet arçon a des avantages par rapport à ceux qui sont fabriqués avec des matières
naturelles comme le bois, qui est élastique, mais toujours « vivant », ce qui implique
que la modification des conditions atmosphériques et le temps changent ses
caractéristiques et le rendent moins stable et moins résistant.
En revanche, l’arçon a été spécifiquement conçu pour offrir la même élasticité que
l’arçon en bois, en assurant toutefois la plus haute stabilité dans le temps, ce qui lui
permet d’être garanti à vie, sauf en cas d’accident.
En plus, l’arçon Prestige a toujours une ouverture modifiable. Il peut être étroit ou
élargi en fonction de la morphologie du cheval sans devoir démonter la selle. Cela
permet d’utiliser le produit même en cas de variations de la morphologie du cheval.

Die Sattelbäume von Prestige sind so konzipiert, dass sie sich perfekt an das Pferd
anpassen und eine optimale Gleichgewichtslage des Reiters gewährleisten. Sie
bestehen aus einer besonderen Mischung von Verbundfasern, mit der im Vergleich
zu herkömmlichen Sattelbäumen mindestens 1 kg Gewicht eingespart werden
kann. Stützende Metallteile sind nicht erforderlich.
Das verwendete Material weist gegenüber natürlichen Materialien wie Holz einige
Vorteile auf. Holz ist elastisch, aber es “lebt“ und seine Eigenschaften verändern
sich je nach Wetterbedingungen und im Laufe der Zeit, auf Kosten von Stabilität
und Widerstandsfähigkeit. Der Sattelbaum von Prestige bietet dieselbe Elastizität
wie ein Sattelbaum aus Holz, garantiert jedoch eine langanhaltende Stabilität, und
deshalb gewähren wir, außer bei Unfällen, eine unbefristete Garantie.
Daneben kann die Kammerweite des Sattelbaumes von Prestige auf den
Körperbau des Pferdes angepasst werden, ohne den Sattel zerlegen zu müssen.
Die Sattelmodelle eignen sich damit für Pferde mit unterschiedlichem Körperbau.
The Prestige tree:
characteristics and merits
The tree used in Prestige saddles has been designed to adapt perfectly to the
horse and to maintain the best seat for the rider. Made of a special mix of fibres, it
is at least 1 kg lighter than traditional saddles and needs no metal reinforcement.
This saddle has advantages over those made of natural materials, like wood.
Though wood is elastic, it still has “life” in it. For this reason as atmospheric
conditions change and the years go by the characteristics of the wood change,
becoming less stable and less resistant.
The Prestige tree, on the other hand, was purposely designed to provide the same
elasticity as one made of wood while, at the same time, ensuring maximum stability
over time. It is so durable that it offers a lifetime’s guarantee, except in the case of
an accident.
In addition, the width of a Prestige saddle can always be altered. It can be narrowed
or widened many times, depending on the shape of the horse, without having to
take the saddle apart. For this reason even when the shape of the horse changes
the product remains usable.
Posizionare la sella correttamente

main entre la coude et la sangle. Ne pas oublier que la partie avancée d’une selle
pourrait dépasser l’épaule du cheval mais que la partie fixe de la selle, l’arçon, ne
devrait jamais le faire.

The saddle must be positioned in such a way that there is enough space between
the shoulder and the saddle so that shoulder movement is not restricted (see
drawing). The way to do this is to run the end of your hand over the shoulder of the
horse until you locate the scapula bone. Allow for a minimum width of about two
fingers and that is the place to position the saddle. This will leave a space, about
the width of the palm of your hand, between the elbow and the girth. Remember
that the front part the panels, of a jumping saddle could project over the shoulder of
the horse but the fixed part, the tree, must never do so.

I cinque punti da rispettare
Fünf Punkte, die es einzuhalten gilt
1 - Misura del telaio: In una sella che appoggia nel modo corretto il telaio scorre
parallelo e il più vicino possibile alla forma della schiena del cavallo.
2 - Rispetto della spina dorsale e del garrese: Il canale fra i cuscini della sella
deve essere tale da rispettare la spina dorsale del cavallo senza gravare con il
peso del cavaliere. La misura della apertura del pomo della sella deve essere
tale da garantire la vecchia regola delle “4 dita” (circa 5 cm) tra il pomo della
sella e il garrese del cavallo.
3 - Bilanciamento: Una volta stabilita la giusta misura del telaio, ci si deve
focalizzare sul corretto bilanciamento della sella. La sella deve poggiare sul
dorso del cavallo seguendone la geometria in modo che il peso del cavaliere
sia distribuito uniformemente su tutta la superficie al fine di evitare di gravare
troppo sul davanti (scapole del cavallo) o sul dietro (reni del cavallo).
4 - Il contatto dei cuscini: I cuscini devono aderire completamente e per tutta la
loro lunghezza al dorso del cavallo, questo garantisce la corretta distribuzione
del peso del cavaliere
5 - Simmetria: Osservando il cavallo dalla parte posteriore verificate che la sella
appoggi parallela e si trovi in posizione simmetrica rispetto alla spina dorsale
del cavallo.
Se la sella supera questi 5 controlli, significa che essa poggia correttamente e
risulta comoda per il cavallo.

1 - Mesure de l’arçon : Dans une selle posée correctement, l’arçon s’allonge
parallèlement et le plus près possible de la forme du dos du cheval.
2 - Respect de l’épine dorsale et du garrot : Le canal entre les coussins de
la selle doit respecter l’épine dorsale du cheval sans l’écraser avec le poids
du cavalier. La mesure de l’ouverture du pommeau de la selle doit garantir la
fameuse règle des « 4 doigts » (environ 5 cm) entre le pommeau de la selle et
le garrot du cheval.
3 - Équilibre : Une fois que l’on a établi la bonne mesure de l’arçon, il faut se
concentrer sur le bon équilibre de la selle. La selle doit être posée sur le dos du
cheval en suivant sa forme, de façon à ce que le poids du cavalier soit distribué
de façon uniforme sur toute la surface afin d’éviter de trop peser sur le devant
(omoplates du cheval) ou sur l’arrière (reins du cheval).
4 - Le contact des coussins : Les coussins doivent adhérer complètement et
sur toute leur longueur au le dos du cheval, de manière à garantir la bonne
distribution du poids du cavalier
5 - Symétrie : En observant le cheval de l’arrière, s’assurer que la selle est posée
de façon parallèle et qu’elle se trouve dans une position symétrique par rapport
à l’épine dorsale du cheval
Si la selle satisfait à ces cinq conditions, cela signifie qu’elle est posée correctement
et qu’elle est confortable pour le cheval.

worden, muss für die ausgeglichene Lage des Sattels gesorgt werden. Der
Sattel muss auf dem Rücken des Pferdes aufliegen und sich an dessen Form
anpassen. Das Gewicht des Reiters muss gleichmäßig auf der Oberfläche
verteilt sein, um weder das Vorderteil (Schulterblätter) noch das hintere Teil
(Nieren) des Pferdes zu stark zu belasten.
4 - Anliegen der Sattelkisen: Die Kissen müssen in ihrer ganzen Länge am
Pferdekörper anliegen. Dadurch wird das Gewicht des Reiters gleichmäßig
verteilt.
5 - S ymmetrie: Betrachten Sie das Pferd von hinten und überprüfen Sie, ob der
Sattel parallel und symmetrisch zur Wirbelsäule des Pferdes aufliegt.

Five cardinal rules
1 - Tree size: If a saddle is correctly positioned the tree will extend parallel to the
back of the horse and be as close as possible to it.

onsideration for the horse’s backbone and withers: The width between
the saddle panels must leave enough room for the horse’s spine and not bear
down on it under the weight of the rider. The space between the pommel of the
saddle and the horses wither must be such as to be compliant with the age-old
“4-fingers” rule (corresponding to about 5 cm).

alancing: Once the right tree size has been found, the next step is to ensure
the saddle is properly balanced. When it rests in position, the saddle must
conform to the horse’s back in a way that evenly distributes the weight of the
rider over the entire surface and prevents it from bearing down too much to the
front (the scapula bones of the horse) or to the back (the loins of the horse).

ontact by the panels: The panels must, in their entirety and along their full
length, form a snug fit with the horse’s back. This will ensure proper distribution
of the weight of the rider.
5 - S ymmetry: Look at the horse from the rear and check that the saddle rests
parallel to the backbone of the horse and is positioned symmetrically on it.
If the saddle complies with these five rules it will be properly positioned and be
comfortable for the horse.

Prestige Italia ha sviluppato un sistema di misurazione della schiena del cavallo
unico e assolutamente innovativo. Avvalendosi del garresometro, uno speciale
strumento a forma di bastone che ha la caratteristica di mantenere qualsiasi forma
si faccia assumere e presenta alcune tacche di riferimento, si possono riportare su
carta le esatte caratteristiche morfologiche dei cavalli.
Prestige si avvale inoltre di una speciale livella che determina il punto esatto in
cui il cavallo è orizzontale in modo da costruire cuscini ad hoc in base alla sua
morfologia. Lo scopo è di costruire cuscini più alti o più bassi per mettere sempre il
cavaliere in bilanciamento sulla sella.

evidenza le 10 diverse misure di apertura di garrese delle selle Prestige: dalla 29
alla 37. Grazie alla possibilità di creare dei cuscini maggiorati o ribassati si riesce
a vestire perfettamente il cavallo in base alla sua particolare morfologia. Sella su
misura per il cavaliere: Lo schema mette anche in evidenza come le selle Prestige
possano essere create su misura anche per il cavaliere. Principio valido per tutte le
selle Prestige eccezion fatta per la linea Trekker.

Prestige Italia hat eine einzigartige und vollkommen neuartige Methode zur
Messung des Pferderückens entwickelt. Es handelt sich um den sogenannten
Widerristmesser, ein Messinstrument in der Form eines Stockes, der jegliche Form
beibehält, die man ihm verleiht, und einige Bezugskerben aufweist. Damit können
die exakten körperbaulichen Eigenschaften des Pferdes auf Papier übertragen
werden. Daneben verwendet Prestige eine besondere Wasserwaage, um den
genauen Punkt festzustellen, an dem der Pferderücken vollkommen gerade
verläuft. Die Sattelkissen können damit an den Körperbau des Pferdes angepasst
und höher oder tiefer angesetzt werden, damit der Reiter auf dem Sattel stets eine
gute Gleichgewichtslage hat. Sattel nach Maß für das Pferd: siehe Übersicht über
die technischen Eigenschaften; die Sättel von Prestige sind in 10 verschiedenen
Kammerweiten erhältlich, von 29 bis 37. Durch die Möglichkeit, die Sattelkissen
höher oder tiefer anzusetzen, kann der Sattel perfekt an jedes Pferd und jede
Körperform angepasst werden. Sattel nach Maß für den Reiter: Die Übersicht zeigt
auch, dass die Sättel auch in Bezug auf den Reiter nach Maß gefertigt sind. Das
Prinzip gilt für alle Prestige-Sättel, mit Ausnahme der Linie Trekker.
Made to measure saddles
Prestige Italia a développé un système de mesure du dos du cheval unique et
absolument novateur. A l’aide d’un garrotmètre, un instrument spécial en forme de
bâton qui a la caractéristique de maintenir toutes les formes qu’on lui fait prendre
et présente quelques crans de référence, il est possible de noter sur une feuille de
papier les caractéristiques morphologiques exactes des chevaux.
Prestige dispose également d’un niveau spécial qui lui permet de déterminer
le point exact où le cheval est horizontal, de manière à réaliser des coussins
spécifiques en fonction de sa morphologie. Le but est de construire des coussins
plus hauts ou plus bas pour que le cavalier soit toujours en équilibre sur la selle.
Selle sur mesure pour le cheval : Le schéma des caractéristiques techniques
présente les dix différentes mesures d’ouverture du garrot des selles Prestige : de
29 à 37. Grâce à la possibilité de créer des coussins épaissis ou rabaissés, on
parvient à seller parfaitement le cheval selon sa propre morphologie.
Selle sur mesure pour le cavalier : Le schéma met également bien évidence
que les selles Prestige peuvent être créées sur mesure pour le cavalier lui aussi.

Prestige Italia has developed a way of measuring a horse’s back that is unique
and absolutely innovative. It enables the exact morphological features of a horse
to be transferred onto paper by using a withers gauge. This special rod-shaped
instrument is able to maintain whatever shape it is bent into and is notched for
measuring purposes.
Prestige also uses a special level that finds the exact point at which the horse’s
backbone is horizontal. By using this method panels can be customized specifically
to the horse’s back that is being measured.
The aim is to make higher or lower panels that ensure the rider has the proper
balance in the saddle.
Made-to-measure saddles for horses: the technical characteristics show the 10
different width sizes for Prestige saddles: from 29 to 37. Because panels can be

Particolarità
Le selle con quartieri e quartierini doppiati con pelli di vitello offrono particolari
caratteristiche di morbidezza e di design; naturalmente non possono garantire la
stessa resistenza all’usura di quelle tradizionali con quartieri in cuoio.
Nella costruzione dei cuscini delle selle e dei sottopancia vengono utilizzate pelli di
vitello sottoposte, in fase di concia, ad un particolare trattamento antisudore che
riduce al minimo la manutenzione e ne assicura la lunga durata.
Selle con cuscini imbottiti
Cuscini imbottiti con una particolare fibra sintetica che evita il compattamento del
materiale e quindi richiede meno manutenzione. Sono cuscini che si adattano
particolarmente bene a cavalli con morfologie asimmetriche tra anteriore e
posteriore o viceversa e offrono più opzioni: cuscini +1 cm / +2 cm dietro oppure
mezza imbottitura.
Selle con cuscini in latex
Cuscini in morbido latex scaricati nella zona del garrese e delle spalle per offrire
maggiore libertà di movimento evitando così pressioni sul garrese stesso.
Per morfologie con asimmetrie tra anteriore e posteriore o viceversa, possibilità di
maggiorare i cuscini +1,5 cm dietro oppure cuscini di mezzo spessore.
Leder
Das verwendete Leder wird aus Freilandrindern durch Pflanzengerbung hergestellt.

S TEIGBÜGELRIEMEN

BESONDERHEIT
Die Sättel mit in Kalbsleder dublierten großen und kleinen Sattelblättern sind
besonders weich und bestechen durch ihr schönes Design. Natürlich sind sie nicht
genauso widerstandsfähig wie traditionelle Modelle mit Sattelblättern aus Leder.
Für Kissen und Bauchriemen wird Kalbsleder verwendet, das bei der Gerbung
einer besonderen Schweißschutzbehandlung unterzogen wird, durch die der
Pflegeaufwand verringert und die Haltbarkeit erhöht wird.
SÄTTEL MIT GEPOLSTERTEN KISSEN
Die Kissen werden mit einer besonderen Kunstfaser gepolstert, die im Laufe der
Zeit nicht nachgibt und deshalb einen geringeren Wartungsaufwand erfordert. Diese
Kissen passen sich besonders gut an Pferde an, die einen vorne oder hinten nicht
symmetrischen Körperbau aufweisen. Es gibt folgende Auswahlmöglichkeiten:

Particularités
Les selles avec quartiers et petits quartiers doublés veaux offrent des
caractéristiques particulières de douceur et de design; naturellement elles ne
peuvent garantir la même résistance à l’usure que celles traditionnelles avec
quartiers en cuir.
Pour la fabrication des coussins et des sangles nous utilisons des peaux de veaux
soumises, pendant la phase de tannage, à un traitement particulier anti-transpiration
qui réduit au minimum la manutention et assure une longue durée.
SELLES AVEC COUSSINS REMBOURRÉS
Les coussins sont rembourrés avec une fibre synthétique particulière qui empêche
le matériau de se tasser et demande donc moins d’entretien. Ce sont des

Be careful with boots that incorporate rubber or coarse material. They
accelerate the wear on calfskin-lined saddle flaps by rubbing up against them.
Details
Saddles which have flaps made from calf skin leather provide instant softness along
with additional grip, therefore this must be taken into consideration as it is not as
durable as traditional saddle leather.
The leather, which is used for the panels and the girths, is treated with an antisweat process, thus reducing the amount of maintenance required and reinforcing
strength within these areas.
SADDLES WITH FLOCKED PANELS
Our panels flocked with a special synthetic fibre that prevents compression of the
material and therefore requires less maintenance. These panels are especially
suited to horses that are asymmetric between their front and back or vice versa.
They also offer more options: panels +1 cm / +2 cm at the back or with half
stuffing.
SADDLES WITH LATEX PANELS
These soft-latex panels have reduced weight in the area of the withers and

Questa sella viene venduta con
una misura di apertura di garrese
nettamente più ampia: 2 misure in
più rispetto alle selle normali. Quando
si appoggia la sella sulla schiena
del cavallo, senza essere cinghiata,
essa dondola vistosamente in senso
longitudinale e trasversale. Nel caso
particolare della Iceland D1 ciò non
significa che la sella non va bene per
il cavallo.
3 cose sono da tener presenti:
La Iceland D1 si fissa correttamente
solo attraverso i riscontri posteriori.
Partendo dal lato destro viene fissato
il sottopancia ad esempio al terzo
buco di entrambi i riscontri dopo di
che il sottopancia viene fissato al lato
sinistro con il riscontro posteriore ad
una normale tensione. Nel caso in cui
il cavallo sia irrequieto e la sella scivoli
indietro, bisogna compensare con una
leggera spinta in avanti.
Dopo di ciò si passa al fissaggio
del sottopancia ai riscontri anteriori
raggiungendo al massimo gli stessi
buchi dei riscontri posteriori. Nel caso
in cui i riscontri anteriori risultino troppo allentati, non è un
problema: essi si tenderanno da soli
cavalcando.
L’ulteriore fissaggio (se necessario) del
sottopancia si ottiene allo stesso modo
solo attraverso i riscontri posteriori.
Anche in questo caso i riscontri
anteriori vengono tesi successivamente
e solo per “adeguamento”.
Si devono utilizzare solo sottosella
anatomicamente sagomati (lungo la
schiena del cavallo). Ogni altro genere
di sottosella di forma non anatomica si
muove sotto la sella stropicciandosi.

Die Benutzung des Iceland D1 ist

normalen sätteln:

Wenn der Sattel ungegurtet auf dem
Pferderücken liegt wippt und wackelt
er deutlich. In diesem speziellen Fall
bedeutet das nicht dass der Sattel
nicht passt.
Drei Dinge sind zu beachten:
Das Angurten erfolgt nur mit der
hinteren Strippe, d.h. auf der
rechten Seite wird der Gurt z.B. mit
beiden Strippen auf Loch 3 gegurtet,
dann wird der Gurt auf der linken
Seite mit der hinteren Gurtstrippe
normal festgegurtet. Sollte das Pferd
unruhig stehen und der Sattel sich
nach hinter schieben, muss dieses
durch einen leichten Schub nach
vorne ausgeglichen werden. Zuletzt
wird dann die Vorgurtstrippe maximal
auf die gleiche Lochzahl gegurtet wie
die Hintere. Sollte die Vorgurtstrippe
zu lose erscheinen ist dieses O.K.,
während des reiten strafft sich das von
allein.
Das Nachgurten vom Pferd aus darf
ebenfalls nur durch die hintere
Strippe erfolgen –auch hier wird die
Vorgurtstrippe nur angepasst.
Bitte nur anatomisch geformte
Schabracken benutzen. Alle andere
Schabracken (geradegeschnitten)
verziehen sich unter den Sattel.

communes selles. Cette selle est
vendue avec une ouverture de garrot
nettement plus amples : 2 mesures en
plus par rapport aux selles normales.
Lorsqu’on pose la selle sur le dos du
cheval sans être sanglée, elle bascule
visiblement dans les deux sens :
longitudinal et transversal. Dans le cas
particulier de la Iceland D1 cela ne
signifie pas que la selle ne va pas
bien pour le cheval.
3 choses sont à remarquer :
La Iceland D1 se fixe correctement
uniquement à travers les
contre‑sanglons postérieurs. Partant
du côté droit, on fixe la sangle par
exemple dans le troisième trous sur
les deux contre-sanglons, après cela
la sangle est fixée du côté gauche
avec le contre-sanglon postérieur à
une normale tension. Dans le cas où
le cheval s’énerve et la selle glisse en
arrière, il faut compenser avec une
légère poussée en avant.
Après cela on passe à la fixation de la
sangle aux contre-sanglons antérieurs
en atteignant aux maximum les mêmes
trous des contre-sanglons postérieurs.
Si les contre-sanglons antérieurs
résultent trop détendus, ce n’est pas
un problème : ils se détendent tous
seuls chevauchant.
L’ultérieur fixation (si nécessaire)
de la sangle s’obtient de la même
manière uniquement à travers les
contre‑sanglons postérieurs. Même
dans ce cas là, les contre-sanglons
antérieurs sont tendus successivement
et seulement pour « ajustement ».
Vous devez utiliser uniquement des
chabraques anatomiquement
délinéés (sur le dos du cheval).
Chaque genre de chabraque non
délinéé se bouge sous la selle et se
chiffonne.
Directions
The new Prestige saddle named
Iceland D1 has been developed in
order to ensure the optimum freedom
of movement to the horse’s shoulders.
Thanks to its special panels, this is also
possible on wider horses.
The Iceland D1 has a few special
characteristics, when compared to the
traditional saddles.
This saddle is sold in a tree size which
is 2 sizes wider than the other models.
When a saddle is put on the horse’s
back, before it is fixed to the girth, it
rocks strikingly both longitudinally and
transversely. As far as the Iceland D1
saddle is concerned, this does not
mean that the saddle doesn’t fit the
horse properly.
3 things to keep in mind:
The Iceland D1 can be properly fixed
only through the back girth straps.
Starting from the right side, the girth
shall be fixed for example at the third
hole on both the girth straps. Then, on
the left side, the girth has to be fixed
to the back girth strap by keeping
this strap at a normal tension. If the
horse is nervous and the saddle slides
backwards, it will be necessary to push
the saddle slightly forward.
Once fixed to the left back girth strap,
the saddle must be fixed also to the left
front girth strap. In any case, the girth
must be fixed not higher than on the
same hole as on the back girth strap.
This means that if the girth has been
fixed to the third hole of the back girth
strap, it cannot be fixed higher than on
the third hole even on the front one.
Please note that it is not a problem, if
the front girth straps are too loose: they
will tighten automatically while riding.
Whether the girth needs to be fixed
further to the saddle, this shall be done
again only through the back girth
straps. In this case too, the front girth
straps shall be tightened only later on
and accordingly to the tension of the
back girth straps.
The Iceland D1 can be used only with
saddle pads that are anatomically
shaped on the horse’s back. Non
shaped saddle pads will move under
the saddle, while riding, and they can
bind up under the saddle causing
discomfort to the horse.

seat enables the reader to remain
properly positioned both during flat
work and, by shortening the stirrup
length, when also performing small
jumps. The seat and the knee pads
are in high-quality calfskin that has
been double tanned and oiled for
improved grip and comfort. The
blocks are anatomically shaped
(banana-shaped blocks). There have
been extensive changes to the lower
part of the saddle. The new padded
panels are of the latest generation and

The saddle features a deep seat with
a rounded cantle. Double padding in
the seat and on the skirts guarantees
the riders comfort. Seat and skirts,
as well as the knee pads, are now
produced in our high quality double
oiled calfskin for better grip and
comfort.The blocks are anatomically
shaped (bananashaped blocks). The
padded panels have been completely
re-designed and now adapt better to
different horse conformations.
