At the heart of innovation: strategic partnership between the SICHH
and the University of Neuchâtel
The Swiss Integrative Center for Human Health (SICHH) is proud to announce a partnership with the
University of Neuchâtel (UniNE), which possesses specialized scientific research skills in fields such as
chemistry and biology. Accessing these specialized skills and expertise is key to the functioning of this
center (SICHH) launched by the Fribourg University (UniFR) in 2013, whose core mission is to catalyze
R&D projects. In parallel the SICHH gives UniNE’s researchers access to its high-tech infrastructure for
fundamental research.
UniNe becomes SICHH’s new partner together with UNIFR, Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics (SIB),
Centre Suisse d’Electronique et de Microtechnique (CSEM), Agroscope, Ecole d’ingénieurs et
d’architectes de Fribourg (EIA-FR), Haute Ecole Spécialisée de Suisse Occidentale du canton du Valais
(HES-SO Valais), Cardiocentro Ticino associated with the University of Zurich (UZH) and its
Foundation for Cardiological Research and Education (FCRE) as well as Ecole d’art et de
communication de Fribourg (eikonEMF).
The mission of SICHH is to offer its customers a service of an academic excellence together with an
industrial execution, which will boost innovation. The SICHH is composed of high-tech platforms
giving access to specialized expertise and leading edge equipments in fields related to human health.
As an integral part of this new center, the SICHH Forum brings together academic and industrial
professionals to discuss and come up with innovative ideas. The Project Management Center
reinforces the services offered by enabling the management and coordination of R&D projects.
All innovations emerge from scientific know-how which results from a close collaboration between
researchers from the public and private sector, a process in which the UniNE will take part and
benefit from now on. In this framework, the SICHH spans solutions to tackle the development of new
technologies and their strategic partnership brings an added value to its services within the
management of transversal projects. As formally announced by blueFACTORY Fribourg-Freiburg (BFF
SA), the SICHH will inaugurate its platforms in summer 2015.

Au cœur de l’innovation, partenariat stratégique entre le SICHH et
l’Université de Neuchâtel
Le Swiss Integrative Center for Human Health (SICHH) annonce un partenariat avec l’Université de
Neuchâtel (UniNE) qui dispose de compétences innovatrices en matière de recherche scientifique,
notamment en chimie et biologie. L’accès à l’ensemble de ces expertises est essentiel pour conduire
la mission de ce nouveau centre (SICHH), catalyseur de projets R&D, créé en 2013 par l’Université de
Fribourg (UNIFR). Parallèlement, le SICHH met ses infrastructures à disposition des chercheurs pour
la recherche fondamentale.
L’UniNE rejoint un réseau de partenaires académiques comprenant l’UNIFR, le Swiss Institute of
Bioinformatics (SIB), le Centre Suisse d’Electronique et de Microtechnique (CSEM), l’Agroscope,
l’Ecole d’ingénieurs et d’architectes de Fribourg (EIA-FR), la Haute Ecole Spécialisée de Suisse
Occidentale du canton du Valais (HES-SO Valais), le Cardiocentro Ticino rattaché à l’Université de
Zurich (UZH) et sa Foundation for Cardiological Research and Education (FCRE) ainsi que l’Ecole d’art
et de communication de Fribourg (eikonEMF).
La mission du SICHH est d’offrir à des clients du secteur public et privé, des services d’excellence
académique avec une exécution industrielle afin de catalyser l’innovation. Le SICHH s’articule autour
de plateformes high-tech et donne accès à des spécialistes hautement qualifiés ainsi qu’à du matériel
de pointe dans des domaines liés à la santé humaine. Le centre s’est doté du SICHH Forum réunissant
des professionnels académiques et industriels afin de favoriser l’émergence d’idées innovantes. Le
Project Management Center (PMC) vient renforcer l’offre en permettant la gestion et la coordination
des projets R&D.
Toute innovation s’appuie sur une expertise scientifique résultant de l’étroite collaboration entre
chercheurs de structures publiques et privées, un processus auquel contribuera désormais
l’Université de Neuchâtel. Dans ce cadre de travail, le SICHH amène une réponse concrète afin de
gérer la complexité du développement des technologies. Le SICHH, en étroite collaboration avec son
réseau étendu de partenaires, apporte une plus-value dans la gestion de projets d’innovation
transversaux. Durant l’été 2015, le SICHH inaugurera ses nouvelles plateformes au sein du parc
technologique blueFACTORY Fribourg-Freiburg (BFF SA), conformément à l’annonce officielle qui
en a été faite par la direction BFF SA.

Im Herzen der Innovation, strategische Partnerschaft zwischen dem
SICHH und der Universität Neuchâtel
Das Swiss Integrative Center für Human Health (SICHH) informiert über die Partnerschaft mit der
Universität Neuchâtel (UniNE), welche über innovative Kompetenzen in wissenschaftlicher
Forschung, insbesondere in den Bereichen Chemie und Biologie, verfügt. Der Zugang zur Gesamtheit
dieser Kompetenzen ist essentiell für die Mission dieses neuen Zentrums (SICHH), welches F&E
Projekten katalysiert und 2013 von der Universität Freiburg (UNIFR) gegründet wurde. Parallel dazu
stellt das SICHH Forschenden seine Infrastrukturen zur Grundlagenforschung zur Verfügung.
UniNE schließt sich einem Netzwerk aus akademischen Partnern, welchem die UNIFR, das Swiss
Institute of Bioinformatics (SIB) , das Centre Suisse d’Electronique et de Microtechnique (CSEM), das

Die Mission des SICHH ist es, seinen Klienten aus Forschung und Industrie, seine Services mit
akademischer Exzellenz und industrieller Qualität anzubieten um Innovation zu katalysieren. Das
SICHH setzt sich aus High-Tech Plattformen zusammen und ermöglicht den Zugang zu hochqualifizierten Spezialisten und zu neuesten Maschinen in den Domänen der menschlichen
Gesundheit. Das Zentrum ist mit dem SICHH Forum ausgestattet welches Forschende und Industrielle
zusammenbringt um die Entstehung innovativer Ideen zu fördern. Das PMC ermöglicht das
Management und die Koordination von F&E Projekten und unterstützt dadurch das Angebot des
SICHH.
Jede Innovation stützt sich auf wissenschaftliche Expertise, die aus einer direkten Kollaboration
zwischen Forschern öffentlicher und privater Einrichtungen resultiert. Von nun an trägt die
Universität Neuchâtel zu diesem Prozess bei. In diesem Zusammenhang bietet das SICHH eine
konkrete Antwort um die Komplexität der Entwicklung von neuen Technologien zu managen. Das
SICHH, in enger Zusammenarbeit mit seinem weitgefächerten Netzwerk von Partnern, bringt einen
Mehrwert für das Management von innovativen transversalen Projekten. Im Sommer 2015, gemäß
der offiziellen Ankündigung der Direktion der blueFACTORY SA, wird das SICHH seine neuen
Plattformen, gelegen im Technologiepark blueFACTORY Fribourg-Freiburg (BFF SA), inaugurieren.

specialmente in chimica e biologia. L’accesso all’insieme di queste competenze è essenziale per
eseguire la missione di questo nuovo centro (SICHH), catalizzatore di progetti di ricerca e sviluppo,
creato nel 2013 dall’Università di Friborgo (UNIFR). Parallelamente, il SICHH mette a disposizione dei
ricercatori dell’Università di Neuchâtel delle infrastrutture per la ricerca fondamentale.
L’Università di Neuchâtel si associa al network di partners accademici comprendenti l’UNIFR, il
Cardiocentro Ticino associato dell'Università di Zurigo (UZH) e la Foundation for Cardiological

Al fine di catalizzare l’innovazione, il SICCH offre dei servizi d’eccellenza accademica con
un’esecuzione industriale, ai clienti del settore pubblico e privato. Questo nuovo centro di
competenze si articola attorno alle piattaforme high-tech e permette l’accesso ai suoi specialisti
altamente qualificati e a strumenti di ultima generazione connessi alla tematica della salute umana. Il
centro si è dotato del SICHH Forum che permette di riunire dei professionisti accademici e industriali
per favorire l’emergenza di nuove idee. Il Project Management Center (PMC) completa l’offerta,
permettendo una gestione e una coordinazione dei progetti di ricerca e sviluppo.
L’innovazione è resa possibile grazie alla perizia scientifica, risultante dalla collaborazione tra
ricercatori delle strutture pubbliche e private: un processo al quale contribuirà d’ora innanzi anche
l’Università di Neuchâtel. In questo contesto, il SICHH, propone una risposta concreta al fine di
gestire la complessità dello sviluppo delle tecnologie. Il SICHH, in stretta collaborazione con il suo
esteso network di partners, propone un valore aggiunto nella gestione di progetti pluridisciplinari.
Durante l’estate 2015, il SICHH inaugurerà le sue nuove piattaforme nel parco tecnologico di
Friborgo, la blueFACTORY Fribourg-Freiburg (BFF SA) conformemente all’annuncio ufficiale emesso
dalla direzione BFF SA.
