STS – Standard Tubeless Systems: the latest technology established
WHAT? What is the Standard Tubeless system aka STS-System?
STS is a patent based on the application of a SPECIAL NIPPLE
By choosing STS you can continue to use:
• The same hubs (the original ones)
• The same rims (ANY BRAND BUT SPECIALLY DRILLED according to ALPINA RAGGI specifications and TOLERANCES)
• The same spokes
• The same tack, assembly and centering equipment
This requires no economic investments of any kind, not even for MoT revisions
No need to change suppliers
The NIPPLE is the only VARIATION compared to THE STANDARDS of construction

HOW DOES THE STS KIT WORK?
It is a special nipple (STS) provided with a seal that completely secures
the natural gap existing between the hole of the rim and the nipple itself
The weight saving is about 1.5 kg per pair of wheels.

HOW DOES THE STS KIT WORK?
The STS system involves the use of a special nipple (STS) provided with a seal that completely
closes up the natural gap existing between the hole of the rim and the nipple itself.
This system is successful since its application does not imply any substantial changes in the wheel,
that will conceptually and structurally remain identical to the standard fitting, in fact the original
hub is kept as it is. Variations with the kit: spoke length - special STS nipple - rim hole of size
appropriate to the diameter of the STS nipple
Frontiers of Use
The horizons of the STS system are manifold, the first environment in which the STS
system made its debut was with SUPERMOTO (World and Italian Championship 2007) and
MOTOCROSS. Its applications are also valid for the ENDURO & ALLROAD area.
