Due artisti a confronto che si presentano per la prima volta in Brera, a Milano, con l’intento di raccontarci il loro modo di vedere il mondo, di percepirlo, secondo un “sentire” molto originale, ricco di
spunti attualissimi, di viaggi onirici, di sensazioni ma volutamente privo di quella leziosità pleonastica
che troppo spesso c’è mediaticamente mostrata…giorno dopo giorno.
La società nella quale “alberghiamo” momentaneamente è indubbiamente globalizzata, fuorviante,
spesso amorale e priva di principi sani - e in tal senso non sto facendo alcun riferimento alla “morale”
intesa come filosofia spicciola -.
Stanchi di quest’attitudine così dilagante, Marco Cannataro e Alberto Fabris, ci concedono uno spazio / tempo di libertà intellettuale sinceri e vivificanti che sono attinenti ai loro differenti mondi interiori,
seppur sensibili e veri.
Galleria STATUTO13 raccoglie, ancora una volta, il guanto di sfida, cercando di presentare due artisti
innovativi a ridosso del periodo del Fuori Salone a Milano, dove la design-art fa da collante tra due
mondi che troppo spesso erano diversi (quello dell’arte e quello del design appunto, ndr) ma, che a
oggi creino una nuova tendenza che è nata proprio nella nostra città.
ONEIRISM AND SUSTAINABILITY
Two artists in comparison presenting for the first time in Brera, in Milan, with the intent to tell us how
they see the world, to perceive it, according to a “feel” very original, full of ideas The most modern,
travel dream , sensations but intentionally devoid of the superfluous affectation that too often the
media is shown ... day after day.
The society in which “we house” moment is undoubtedly globalized, misleading, often amoral and
unprincipled healthy - and in that sense I am not making any reference to the “moral” understood as
petty philosophy -.
Tired of this attitude so rampant, Cannataro Marco and Alberto Fabris, allow us a space / time of
intellectual freedom and sincere life-giving that are relevant to their different inner worlds, although
sensitive and real.
Gallery bylaws13 collects, once again, the gauntlet, trying to present two innovative artists close to
the period of the Fuori Salone in Milan, where the design-art is the glue between two worlds that too
often were different (that of art and that of design precisely, ed), but which today create a new trend
that is born in our city.

Alberto Fabris was born in the music and approaches to drawing as a child, as a self-taught. Loves
pastels on paper but also experiences the oil on canvas, collage; only to discover the technique of
drawing on iPad with the program Procreate allowing him thus to invent and express themselves
creatively during his long business trips abroad.
Observes the great artists of the historical avant-garde such as Paul Klee, Henri Matisse, Andy
Warhol and Joan Miro that will give him his first inspiration.
Another reason for his inspiration is definitely provided by the passion for the graphic of the covers of
vinyl records, and in 2002 the well-known musician Ludovico Einaudi - with which works around the
world - shows the work of David Hockney (known contemporary painter of Pop Art Anglo-Saxon) that
will be the source of his third and impressive creative inspiration.
His works on display in Gallery bylaws13 are the result of potential contamination had perceptions,
fantasies and surreal from the translation of images seen in his frequent trips.
If “process uses” the recipe with the conception of ironic titles, we will notice an equation that will
result Alberto Fabris 360 °.
Marco Cannataro has artistic education and vocational training design on a large scale. So let’s add
a great sensitivity, also amplified by a deep crisis period introspective, then followed by a renaissance
also creative. A set of deep and obvious positive effects for the study and the study of religion and
Buddhist philosophy has been able to mix and inspire that human revolution and artistic at the same
time, fundamental for Marco Cannataro, man and artist.
A lover of nature, sensitive to the issue of ecology and sustainability. Retrieve everyday objects and
materials of plastic waste deforming them - even with the help of heat - and then assembling them
into works of artistic design (is an example the case of his lamps plastic), with the intention of giving
them a new life. The new forms created reminiscent of those that man has “offended” in nature - think
of the images that so impressed the artist: oceans of water where floating true islands / junk, within
which some animals are subjected to a forced symbiosis - using plastic bottles, pet, cleaned and from
private labels. The Totem that arise from these conceptual compositions, through a strong gesture
ready made, typically “Dada”, are the archetypal patterns that from past to present characterize our
consumer society.
Cannataro Marco has always been fascinated by Art Nouveau, Liberty and the art of the last century
and his own artistic challenge consists in recreating some inspirations of those art forms of the past,
but thanks to the use of plastic; contemporary material and not always recyclable. The style for him
should never be connected to classical, minimalist or trivial but be tacitly convey implicit messages
and use of original materials that, if relocated in a contemporary context, are imbued with philanthropic goals.
The Art of the rest can and often should be a medium that knows how to convey a useful conceptual
and in step with the times.

Alberto Fabris nasce nell’ambito della musica e si accosta al disegno sin da bambino, come autodidatta. Ama i pastelli su cartoncino ma sperimenta anche l’olio su tela, il collage; per poi scoprire la
tecnica del disegno su IPad con il programma Procreate che gli permette in tal modo di inventare ed
esprimersi creativamente anche durante i suoi lunghi soggiorni di lavoro all’estero.
Osserva i grandi artisti delle avanguardie storiche come Paul Klee, Henri Matisse, Andy Warhol e
Joan Mirò che sapranno dargli la sua prima ispirazione.
Altro motivo di sua ispirazione è sicuramente fornito dalla passione per le grafiche delle copertine dei
dischi in vinile e nel 2002 il noto musicista Ludovico Einaudi - col quale lavora in giro per il mondo
- gli mostra i lavori di David Hockney (noto pittore contemporaneo della Pop Art anglosassone) che
saranno la fonte della sua terza e imponente ispirazione creativa.
I suoi lavori esposti in Galleria STATUTO13 sono il frutto di potenziali contaminazioni avute dalle
percezioni, da fantasie surreali e dalla traduzione d’immagini viste nei suoi frequenti viaggi.
Se “condiamo” la ricetta con l’ideazione di titoli ironici, noteremo un’equazione che come risultato
darà Alberto Fabris a 360°.
Marco Cannataro ha un’istruzione artistica e una formazione professionale di design su larga scala.
Aggiungiamo dunque una grande sensibilità, amplificata anche da un profondo periodo di crisi introspettiva, poi seguita da una vera rinascita anche creativa. Un insieme di profondi ed evidenti effetti
positivi per lo studio e l’approfondimento della religione e della filosofia buddista ha saputo miscelare
e ispirare quella rivoluzione umana e artistica al contempo, fondamentali per Marco Cannataro, uomo
e artista.
Amante della natura, sensibile verso il tema dell’ecologia e dell’ecosostenibilità. Recupera gli oggetti
del quotidiano e i materiali dei rifiuti plastici deformandoli - anche con l’ausilio del calore - e poi assemblandoli in opere di design artistico (ne è un esempio il caso delle sue lampade plastificate), con
l’intento di dare loro una nuova vita. Le nuove forme create ricordano quelle che l’uomo ha “offeso” in
natura - si pensi alle immagini che tanto hanno colpito l’artista: oceani d’acqua dove galleggiano vere
e proprie isole/spazzatura, all’interno delle quali alcuni animali sono sottoposti a una forzata simbiosi
- utilizzando bottiglie di plastica, pet, ripulite e private dalle etichette. I Totem che nascono da queste
composizioni concettuali, tramite un forte gesto ready made, tipicamente “Dada”, sono dei modelli
archetipici che dal passato al presente caratterizzano la nostra società del consumo.
Marco Cannataro ha sempre subito il fascino dell’Art Nouveau, del Liberty e dell’arte del secolo
scorso e la sua sfida artistica consta proprio nel ricreare alcune ispirazioni di quelle forme d’arte del
passato ma grazie all’utilizzo della plastica; materiale contemporaneo e non sempre riciclabile. Gli
stilemi per lui non devono mai essere collegabili alla classicità, al minimalismo o al banale ma essere
tacitamente portatori d’impliciti messaggi e di utilizzo di materiali originali che, se ricollocati in un
contesto odierno, siano intrisi di obiettivi filantropici.
L’Arte del resto può e spesso deve essere un mezzo espressivo che sappia veicolare una concettualità utile e al passo con i tempi.
