60 Years from the Treaty of
Rome: Imagining the Future
This International Conference is the final event of the Jean Monnet Chair “Citizen Beyond Lisbon” (Cibelis). The
upcoming 60th Anniversary of the signature of the Treaty of Rome requires, above and beyond celebrations, a deep
reflection on the current problems and the future perspectives of the European Union. Distinguished academics will be
invited to intervene. The afternoon session will investigate the role that Italy can play in facing the challenges of the EU
integration process.
