28.09 – 03.10: la settimana dedicata ai fiori e ai nonni!
Dal 28 Settembre al 3 Ottobre il padiglione olandese sarà teatro per un’intera settimana di uno
dei simboli chiave dell’Olanda e che peraltro rappresenta l’energia per la vita, grande tema
dell’Expo: i fiori!
La campionessa olandese di floral design Dini Holtrop, (artefice delle ali fiorite donate al
padiglione della Santa Sede in occasione dell’iniziativa dello scambio di doni tra i padiglioni)
insieme al suo team internazionale di esperti fioristi, curerà l’allestimento del padiglione
Olanda, Paese dei fiori per eccellenza e terrà una serie di dimostrazioni di arte floreale nel
corso della settimana.
All’interno di questa iniziativa si svolgeranno inoltre attività legate alla Festa dei Nonni che si
festeggerà all’interno del Padiglione Venerdì 2 Ottobre con musica e laboratori per bambini
con fiori e piante; il progetto si colloca perfettamente in questa cornice grazie al legame che
fiori e piante sono in grado di creare tra le diverse generazioni.
A conclusione di questa settimana ricca di fiori e colori, nella serata di Sabato 3 Ottobre
sarà ospite il grande campione Clarence Seedorf, a cui l’Olanda ha deciso di dedicare una
rosa che porterà il suo nome per i suoi meriti sportivi ed extra sportivi. Il battesimo della nuova
varietà di rosa prodotta dall’ibridatore Dummen Orange e ispirata ai colori dell’Olanda si terrà
presso la serra del Padiglione ore 20.00.
La settimana dei fiori nel padiglione olandese al World Expo è possibile grazie al sostegno dell'
Associazione olandese dei grossisti di fiori e piante ( VGB ) , loro membri partecipanti, la
Felinifoundation, Westlandmarketing e worldexpomilaan2015.

28.09 - 03.10: the week dedicated to flowers and
grandparents!
From September 28 to October 3, the Dutch pavilion will be the scene for the full week of one
of the key symbols of the Netherlands and which also represents the energy for life, the great
theme of the Expo: the flowers!
The Dutch champion of floral design Dini Holtrop ( author also of the flowered wings donated
to the pavilion of the Holy See in occasion of the initiative
exchange gifts between the
pavilions) and her international team of expert florists, will take care of the construction of the
Holland pavilion, Country of flowers for excellence, and will hold a series of demonstrations of
floral art during the week.
Within this initiative will take place also activities related to Grandparents Day that will be
celebrated in the Pavilion Friday October 2 with music and workshops for children with plants;
the project fits perfectly in this setting, thanks to the bond that flowers and plants are able to
create between the different generations.
This week full of flowers and colors will culminate Saturday night October 3 hosting the
famous champion Clarence Seedorf, to whom Holland has decided to dedicate a new rose
rewarding his commitment to sport and social inclusion. The baptism of the new Rose variety,
produced by hybridizer Dummen Orange and inspired by the colors of Holland, will be held in
the pavilion's glasshouse 20.00 hours.
The flower week in the Dutch pavilion at the World Expo is possible thanks to support of the
