BASALTO
AQ01 BASALTO
This volcanic rock is formed by the rapid
cooling lava being washed by the lapping
shores of the ocean. Thus solidifying time at
the moment of its emergence onto the surface
of our world.
MEDUSA
AQ02 MEDUSA
The Gorgon monster Medusa, was said to have
been slain by Perseus. As he laid the petrifying
head beside the shore, Medusa’s blood spilled
onto the seaweed, creating the corals that are
of the Red Sea.
VENUS
AQ03 VENUS
The goddess of physical and intellectual love,
Venus was born of the sea. Arriving to shore
by a seashell have come to symbolize the
awakening and deliverance of the feminine
psyche.
LUNA
AQ04 LUNA
The goddess Luna is the divine embodiment
of the moon. Her forces pulls on our oceans,
giving us tides that shapes our shores each
and every day.
GLAUCUS
AQ06 GLAUCUS
Born a mortal fisherman, Glaucus ate a
magical herb and achieved immortality; thus
transforming him into a merman, where he will
spend the rest of eternity in the sea. Stranded
seafarers have said to have been rescued by
the hand of Glaucus.
MAREA
AQ05 MAREA
Opposing shores are subsequently washed by
the same tide. High for one and low for the
other. The sand marks its passage, as we wait
for its return.
OURANOS
AQ07 OURANOS
Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and love,
was said to be born of sea foam, inseminated
by Ouranos. He ruled the night sky, proving out
of darkness love and beauty can be born.
ASTROLABIO
AQ08 ASTROLABIO
Literally meaning ‘taking in the stars’, the
astrolabe have guided sailors at night in
an otherwise vast directionless ocean of
darkness. The stars above have long showed
us how to navigate our oceans and even our
lives.
ANTHEMUSA
AQ09 ANTHEMUSA
The island home of the Sirens, these mermaid
creatures lure sailors, usually to their death,
by navigating too close to the dangerous
coastline. Their beauty was undeniable and at
times irresistible.
STRATA
AQ10 STRATA
Inner layers revealed through centuries of tidal
caresses. Rock, sentiment, or drifting wood
reveal an ulterior beauty, one of time washed
by distant waters.
NAIAD
AQ11 NAIAD
Nymphs of springs and rivers, these creatures
are known to be playful and at times with a
seductive yet dangerous beauty. They are
possessive and jealous by nature.
GHIACCIO

AQ13 GHIACCIO
Ice is but one state of water; solid and
crystalline in form and appearance. Prism-like,
it captures light only to release again with a
sparkle.
ANEMONE
AQ16 ANEMONE
Named after their earthly counterparts, these
creatures of beauty are decisively predacious.
Petal-like tentacle carried by the reef current
lures small prey in. Its beauty proves eternal,
as some of the earliest fossils are that of the
Anemone.
