Synopsis: Fourteen-year-old Mattie Rossís (Hailee Steinfeld) father has
been shot in cold blood by the coward Tom Chaney (Josh Brolin), and she
is determined to bring him to justice. Enlisting the help of a triggerhappy, drunken U.S. Marshal, Rooster Cogburn (Jeff Bridges), she sets out
with him ó over his objections ó to hunt down Chaney. Her fatherís blood
demands that she pursue the criminal into Indian territory and find him
before a Texas Ranger named LaBoeuf (Matt Damon) catches him and brings
him back to Texas for the murder of another man.

Spencer Tunick
Spencer Tunick (Middletown, 1º gennaio 1967) è
un fotografo statunitense. Ottenuto il Bachelor
of Arts nel 1988, Tunick
cominciò a fotografare
nudi nelle vie di New
York nel 1992. Infatti è
molto conosciuto per le
sue fotografie che ritraggono persone nude,
principalmente in contesti urbani. Dopo aver
realizzato alcune foto
in altri paesi degli Stati Uniti, nell’ambito di
un progetto che prese il
nome di ‘Nakad States’,
ha operato a Londra, Lione, Melbourne, Montreal, Caracas, Santiago,
Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Sydney, Newcastle,
Roma e Vienna. I modelli
da lui utilizzati sono
dei volontari. Tunick
ha spesso suscitato dibattiti e interrogativi
per la natura della sua
opera, che molti definiscono una semplice ‘manifestazione
sociale’,
a sostegno della libertà di espressione. Dalle
sue immagini scaturisce
una tensione e una riflessione sui concetti di
pubblico e privato, individuale e collettivo.
Spencer
Tunick
(born
January 1, 1967) is an
American artist. He is
best known for his installations that feature large numbers of nude
people posed in artistic
formations. Tunick was
born in the United States in Middletown, Orange County, New York. In
1992, Tunick began documenting live nudes in
public locations in New
York through video and
photographs. His early
works from this period
focus more on a single nude individual or
on small groups of nudes. Male and female volunteers of different
ages stood and saluted,
lay down on the ground,
crouched in the fetal
position, and otherwise
posed for Tunick’s lens
in the city’s massive
central plaza, the Plaza de la Constitución.
Here, the specific problems of photographing
great numbers of people
outside became clear: as
Tunick could only shoot
from buildings located
west of the square (the
three other sides of the
square are government
buildings and the cathedral), there was a rush to
take the pictures before dawn to avoid getting
sunflare in the lens.
