Interview to Gabriele Azzi
IBS Yacht Service, a company in charge of managing the shipyard and ordinary
maintenance of the Rodi Garganico Marina.
Dott Azzi, the arrival of your team to Rodi arose great interest among our
customers and fans in this field; can you tell us about the IBS group?
Ibs Group has been operating in the yachting market for over ten years and
today includes many companies specialized in offering services such as:
brokerage of new and second-hand boats, charters and general nautical
services, technical assistance, crew research, retrieval and booking of berths.
We have four commercial offices, strategically located where yachting is
developed to a greater extent, which means in Santa Margherita Ligure in
Liguria, in Porto Rotondo in Sardegna, where the company was founded, and
in Porto Cervo, in order to respond in the most appropriate way to the needs
of yachters with boats of large dimensions. The most recent investment is the
IBS Yachting Point logistics centre in Cagliari. A showroom in Olbia will be
opening shortly and is destined to become the company’s headquarters. As
far as our dealership activity is concerned, IBS Group is exclusive importer
of the brands Viking Yachts, Tiara Yachts, Pursuit Fishing Boats, Riviera
Marine and Warren Yachts; we are also exclusive concessionaires in Sardegna
of Cantieri di Sarnico and Cigarette. All this comes close to the activity of IBS
Services, born as a centre of assistance to effectively meet even the more
complicated needs of its own solid customer portfolio and the activity of Given
for Yachting, skilled in offering administrative services and charters of any
dimension or type. IBS Group just landed also in China, for the diffusion of
yachts produced by Cantieri di Sarnico, Tiara and Viking, which have
entrusted us with such a delicate task in this emerging market of potentially
wide dimensions; we have also become agents in Europe of the new brand
IAG Yachts. I can therefore state that, to be abreast with times, our company
constantly invests in structures, staff and professional qualification and in
this sense the new Rodi Marina carries out a very important function.
Can you tell us how this important collaboration with the Rodi Garganico
Marina was born and what impression you had once you arrived to the region
for the first time? For a long time IBS has been searching for new synergies in
Mediterranean areas of nautical tourism which were still “virgin”. As soon
as I found out about the new Rodi Garganico Port we immediately contacted
the building firm to learn more about the details of the operation and we
immediately realized that this enterprise would have been successful if
established in a strategic area of the Adriatic. It’s very important to highlight
the enthusiasm of friend Domenico D’Amato, well-known entrepreneur in
tourism in the Gargano area that immediately made us fall in love with the
project and which will be our partner in the course of this important adventure,
working side by side with us in the initiative.
Which are the other Marinas you are in charge of in Italy and, within your
strategic choices, what importance is given to a destination which is now emerging
in the Mediterranean nautical environment such as the Gargano? IBS has been
managing for the past three years an important berth for big yachts in the
centre of Cagliari. We owe the creation of this Yachting Point to the local port
authorities and to the trust they have granted our Company; we are especially
proud for having brought to the centre of Cagliari a berth for important crafts
and pleasure boats. Besides this we have recently taken over the entire
management of the new Olbia Marina, a berthing for 230 boats, very close
to the airport, in a strategic position for ships, especially charters in Northern
Sardegna. The new initiative of Rodi Garganico will help the navigation in the
southern Adriatic grow by promoting an expansion that will bring benefits
directly and indirectly to the entire region.
In virtue of your remarkable experience, our readers are interested in learning
your technical opinion of our Marina. What can you tell us on this matter?
At a first glance the Rodi Garganico Marina is built in an intelligent and
practical way, from the consumers’ point of view. Our technical analysis finds
it perfectly in line with its goal and I am convinced that many of our guests
will be pleased with the opportunities offered by this new base.
How will this shipyard be equipped? With the help of technicians of the IMPRESA
CIDONIO, we are literally analysing the tools and necessary means for the
proper functioning of the service inside the Marina. High importance will be
given to the local training of technical personnel which, by turns, will do a course
of vocational training and technical stages in our offices in order to guarantee
high standards which have been offered by IBS Group from the very start.
When will you be concretely operative with all services? And in which way do
you think you will characterize your offer as to other structures managed by
your Group? I can confirm that we will be totally operative the day of the
inauguration of the Marina, all will be prepared in due time in order for it
to be functional from day one. It would be extremely useful for our readers
to know, from your point of view, why a yacht owner should choose Rodi
Marina rather than other destinations in Italy and abroad. Besides local
yachters that will use the Marina for practical reasons, other consumers
in my opinion, will be attracted by the strategic position of Rodi Garganico
in the Adriatic, by the proximity of the Tremiti islands and Croatia and by
the beauty of the coast and the nature of the area. Besides all this the Rodi
Marina must become a point of excellence for the quality of port and yard
managements we are in charge of.
Some of our clients have bought a berth but still do not have a yacht and others
have one but would like a bigger one. These are the results of a recent survey
carried out by us, well, how do you intend to satisfy this need, keeping in mind
that you are a dealer of very important brands? The promotion of high quality
yachting is IBS’ company “mission”. We are proud to sell new units of
prestigious brands and high quality second-hand units. The company’s
viewpoint is to reserve to it’s clientele a secure craft, reliable, that does
not depreciate commercially and that gives the yacht owner all the
satisfaction he expects, be it a 7 meter boat to go in-shore fishing or a 20
meter holiday cruiser. In these years we have learned that in order to grow
we need to bring the passion for the sea to life, this is the reason why we
plan on bringing new and second-hand crafts with an IBS guarantee to
Rodi, for all needs and budgets.
Amongst its jewels, IBS boasts a high-level organization of yachting events,
including the Big Game in Porto Rotondo. Can you anticipate your plans for
the 2009 season in Rodi Garganico? From the first year it has been our desire
to attract customers and friends with a small Fishing Club and fishing
courses dedicated to the lovers of this beautiful sport. We will surely
present new models of yards which we represent in Italy and in a short
period of time we will bring a yachting event of national prestige to Rodi,
which will reveal the tourist potentials of this harbour and of the entire
area of Gargano. We will release a calendar as soon as possible.

Dott Azzi, l’arrivo del suo gruppo a Rodi ha generato tra
i nostri clienti e tra tutti gli appassionati del settore un
grande interesse, ci può parlare del gruppo IBS?
L’Ibs Group opera nel mercato del diporto nautico da oltre
dieci anni e ad oggi racchiude in sé più aziende specializzate

Le nostri sedi commerciali sono quattro, strategicamente
posizionate, laddove il diporto nautico è maggiormente
sviluppato, ovvero in Liguria a Santa Margherita Ligure, in
Costa Smeralda a Porto Rotondo, dove l’azienda è stata
fondata ed a Porto Cervo, al fine di rispondere nella maniera
più appropriata alle esigenze dei diportisti con yacht di
grandi dimensioni. L’investimento più recente è la base
logistica IBS Yachting Point di Cagliari. Prossima è l’apertura
dello Show Room di Olbia, destinato a diventare la sede
principale dell’azienda. Per quel che concerne la nostra
attività di dealership, IBS Group si occupa in esclusiva
dell’importazione dei brand Viking Yachts, Tiara Yachts,
Pursuit Fishing Boats, Riviera Marine e Warren Yachts;
siamo inoltre concessionari esclusivi per la Sardegna di
Cantieri di Sarnico e Cigarette. A tutto questo si accosta
l’attività di IBS Servizi, nato come centro di assistenza per
fronteggiare con efficacia anche le richieste più complesse
del proprio nutrito portafoglio clienti e l’attività dell’azienda
Given for Yachting, specializzata nell’offerta di servizi
amministrativi e charter di imbarcazioni di qualsiasi tipo
e dimensione. IBS Group è di recente sbarcata anche in
Cina, per la diffusione nell’area degli yacht prodotti da
Cantieri di Sarnico, Tiara e Viking, che ci hanno affidato
questo delicato incarico in un mercato emergente di
dimensioni potenzialmente vaste; abbiamo inoltre acquisito
la rappresentanza in Europa del nuovo brand IAG Yachts.
Posso perciò affermare che la nostra azienda per stare
al passo con i tempi investe continuamente in strutture,
uomini e qualificazione professionale ed in questo senso
il nuovo Marina di Rodi svolge una funzione molto
importante.
Ci può raccontare come è nata questa importante
collaborazione con il Marina di Rodi Garganico,
e che impressione le ha fatto questo territorio
al suo primo arrivo in zona?
IBS è da tempo alla ricerca di nuove sinergie in aree ancora
“vergini” nel panorama del turismo nautico nel
Mediterraneo. Appena saputo del nuovo porto a Rodi
Garganico ci siamo immediatamente adoperati per
conoscere l’impresa costruttrice ed i dettagli dell’operazione,
abbiamo da subito capito che questa iniziativa avrebbe
riscosso sicuramente un grande successo insediandosi in
un’area strategica dell’Adriatico. E’ fondamentale
sottolineare l’entusiasmo dell’amico Domenico D’Amato,
noto imprenditore turistico del Gargano che ci ha fatto
subito innamorare del progetto, e sarà nostro partner nel
prosieguo di questa importante avventura, partecipando in
prima persona con noi all’iniziativa.
Quali sono gli altri Marina da voi curati in Italia, e
nell’ambito delle vostre scelte strategicheche importanza
attribuite ad una destinazione emergente nel contesto
nautico mediterraneo come il Gargano?
IBS gestisce da tre anni un importante ormeggio per mega
yacht nel centro di Cagliari. La nascita di questo Yachting
Point si deve alla locale autorità portuale ed alla fiducia che
ha voluto accordare alla nostra società; l’aver portato nel
centro della città di Cagliari un ormeggio per imbarcazioni
decisamente importanti e navi da diporto ci ha resi
particolarmente orgogliosi. A ciò si aggiunge la recente
acquisizione della gestione completa del nuovo Marina di
Olbia, un approdo di 230 posti barca, vicinissimo
all’aeroporto, in una posizione strategica per il naviglio,
soprattutto di charter nel Nord Sardegna. La nuova iniziativa
di Rodi Garganico servirà a far crescere la nautica
nell’Adriatico Meridionale, promuovendo un’espansione,
che porterà vantaggi diretti ed indiretti a tutto il territorio.
In virtù della sua notevole esperienza, ai nostri lettori
interessa molto il suo parere tecnico sul nostro Marina.
Cosa può dirci in proposito?
A prima vista il Marina di Rodi Garganico è costruito in
maniera intelligente e soprattutto pratica, dal punto di
vista dell’utenza . La nostra analisi tecnica lo trova
perfettamente conforme allo scopo, e son convinto che
molti dei nostri clienti saranno felici delle opportunità
offerte da questa nuova base .
Come sarà attrezzato il cantiere del Marina di Rodi
Garganico?
Stiamo analizzando proprio in queste settimane, tra l’altro
con l’aiuto dei tecnici della IMPRESA CIDONIO le
attrezzature ed i mezzi necessari al perfetto funzionamento
del “service” all’interno del Marina. Una importanza
basilare sarà data alla formazione del personale tecnico
locale che, a rotazione, effettuerà corsi di formazione
professionale e stage tecnici presso le nostre sedi, per
garantire da subito gli alti standard da sempre offerti dal
gruppo IBS.
Da quando sarete concretamente operativi con tutti i
servizi? Ed in che modo immaginate di caratterizzare
la vostra offerta rispetto ad altre strutture da voi gestite?
Posso affermare che saremo assolutamente operativi dal
giorno dell’inaugurazione del Marina. Tutto sarà
approntato per tempo, affinchè possa funzionare nel modo
migliore fin dall’apertura.
Sarebbe molto utile per i nostri lettori conoscere dal
suo punto di vista le motivazioni per le quali un
armatore a vela ed a motore dovrebbe scegliere il Marina
di Rodi piuttosto che altre destinazioni in Italia o
all'estero?
A parte i diportisti locali, che utilizzeranno il Marina per
una questione di evidente comodità, gli altri utenti saranno,
a mio avviso, soprattutto attratti dalla posizione strategica
di Rodi Garganico sull’Adriatico, dalla vicinanza con le
isole Tremiti e la Croazia e dalla bellezza della costa e
della natura della zona. A parte tutto questo il Marina di
Rodi deve diventare un punto di eccellenza per la qualità
nella gestione del porto e del cantiere a noi affidato .
Alcuni dei nostri clienti hanno acquistato un posto
barca, ma non posseggono ancora una unità da diporto,
altri la posseggono già, ma ne vorrebbero un’altra di
maggiori dimensioni. Questi i risultati di un recente
sondaggio da noi effettuato, ebbene in che modo pensate
di soddisfare questa esigenza, anche tenendo conto che
siete dealer di marchi molto importanti?
IBS ha fatto della promozione della nautica di grande
qualità la propria “mission” aziendale. Siamo orgogliosi
di vendere il nuovo di marchi prestigiosi ed un usato di
grande qualità, l’ottica aziendale è quella di riservare al
cliente un mezzo sicuro, affidabile, che non si svaluti
commercialmente e che dia tutte le soddisfazioni che un
armatore si aspetta, sia che si tratti di un 7 metri per
andare a pescare sotto costa, sia che si tratti di un 20
metri per andare in crociera nel Mediterraneo. In questi
anni abbiamo imparato che per crescere bisogna far
nascere la passione per il mare, per questo porteremo a
Rodi imbarcazioni nuove ed usate con garanzia IBS, per
tutte le esigenze e per ogni tipo di budget.
L’IBS ha tra i suoi fiori all’occhiello l’organizzazione di
eventi nautici di alto livello, tra cui spicca il Big Game
di Porto Rotondo. Ha la possibilità di anticiparci i suoi
programmi per la stagione 2009 a Rodi Garganico?
È nostro desiderio iniziare già dal primo anno ad attirare
clienti ed amici con un piccolo Fishing Club ed una scuola
di pesca, dedicata agli amanti di questo bellissimo sport.
Organizzeremo sicuramente delle presentazioni di nuovi
modelli dei cantieri che rappresentiamo in Italia e
sicuramente entro breve tempo, porteremo a Rodi un
evento nautico di rilevanza nazionale che renda palese a
tutti le potenzialità turistiche di questo porto e dell’intero
territorio garganico. In questo senso diffonderemo un
calendario non appena questo sarà possibile.

Dear Customers and Friends,
After a year from the start of the works of Rodi Garganico
Marina, “THE BOATS VILLAGE” is born: the first magazine
of the Tourist Ports of the Gargano.
It is an important tool of information for the owners of berths,
for all lovers and for those who wish to approach the world
of yachting and the fantastic Gargano area in the
best way possible.
The name “THE BOATS VILLAGE” immediately explains
our way of interpreting the Tourist Port, not only and not
just boat parking but community and propelling centre of a
new way of intending tourism on the sea, in an environment
which constantly offers entertainment and fun, in a less
frenetic and more relaxed dimension, not forgetting the
maximum security and high level assistance.
One of the tasks of our magazine will be to offer opportunities
for in-depth studies of the many topics that rotate around
Rodi Marina, guaranteeing to our readers a constant stream
of news and updates regarding changes and developments
of our activities, which I assure you are
already numerous in our first issue.
Rodi Marina offers the privilege to benefit of a virgin territory,
which extends on over 15.000 acres and contains an
extraordinary variety of 4.000 protected species.
A magical spot where time stands still, where even today it’s
possible to discover new things by just breathing the fresh air
and which most of other resorts have lost.
Lately I have often defined Rodi Marina to be the first “Low
Cost” tourist port, this is because it’s strategic position in the
Southern Adriatic allows you in just a few miles and little
fuel to reach enchanting places to bath o go fishing, with great
benefit not only for the environment.
I wish to thank the many Italian and foreign yacht owners
that have chosen us and it is to them and to the many that
will approach us in the future that I wish to dedicate the
foundation of “THE BOATS VILLAGE”, whose commitment
is to continuously inform on the development of our activities.

Nella realizzazione siamo ormai arrivati al primo giro di boa.
La fase più difficile che prevedeva tutte le opere a mare è
ormai completata, e già da qualche giorno abbiamo iniziato
la costruzione degli edifici del Marina dedicati ai servizi ed
alle attività commerciali.
La tabella di marcia è stata pienamente rispettata, e
nell’interesse degli operatori del territorio siamo riusciti
nell’intento di rendere parzialmente operativo il Marina con
un anno di anticipo.
Difatti abbiamo appena ultimato un tratto di banchina sul
molo di sottoflutto, per consentire alle compagnie armatrici
di offrire il collegamento con le isole Tremiti già nel 2008,
evitando alla Città di Rodi il disagio di interrompere un
servizio che costituisce ormai una tradizione.
Alla intera comunità di Rodi Garganico ed
all’Amministrazione Comunale desidero esprimere il mio
ringraziamento per la pazienza dimostrata nell’affrontare i
disagi legati all’inizio dei lavori, quando le principali vie di
comunicazione sono state invase dal passaggio di decine di
autocarri carichi della preziosa pietra di Apricena destinata
alla realizzazione del molo di sopraflutto.
Non nascondo la mia personale soddisfazione per i risultati

raggiunti in questa prima fase della costruzione, ho avuto
modo di testare direttamente l’efficienza delle opere di
protezione dal moto ondoso anche in condizioni meteo
difficili e questo aspetto per me è in assoluto il più importante,
poiché conferma la correttezza delle scelte costruttive da noi
effettuate e l’efficienza della struttura.
In qualità di rappresentante della IMPRESA PIETRO
CIDONIO spa, posso anticipare che il Marina di Rodi ci
vede protagonisti non solo nella costruzione ma anche nella
gestione in quanto siamo convinti della qualità dell’intervento
della sua funzionalità e della sua posizione strategica.
Il nostro Porto Turistico è forse il primo Marina “bijoux”,
per la giusta dimensione e la qualità dei servizi. Al diportista
vogliamo offrire serenità non solo durante l’estate ma tutto
l’anno ed una assistenza che sarà difficile trovare in altri
Marina, e perché no, considerando il clima particolarmente

THE NEW WATERFRONT OF RODI TAKES SHAPE

In its making we are already at the first turning point. The most
difficult phase which contemplated all the in sea activities has been
completed and we have started building the structures of the Marina
reserved to services and commercial activities.
The work schedule has been entirely fulfilled and, in the interest of
the operators of the area, we have succeeded in the intent to make the
Marina partially effective one year in advance.
In fact we have just finished a part of the molo di sottoflutto in order
to allow the shipping companies to offer the connection with the
Tremiti islands in 2008, sparing the City of Rodi the trouble of
interrupting a service which represents a tradition.
I would like to thank the entire community of Rodi Garganico and
the local government for their patience in dealing with the trouble
linked to the beginning of the construction, when the main
communication routes were invaded by trucks loaded with precious
Apricena stone needed for the making of the pier dock.
I admit my personal satisfaction in obtaining the results in this first
phase of construction, I have had the chance to test directly the efficiency
of the protection dams even in difficult weather conditions and this
aspect is to me the most important because it confirms the correct
fabric choices we made and the structure’s efficiency.
As a representative of IMPRESA PIETRO CIDONIO Company, I
can already tell you that we are stars not only in the construction of
the Rodi Marine but also in its management, because we are convinced
of the quality of the operation, it’s functional character and it’s strategic
location. Our Tourist Port is probably amongst the first “jewels” of
Marina, for its dimensions and the quality of its services. We want
to offer yachters peace not only during summer but all year round
and offer them the assistance which they will not find in other Marinas
and, why not, stimulate the use of boats outside the summer months

nasce “THE BOATS VILLAGE” il primo giornale dei Porti
Turistici del Gargano. Si tratta di un importante strumento di
informazione destinato ai proprietari dei posti barca, a tutti gli
appassionati ed a coloro che desiderano avvicinarsi nel modo
migliore al mondo della nautica ed al fantastico territorio
Garganico. Il nome “THE BOATS VILLAGE”, chiarisce subito
il nostro modo di interpretare il Porto Turistico, non più e non
solo parcheggio di barche, ma comunità e centro propulsivo di
un modo nuovo di fare turismo sul mare, in un contesto che
offra costantemente opportunità di svago e divertimento in una
dimensione meno frenetica e più rilassata, fermo restando il
presupposto della massima sicurezza
e dell’assistenza ad alto livello.
Uno dei compiti del nostro giornale sarà quello di offrire

Il Marina di Rodi offre il privilegio di godere di un territorio
vergine, esteso per oltre 15.000 ettari che racchiude al suo interno
una biodiversità straordinaria con oltre 4.000 specie protette.
Un luogo magico, in cui il tempo si è fermato, dove ancora oggi è
possibile fare delle scoperte respirando un’aria ed un’atmosfera, che
la maggior parte delle località turistiche più note hanno ormai perso.
Mi è capitato spesso ultimamente, di definire il Marina di Rodi come
il primo porto turistico “Low Cost”, questo perché la sua posizione
strategica nell’Adriatico Meridionale, consente di raggiungere con
poche miglia e con un notevole risparmio di carburante, luoghi
incantevoli per fare il bagno o per pescare, con grande giovamento
per l’ambiente e non solo.
Ringrazio i numerosi armatori italiani e stranieri che ci hanno già
scelto, a loro e a quanti decideranno di avvicinarsi a noi, voglio dedicare
la nascita di “THE BOATS VILLAGE”, che manterrà l’impegno
di informarvi con costanza e puntualità su tutte le novità legate allo

What role does a Yachting Club have today?
This is the question that I was asked while carrying out the
construction of Rodi Marina.
In our vision it’s not only a place appointed to accommodate
parties, prize-giving and convivial moments, above all we do
not want these activities to take place only in summer.
Hence the choice of a specialized partner that wanted to invest
in the structure and above all had the possibility to make it
grow, focusing on sport and entertainment.
Match Race Challenge’s answer was a Yachting Club as a
Water Sport Centre, a natural support and fulfilment of high
profile services offered by a modern Marina.
A real Yachting Station, true replica of a structure in America’s
Cup style with “racer” boats that recall the concept of challenge
and services of light sailing with the help of instructors at the
service of the customer, paying attention to hardware solutions
used and racing products of the latest generation.
The format of “Match Race Challenge 007” is only inspired
by the idea of the America’s Cup or Volvo Ocean Race but it
is in fact a highly specialized service supplier at the service of
a vast Private and Corporate clientele.
The goal is to thrill whoever wants to taste a challenge both
in sea and on shore; the ambition is for the Yachting Club to
become a forge for fans.

Qual è oggi il ruolo di uno Yachting Club?
Questa è la domanda che mi è stata posta durante
la fase attuativa della costruzione del Marina di
Rodi. Nella nostra visione non si tratta solo di un
luogo deputato ad accogliere feste, premiazioni e
momenti conviviali, soprattutto non vogliamo
relegare le attività al solo periodo estivo.
Di qui la scelta di un partner specializzato che
avesse voglia di investire nella struttura, e
soprattutto avesse la possibilità di farla crescere
puntando su sport ed intrattenimento.
La risposta della Match Race Challenge immagina,
uno Yachting Club inteso come Water Sport
Center, a naturale supporto e completamento dei
servizi di alto profilo offerti da un moderno Marina.
Una vera e propria Base Nautica replica fedele
di una struttura in stile Coppa America,
con imbarcazioni “racer” che richiamino il concetto

COURSES AND BEAUTIES OF THE GARGANO

On the ancient course that goes from Venezia, passes through
the Otranto Channel and leads towards Greece and the East,
is the Cape of the Gargano.
The highest peak is the beautiful Mount Calvo which slightly
exceeds 1000 meters. Less than 20 miles North-West is the
beautiful Archipelago of Tremiti with Pianosa at its east end.
A piece of Dalmatia settled on the Gargano, same architectures,
same pines and carobs, same aromas and same crystal clear
water rich with fauna.
To wake up in a small cove of the Tremiti to the call of the
seagulls and the wails of Diomedes is a unique sensation,
protected by the beautiful and superb Benedictine abbacy which
always watches over from above – YOU WILL BE GROUND
AND FRIED is engraved on one of its doors – always protecting
the barbaresque wood and the Dalmatian wardrobes with slim
lateen sails, so fast and brave to sail the wind.
From the Tremiti we descend, with bowline or carrier wind,
towards the green Cape of the Gargano, we sail towards Rodi,
a village of citrus fruits, olive trees and eternal springs.
“Before man the gods lived here”, the beauty of its rich gardens
full of all types of fruit is never ending.
A small village is castled on a small cape and presents the
colours of a palette enlightened by the sun, a village which at
the end of the 19th century had over 50 sailing vessels between
luggers and bragozzi (lug sails), in confirmation of the great
sailor’s tradition and of the commerce with Dalmatia, Trieste,
Venice and the Greek islands.
The big problem for the local sailors has always been the lack
of a safe harbour to set out from.
The almost ready Rodi Marina has been the dream of these
men and after centuries it takes the place of the ancient roman
port at the base of the old town centre.
You can storeroom, relax, organize cruises and go further
South or North-North-East towards the island of Pelagosa
and only 31 miles from there Lagosta, Curzola and pay a
flying visit to beautiful Ragusa, today’s Dubrovnik.
By night, from the old town above the Marina you can see the
powerful lighthouse of Pelagosa, at its left there is the Pianosa
lighthouse, the one of San Nicola at the Tremiti and finally
West in the clear days you can see the Maiella and the lights
of the coastline.
Sailing during the night, with the land breeze, the boat logs
quickly on the calm sea and in springtime you can smell the
intense aroma of the pines and the orange blossoms. With
your eyes closed you know that in some part of that coast you
will find yourselves without calculation, without gps, with just
a “feeling”, like the ancient sailors.
We find ourselves in the National Park of Gargano, between
sea, lakes and the Umbrian forest.
To dock the boat at Rodi Marina and search for orchids in
summer or mushrooms in autumn, to anchor in a calm bay
on the incredible coast full of caves, to listen to the nightingales
sing on the century-old oaks, to sail towards a desert island
like Pianosa and return with the East wind when the sun sets
(almost every afternoon when the weather is good).
Isn’t it enough to be happy?
Here the sun rises from the sea and it sets in the sea, behind
the island of San Domino precisely on June 21st. A unique
sight in the Adriatic.

ROTTE E SUGGESTIONI
DEL GARGANO.

Seguendo l’antica rotta che da Venezia passa per il Canale d’Otranto e conduce verso la Grecia e l’Oriente,
si incontra il Promontorio del Gargano. La vetta più alta è il Monte Calvo che supera di poco i mille metri.
A meno di 20 miglia, a Nord-Ovest, c’è il bellissimo Arcipelago delle Tremiti con all’estremità Est l’isolotto di Pianosa.
Un pezzo di Dalmazia trapiantato nel Gargano, le stesse architetture, gli stessi pini e carrubi, gli stessi profumi,
e le stesse acque trasparenti e ricche di fauna.
Risvegliarsi in una caletta delle Tremiti al richiamo dei gabbiani ed al gemere delle Diomedee è una sensazione unica,
protetti dalla stupenda e superba abbazia benedettina che da sempre vigila dall’alto - SARETE STRITOLATI E
FRITTI, è scolpito su una delle porte - sempre attenta ai legni barbareschi e dalmati armati di slanciate vele latine,
così veloci e bravi nel risalire il vento.
Dalle Tremiti si scende, con venti portanti o di bolina, verso il verde Promontorio Garganico, si fa vela verso Rodi,
paese degli agrumi, degli ulivi e delle sorgenti perenni.
“Qui prima degli uomini vissero gli dei”, tanta è la bellezza dei suoi giardini ricchi di ogni tipo di frutta.
Un piccolo paese arroccato su un minuscolo promontorio che ha i colori di una tavolozza illuminata dal sole, un
borgo che alla fine dell’Ottocento aveva più di 50 velieri da trasporto fra trabaccoli e bragozzi (vela al terzo).
A conferma di una grande tradizione marinara e di un continuo commercio con la Dalmazia, con Trieste, Venezia
e le isole greche. Il grande problema per i marinai locali è stato da sempre un porto sicuro da cui partire.
Il Marina di Rodi ormai quasi ultimato è stato il sogno di questi uomini, e dopo secoli prende il posto dell’antico
porto romano, alla base del centro storico.
Si potrà fare cambusa, riposarsi, organizzarsi per lunghe veleggiate e scendere ancora più a Sud o salire a Nord-NordEst verso le isole di Pelagosa ad appena 31 miglia, Lagosta, Curzola, e fare poi una puntata sulla bella Ragusa oggi
Dubrovnik. La notte dal paese vecchio, sopra il Marina, si scorge il potente faro di Pelagosa, alla sua sinistra si
individua quello di Pianosa, poi quello di San Nicola alle Tremiti e finalmente a Ponente, nelle giornate limpide,
la Maiella e le luci della costa.
Navigando nelle ore notturne, con la brezza da terra, la barca fila veloce sul mare calmo ed in primavera
si sente intenso il profumo dei pini e dei fiori d’arancio. Ad occhi chiusi, si sa già in che parte della costa ci si trova,
senza calcoli, senza gps., “a naso”, come forse facevano gli antichi marinai.
Siamo nel parco Nazionale del Gargano, fra il mare, i laghi e la foresta Umbra.
Ormeggiare la barca nel Marina di Rodi ed andare in giro in cerca di orchidee in primavera o di funghi in autunno,
ancorarsi alla ruota in una baia tranquilla sulla incredibile costa ricca di grotte marine, ascoltare il canto
degli usignoli nei lecci secolari, partire per una veleggiata verso la disabitata isola di Pianosa e tornare col Levante
(quasi ogni pomeriggio di bel tempo) quando cala il sole.
Non è abbastanza per essere felici? Qui il sole sorge dal mare e tramonta nel mare, dietro l’isola di San Domino
esattamente il 21 giugno. Spettacolo unico in Adriatico. Benvenuti a Rodi

SUMMER IN RODI GARGANICO
DIARY OF A SCUBA-DIVER
AT THE TREMITI ISLANDS
Like every year the City Council of Rodi Garganico and Lido
del Sole has prepared a full program of summer festivals that
will begin on the traditional Saint Day in the honour of saints
Maria Santissima della Libera and Saint Cristoforo, planned
on July 2nd and 3rd.
It’s an event that attracts visitors and devoted of the entire
Foggia province not only for its holy component but also
because you can enjoy the performances of bands and the
local gastronomic specialities.
Every week there are a series of shows that go from cabaret to
classical, pop, jazz and folk music, music and film festivals
without forgetting the traditional village festivals that start
in September and fill our old town centre with aromas and
colours that introduce us to the Autumn season with
enthusiasm offering agricultural products of unique taste and
landscapes that change with breathtaking colours.
The month of August always registers the highest number of
visitors and for this reason the show program is generally full
of events, in fact the cabaret festival is carried out in the
beautiful setting of the “Centro visite del Parco Nazionale del
Gargano” and numbers among the artists well-known stars
and young promises ready to interact with the audience.
Same goes for music which includes characters such as
Robertino da Capri, Bobby Jonhson, Linda, Gigi Finizio with
an exceptional band, one in all: Lele Melotti at the drums.
A special space is reserved to the young people with dedicated
parties animated by famous Italian DJs and folk music that
is making Puglia an experimental laboratory
of ideas and new sounds. This year on the new dock of the
Tourist Port there are pyrotechnics competitions that offer an
attractive night surrounding to the beautiful landscape.
I hope to see you in Rodi, I will be your guide, ready to seize
inspiration and suggestions from the people in order to help
our enthusiasm and your fun grow.
I would also like to remind you that Rodi Garganico in 2008
is not only a Blue Flag but has received the longed for
acknowledgement of “Legambiente delle 4 Vele Scudate”
that is our pride.

I am a scuba-diver instructor but, most of all, a great fan with
a lot of diving experience in the clearest Italian seas.
Years ago some enthusiastic friends told me about
the Tremiti islands. I had to go there!
I got in contact with one of the diving centres of the island so
I could dive with a guide and in a safe place, and so it was.
I perfectly remember when I put my foot on the island of San
Nicola, I was overwhelmed by the blinding glare of the sun
on the crystal-clear water that surrounds the island, I was
looking forward to my unforgettable dive.
I got on the rubber dinghy that was taking us to the underwater
location called “Secca di Punta Secca”, near the island of
Caprara. On the way I assembled my equipment and put on
my wetsuit, conscious of the fact that in a few minutes I would
have admired one of the most beautiful and well preserved
natural habitats of the Mediterranean.
As soon as I arrived, after the usual o.k. with my colleagues,
I dived and, strangely, the deeper I went along the rock face
the less need I had for my underwater torch given
the clearness of the water.
A horde of red scorpions were in charge of welcoming us and
on the seabed was a mantle of sea fans, the rock face was
dotted with dens of morays which were just the background
of a fine specimen of black coral.
We continued our descent accompanied by crayfish, dentex,
lobsters, groupers, sea urchin, and sea horses, to reach 27
meters depth then 43 meters and 47 meters, at that point to
my surprise you could admire two superb rock arches.
It is an undamaged environment thanks to the recent
institution of the Marine Reserve, probably one of the most
amazing in Italy due to the variety of species.
It was an immersion that went way beyond my expectations.
I expect to go back soon and dive again in this water but at
the same time I would like to complete my photo reportage
on the many wrecks of all ages lying on the seabed of the
Gargano, many of which are still not registered on the charts.
L’ESTATE DI RODI
GARGANICO.
Un racconto appassionato del primo
cittadino di Rodi Garganico.
Come ogni anno, il Comune di Rodi Garganico e Lido del
Sole ha approntato un ricco programma di manifestazioni
estive che ha inizio con la tradizionale festa Patronale in
onore dei Santi Maria Santissima della Libera e San Cristoforo
in programma per il 2 e 3 Luglio.
Si tratta di un evento che richiama visitatori e devoti da tutta
la provincia di Foggia, in cui oltre alla componente sacra
è ancora possibile apprezzare le performance delle bande
musicali e le migliori specialità gastronomiche del luogo.
Non mancano settimanalmente una serie di manifestazioni
che spaziano dal cabaret, alla musica classica, leggera,
jazz e folk, rassegne cinematografiche e bandistiche senza
trascurare le classiche Sagre che a partire dal mese
di Settembre inondano di profumi il nostro centro storico
e con il loro colore ed entusiasmo ci accompagnano verso
l’autunno, che da noi offre prodotti della terra dal sapore
unico accompagnati da panorami che si trasformano
con colori mozzafiato.
Il mese di Agosto come di consueto registra il maggior
numero di presenze e per tale motivo il cartellone delle
manifestazioni generalmente è più ricco di eventi, infatti la
rassegna di cabaret si svolge nella cornice del meraviglioso
“Centro visite del Parco Nazionale del Gargano”, ed annovera
tra gli artisti noti protagonisti dello star system e giovani
promettenti pronti ad interagire con il numeroso pubblico.
Lo stesso vale per la musica che annovera personaggi come
Robertino da Capri, Bobby Jonhson, Linda, Gigi Finizio con
una band d’eccezione, uno su tutti: Lele Melotti alla batteria.
Uno spazio speciale è dedicato ai giovani con feste dedicate
ed animate da noti Dj nazionali, così come la musica popolare
che sta trasformando la Puglia in un laboratorio di
sperimentazione di idee e nuovi sound.
E da quest’anno sul nuovo molo del Porto Turistico le gare
pirotecniche che nella notte fanno da suggestivo contorno
al nostro meraviglioso paesaggio.
Vi aspetto a Rodi, sarò con voi per strada a farvi da guida,

riconoscimento di Legambiente delle 4 Vele Scudate,
che è per noi motivo di legittimo orgoglio.

UN’IMMERSIONE
ALLE TREMITI.

Sono un istruttore subacqueo, ma soprattutto sono un grande
appassionato, con una lunga esperienza di immersioni,
effettuate nei più limpidi Mari d’Italia.
Anni fa alcuni amici mi avevano raccontato, entusiasti, delle
Isole Tremiti. Dovevo andarci!
Ho preso contatti con uno dei centri diving del posto in
modo da immergermi con una guida esperta ed in un luogo
sicuro, e così è stato.
Ricordo perfettamente il momento in cui ho messo piede
sull’isola di San Nicola, sono stato sopraffatto dal riverbero
accecante creato dal sole sulle acque cristalline che circondano
l’isola, pregustavo già un’immersione indimenticabile.
Sono salito sul gommone che ci avrebbe portato verso il sito
subacqueo “Secca di Punta Secca”, nei pressi dell’Isola di
Caprara. Durante il tragitto, ho assemblato la mia attrezzatura
ed indossato la muta, consapevole del fatto che di lì a pochi
minuti avrei ammirato uno degli habitat naturali più belli e
meglio conservati del Mediterraneo.
Appena giunto sul punto prestabilito, dopo l’ok di rito con
i compagni, mi sono immerso e cosa incredibile man mano
che aumentava la profondità della nostra discesa lungo una
parete rocciosa non ho avuto alcun bisogno di utilizzare la
mia torcia subacquea, data la trasparenza dell’acqua.
Incaricati a darci il benvenuto un branco di scorfani rossi
e sul fondale un tappeto di Gorgonie, la stessa cosa dicasi
per le pareti rocciose punteggiate da tane di murene, che
facevano da scenario per esaltare uno splendido esemplare
di corallo nero.
Abbiamo continuato la nostra discesa, in compagnia di
aragoste, dentici, astici, cernie, ricciole, cavallucci marini,
per giungere a circa 27 mt. di profondità e poi ancora tra i
43 mt. ed i 47 mt. punto dove con mia grande sorpresa, si
potevano ammirare due superbi archi di roccia.
Un ambiente davvero integro grazie alla recente istituzione
della Riserva Marina, probabilmente una delle più
sorprendenti d’Italia per la varietà delle specie presenti.
Un’immersione che ha di gran lunga superato le mie
aspettative.
Conto di ritornare presto ad immergermi in queste acque,
ma allo stesso tempo desidero completare il mio reportage
fotografico sui numerosi relitti di ogni epoca adagiati sui
fondali Garganici, molti dei quali, ancora non riportati sulle
carte nautiche.

REASONS TO BUY A BERTH IN RODI MARINA

Italy is a peninsula surrounded for three-fourths by water
and until today to own a yacht and a berth is privilege of few
also because of the high costs due to the difficulty to find
really efficient moorings at the existing Marinas.
During our experience in Rodi we have had the chance to
evaluate the needs and desires of families that have considered
owning a berth at our Marina as a dream come true.
This goes for both holiday cruiser owners and fans that want
a safe base for their craft destined to day cruising.
Common to all is the desire to sail to the Adriatic searching
for the peace that only sailing in these places can offer.
From their stories we have learned that many sea lovers in
the past were forced to give their boat away because the
difficulties of finding shelter, maintenance, mooring and
assistance exceeded the benefits.
Buying a berth in Marina di Rodi has given back the joy to
experience the sea from the boat to all those people and their
radiant faces witness the satisfaction of being able to leave
their yacht in water all year long because safe berthing and
protection from the wind offers the possibility to reach their
boat at any time, to set sail and enjoy peace and relaxation
in a unique environmental context. Our “floating village”
offers hours of pure relax while taking care of your boat: you
can simply sun bath or dine on board with friends, admire
the sunset surrounded by the charming old city centre rooted
on the green hill of Rodi.
All these things are common among the ship owners
throughout the world, the difference of Rodi is the environment,
the climate and, above all, the money saving, which is tangible
in the services and the cost of goods because in the Marina
you can find all types of activities: laundry, yards, ship
chandlers, boutiques, supermarket, beauty centres, restaurants
and entertainment.
Many in this area have chosen to buy a berth to increase the
commercial value of their home; in fact the availability of a
guaranteed berth not only makes it more desirable but also
allows you to rent it at better conditions.
Last but not least, many ship owners coming from the centre
and the north of Italy have fairly defined Rodi Marina the
first “Low Cast Harbour” in Italy given the geographical
position, strategic to reach in short time to places like Croatia
(only 60 miles away), Montenegro and Greece, but also

L’Italia è una penisola circondata per tre quarti dal mare, eppure
fino ad oggi la proprietà di un’imbarcazione da diporto e di un
posto barca è stata prerogativa di pochi, anche a causa di costi
spesso eccessivi, dovuti essenzialmente alla difficoltà di trovare
possibilità di ormeggio presso i pochi Marina veramente efficienti.
Durante la nostra esperienza a Rodi abbiamo avuto modo di
valutare esigenze e desideri di numerose famiglie, che hanno
vissuto l’acquisto di un posto barca presso il nostro Marina come
il realizzarsi di un sogno a lungo inseguito.
Questo discorso vale sia per gli armatori di barche da crociera
che per i semplici appassionati che desiderano una base sicura
per la loro imbarcazione destinata al day cruising.
Per tutti il desiderio di solcare l’Adriatico, alla ricerca di una
tranquillità che solo la navigazione in questi luoghi può donare.
Dai loro racconti abbiamo appreso che in tanti, in passato, pur
amando il mare, sono stati costretti a dar via la propria barca,
perché le difficoltà di utilizzo, legate al ricovero, alla manutenzione,
all’ormeggio ed all’assistenza superavano i vantaggi.
L’acquisto di un posto barca nel Marina di Rodi ha restituito il

mondo, la differenza a Rodi è il contesto ambientale, il clima e
perché no, per un risparmio assolutamente tangibile nella
fruizione di servizi, nell’acquisto di merci e prodotti in genere,
poichè al suo interno è presente ogni tipo di attività tra cui
lavanderia, cantiere nautico, negozi tecnici, boutique, market,
centro di estetica, oltre che ristoranti e luoghi di intrattenimento.
Molti in zona hanno scelto di acquistare un posto barca anche
per valorizzare la propria casa da un punto di vista economico,
infatti la disponibilità di un ormeggio garantito non solo la
rende più appetibile ma consente anche di locarla a condizioni
più favorevoli. In ultimo, molti armatori provenienti dal centro
e dal nord del nostro paese, hanno giustamente definito il Marina
di Rodi il primo “Porto Low Cost”d’Italia, data la posizione
geografica decisamente strategica per il raggiungimento in tempi
brevi di mete, quali Croazia (a sole 60 ml), Montenegro, e Grecia,
sia per gli amanti della vela, che per gli appassionati del motore
con minimo impiego di carburante, e con poche miglia di
navigazione, semplicemente costeggiando il promontorio ci si
ritrova in baie suggestive ed incontaminate.
Risparmio ed investimento sono due concetti che si coniugano
alla perfezione nel Marina di Rodi grazie alla reale possibilità
di sfruttare a pieno la propria barca.
Una ultima nota: io ed il mio compagno ci siamo trasferiti a
Rodi da oltre un anno, siamo ormai perfettamente inseriti in
questo contesto, la cittadina è un luogo ideale e piacevole per
viverci stabilmente. È questa ormai la nostra scelta di vita,
non solo di lavoro. Tutto ciò rende l’acquisto di un posto barca
nel Marina di Rodi Garganico, un ottimo investimento,
perché realmente sfruttabile.

L’entusiasmo di chi ha già acquistato un posto barca.
Arriva un momento nella vita in cui ti fai la classica domanda: “Tutto il gran
correre che hai fatto, per carriera, per soldi, per amore, per bisogno: dove ti
ha portato?” Quando anch’io me la sono fatta, la risposta è stata che stavo
tornando al punto di partenza! Stavo ancora cercando, dopo tanto correre ,
di trovare le mie radici vere, più spirituali che materiali, le mie esigenze
primarie di pace, raccoglimento, bellezza e natura. Se adesso sono arrivato
qui, a RODI GARGANICO, è perchè sento che questa terra, questi boschi,
queste arance, ma soprattutto questo mare, un po’ mi appartengono. Sono
nato lontano dal mare, ma in una terra dove i Crociati sceglievano i legni
con cui fare le loro navi per traversare l’Adriatico verso Est. Ho sentito l’odore
salmastro da lontano, l’ho seguito ed inseguito tutta la vita : credo adesso di
averlo trovato. Rodi Garganico, il Gargano, è anche un simbolo, una piccola
penisola della grande penisola.
Questo mare un po’ appartato, nascosto dietro lo splendore delle Tremiti mi
intriga terribilmente sono certo che non mi deluderà, e questa zona bellissima
ed ancora poco sfruttata offre condizioni di acquisto davvero interessanti se
paragonate all’area Tirrenica Il nuovo Porto sarà la mia nuova base, ci sarà la
mia barca, la mia canna da pesca, la mia maschera e le mie pinne. Ci sarò Io.
There comes a time in life when you ask yourself the famous question: all the running
I have done, for carrier, money, love, need: where did it take you? When I asked myself
this question the answer was that…'85.I was going back to the starting point! After all
that running, I was still searching for my real roots, more spiritual than material, my
primary needs of peace, concentration, beauty and nature. If I am here today, at RODI
GARGANICO, it’s because I feel that this land, these forests, these oranges, but most of
all this sea belong to me. I was born far from the sea, but in a land where Crusaders
chose the wood they used to build their boats to cross the Adriatic. I smelt the salt air
from afar, I followed it all my life: now I think I found it. Rodi Garganico, the Gargano,
is also a symbol, a small peninsula in the bigger one. This isolated sea, hidden behind
the beauties of the Tremiti, intrigues me and I am sure it will not disappoint me. This
beautiful area not yet exploited offers very interesting buying conditions compared to
the Tyrrhenian. The new harbour will become my new base; my boat will be there, my
fishing rod, my mask and my fins. I will be there.

Il mio interesse nell’acquisto di un posto barca a Rodi nasce essenzialmente
dal fatto che da circa 20 anni vengo in vacanza a San Menaio, dove mia
moglie ha una casa, e dalla mia passione per il mare. A mio parere il mare
va vissuto con una barca, sia essa a vela che a motore, e una barca ha
bisogno di un porto. Nel Gargano nord non c'è una struttura che possa
dirsi tale e quindi il porto di Rodi mi è sembrata la prima vera opportunità
per godermi la barca senza preoccupazioni e con quei servizi che, a me
che vengo dal Tirreno, ho sempre trovato in qualsiasi porto turistico e
che invece sul Gargano saranno una novità. Del progetto mi piace il suo
inserimento nella vecchia Rodi, ma sono certo che sarà anche un porto
di passaggio per altre destinazioni, e per chi come me è appassionato di
pesca, sarà invece un valido punto di riferimento per tutto ciò che fa di
una vacanza un vero relax.
My interest in buying a berth in Rodi come from the fact that for 20 years I’ve been
coming to San Menaio on vacation, where my wife owns a house, and from my
passion for the sea. I think that you need a boat to enjoy the sea, be it a sail or motor
unit, and a boat needs a port. In the northern Gargano there is not one structure
that can be defined such, therefore the Rodi port seems to be the real first opportunity
to enjoy my boat without worries and with all the services I had always found in
any other harbour in the Tyrrhenian but which is new for this area. I like the fact
that it is inserted in the old town of Rodi but I am sure it will become a port for
people just passing by off to other destinations, and for a fishing fan like me it will
be a landmark for a really relaxing vacatn.

La realizzazione di un porto turistico nel Gargano ed in particolare
a Rodi, rappresenta per tutti i diportisti un’occasione unica per vivere
a tempo pieno il mare e la propria imbarcazione.
Si può costeggiare tutto il Gargano fino a Mattinata; in due massimo
tre ore si arriva nel paradiso naturale delle Isole Tremiti; in quattro,
massimo sei ore si è in Croazia e tutto questo sarà sempre possibile,

Garganico, perché credo che la portualità, quella con la P maiuscola
non si improvvisa e qui grazie alla CIDONIO spa sono sicuro di averla
trovata, ed a costi assolutamente accessibili.
The making of a tourist port in the Gargano and in particular in Rodi represents for all
ship owners the unique opportunity to live the sea and his craft full-time. You can sail
along the Gargano until Mattinata; in two or three hours you reach the natural paradise
of the Tremiti Islands; in four or six hours you reach Croatia and all this is always possible
with reduced management costs and fuel consumption, along with all the assistance a
tourist port can offer. If the port is well managed and assisted, it can become a litmus

I bought a berth in the Rodi Garganico Port because I believe that port facilities with a

Ho 57 anni ed essendo appassionato di storia in generale e di quella
di Rodi in particolare avevo due aspettative “storiche” la caduta del
muro di Berlino e la costruzione del Porto a Rodi.
La ragione per cui sono molto felice per questa iniziativa,
sta nel fatto che essendo originario del luogo da parte di madre, sono
molto legato al Gargano, anche se vivendo in Lombardia (Sesto San
Giovanni) ho sempre vissuto con sofferenza,

del lavoro che vede una discreta ma temporalmente limitata attività
turistica. Il porto da parte mia viene vissuto come una opportunità

I’m 57 and a history lover, especially the one of Rodi, and I had two historical
expectations, the fall of the Berlin Wall and the building of the Rodi Port. The reason
why I am so happy about this initiative is because, being native of this area from my
mothers side, I am very attached to the Gargano although I always lived in Lombardia
(Sesto San Giovanni), and I always suffered about the fact that the South, especially
Rodi, had a critical employment status which meant a discrete yet limited tourist
activity. I see the port as an opportunity besides a personal investment, also of

in caso di rivendita fra qualche anno, visto che i prezzi sono in continua
crescita e la disponibilità è comunque limitata.
Considering that for years the construction of a tourist port in Rodi Garganico was
wished for, since my family owns a house in Rodi it seemed logical to buy a berth
there, both for the need to shelter my boat and to increase the value of the house;
keeping speculation in mind in case I decide to sell the house in a few years since the
prices are constantly going up and the availability is quite limited.

sul nuovo Porto di Rodi”. La domanda che ci siamo posti è stata:”perché non
farlo?”. Il Marina di Rodi Garganico è il primo vero ed importante progetto
di rilancio di un territorio stupendo. Dobbiamo esserne tutti contenti, perché
tutti ne trarremo grandi vantaggi, diretti ed indiretti. Ma la cosa ancor più
certa, è che i primi a godere di tutti i vantaggi che ne deriveranno, saranno
coloro che hanno investito in questa struttura e in questo progetto.
The issue is not “why buy a berth and commercial premises on the new Rodi Port”.
The question is: “why not?” The Rodi Garganico Marina is the first real important
project of revival of a beautiful area. We should all be happy because we will all gain
benefit directly and indirectly. But even more certain is the fact that the first to enjoy
these benefits will be those that have invested in the structure and in this project.
