The Quartieri Collinari - These are hill zones which were developed at the end of the 19th century as a residential district for the NeapolitanbourgeoisieilVomerounderwentradicalchangesinthe’50sand’70swhichhas madeitintooneofthebusiestandmostchaoticareasinthecity.Itislinkedtosurrounding areasbythreefunicolarrailways,butitstillretainsamongsomeofthecity’smostimportant monuments.CastelSant’ElmoandtheCertosadiSanMartino,werebuiltaround1350,and dominate the city from above.
