1. A message from our Student Supervisor Mr. Dean - Mr. Dean would like to
remind you of two items that will make the organization of the lunch area and
uniforms easier to manage:
 Students who come to school with cold lunch are reminded to take their
lunchboxes home at the end of each day. For reasons of hygiene,
lunchboxes containing food will be discarded at the end of the week.

Students are asked to write their names in their uniforms. A dozen
nameless sweatshirts were collected throughout the school last Friday.
2. Upper School Spirit Week – Feb 8 – 12 – All students are invited to participate
in our annual Spirit Week. Each day of next week has a different theme and
students can come dressed up accordingly. If students do not wish to dress up, they
must wear their school uniforms to school each day. For more information, please
see the attached calendar.
3. Middle School Valentine’s Dance – Friday, February 12, 7:00pm – The Middle
School Student Council is proud to present
the MS Valentine’s Dance. An
information letter will be sent out to Middle School parents early next week.
 “Shrove Tuesday” - The PA has organized a pancake sale on Tuesday,
February 9. All money raised will go towards the MS Student Council
Valentine’s Dance. Please remind your child to bring money that day to
buy a delicious pancake and drink!
4. European College Consortium for 11th grade - February 10 – A consortium of
European colleges will come to school next Wednesday, February 10. They will give
a workshop and abbreviated college fair to students in Grade 11.
5. Basketball Home Games – This Saturday, 6 February, the Girls’ and Boys’
Basketball teams will be playing at home against Aviano. Come out to see them play
at
the “Pala Coverciano” gym located in Via de
Boars! The schedule for Saturday is the following:

6. CAS Activities and Collection Box:
 Angeli del Bello - Saturday February 6, 9:30 - Parco Dell’Anconella, Via
Villamagna Volunteers will be required to help clean the prototype of the
Cupola of Brunelleschi, which has been defaced with graffiti, and the
surrounding
area.

 Angelo per un Giorno – Carnival - Sunday, February 7: 14:00 – 18:30.
ISF Junior School campus, via del Carota, 23/25, Bagno a Ripoli (FI). CAS
and PreCAS students will be helping to organize the Carnival party for
children from local foster homes.
 Busajo Onlus is an Italian-based organization set up in order to help the
street children in Ethiopia. We have been asked to collect new or goodquality used single bed sheets and pillow cases, along with some items of
clothing, which are detailed on the attached flyer. Boxes have been placed
in Reception to collect these items.

1. Il Supervisore degli Studenti, Mr Dean, vorrebbe ricordarvi due
importanti comunicazioni che renderanno l’organizzazione dell’area mensa e la
gestione delle
divise
più semplice:

Studenti che portano il proprio pranzo da casa sono pregati di riportare i
lunch boxes a casa alla fine di ogni giorno. Per motivi d’igiene e lunchboxes
contenenti ancora cibo verranno buttati via alla fine della settimana.

Studenti devono avere il proprio nome sulle divise. Una dozzina di felpe
senza nome sono state raccolte in tutta la scuola venerdì.
2. Spirit Week alla Upper School, 8-12 febbraio – tutti gli studenti sono invitati a
prendere parte all’annuale Spirit Week. Ogni giorno della settimana avrà un tema
differente e gli studenti possono venire vestiti secondo il tema del giorno. Se gli
studenti non si vogliono vestire dovranno mettere la divisa. Per maggiori
informazioni consultate il calendario in allegato.
 Pancake Sale – Martedi, 10 febbraio il Parent Association ha
organizzato un pancake sale. I pancake saranno venduti a scuola
martedì. I soldi ricavati saranno donati alla Middle School Student
Council per la danza di San Valentino. Gli studenti sono pregati di
portare soldi per la vendita.
3. Ballo di San Valentino delle Medie, venerdì 12 febbraio alle 19:00 – Il
Consiglio Studentesco delle Medie è lieto di annunciare il Ballo di San Valentino.
Una lettera con le
informazioni verrà inviata a tutti i genitori delle Medie la
prossima settimana.
4. Visita dei College Europei, per il Grado 11 , 10 febbraio – Un Consorzio dei
College Europei sarà presente a scuola mercoledì 10 febbraio per dare una breve
presentazione e fare una versione abbreviata di un College Fair.
5. Partite di pallacanestro: sabato 6 febbraio la squadra maschile e femminile di
pallacanestro giocheranno a casa conto Aviano. Vi aspettiamo numerosi per vederli
giocare al “Pala Coverciano” in Via de Robertis, 21. Forza

- Angeli del bello – sabato 6 febbraio alle 9:30 - Parco Dell’Anconella, Via
Villamagna. I volontari ripuliranno il modello della Cupola del Brunnelleschi che

campus della Junior School, via del Carota, 23/25, Bagno a Ripoli. Gli stuidenti
CAS e PreCAS aiuteranno ad organizare la festa di carnevale per ragazzi
bisognosi.
- Busajo - Stiamo raccogliendo lenzuola e federe di buna qualità, oltre che a
vestiario, come da volantino allegato. In reception ci sono i contenitori per la
raccolta.
