Dear Parents of the ISF Upper School,
As the new Principal I am very happy to be here, and appreciate the warm welcome that has been
extended to me by various members of the community. It was lovely to see the students arriving
at school for the first day, full of energy and ideas, and happy to meet old friends and welcome
newcomers.
We already have a busy month planned, and look forward to a productive and interesting time:





Welcome Cocktails for all parents, Friday 2nd September, 6-9pm, on the terrace
Meet the Principal Coffee Morning, Tuesday 6 September, 8:45 -9:45am
Grade 6 students will be attending orientation assemblies with the grade 6 teachers at
specific times on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week as part of their
introduction to Middle School at ISF
Orientation trips Thurs and Fri 8 & 9 September, for grades 6-10. G11 will be off campus
for a TOK exploration, and G12 will remain at school to complete their science Internal
Assessments. Letters will be sent home with more details
University visit from Tufts University, USA, for grades 10 -12 on Tuesday 14 September
A few reminders:




Please ensure that your child has a water bottle with her/his name on it
Students have been allocated lockers; encourage them to use them rather than carry heavy
bags around all day
Students should bring a snack for morning break
For health and safety reasons, please note that animals are not allowed in the school
building.

Cari genitori della Scuola Superiore ISF,
Come il nuova Preside sono molto felice di essere qui, ed apprezzo la calda accoglienza che mi è
stata estesa dai diversi membri della comunità. E 'stato bello vedere gli studenti arrivare a scuola
per il primo giorno, pieni di energia e di idee, e felici di ritrovare vecchi amici e dare il benvenuto
ai nuovi arrivati.
Abbiamo già pianificato un’intenso mese di eventi, e siamo pronti ad affrontare un periodo
produttivo ed interessante:
• Cocktail di benvenuto per tutti i genitori, venerdì 2 settembre 18:00-21:00
• Coffee Morning "Incontro con il Preside", Martedì 6 settembre, 08:45 -9: 45
• Gli studenti del Grade 6 parteciperanno a gruppi di orientamento con gli insegnanti del proprio
grado il lunedi, martedì e mercoledì della prossima settimana come parte della loro introduzione
alla scuola media a ISF
• Viaggi orientamento giovedì e Venerdì 8 e 9 settembre per i gradi 6-10. Grado 11 sarà fuori dal
campus per un'esplorazione TOK, e Grado 12 rimarrà a scuola per completare la loro valutazione
interna di scienza. Le lettere saranno inviate a casa con maggiori dettagli a breve.
• Visita dell’Università di Tufts, Stati Uniti d'America, per i gradi 10 -12 martedì 14 settembre
Inoltre:




Assicuratevi che il vostro figlio/a abbia una bottiglia di acqua con il proprio nome
Agli studenti sono stati assegnati armadietti; incoraggiateli ad usarli piuttosto che
trasportare pesanti borse in giro tutto il giorno
Gli studenti dovrebbero portare uno spuntino per la ricreazione del mattino.
Per ragioni di sicurezza e igiene gli animali non sono permessi all’interno della scuola.
Non vedo l'ora di incontrarvi durante il cocktail.
