Die Ferienregion Lienzer Dolomiten ist seit jeher Ziel von Gästen, die Sonne und Lebensqualität in

BIKING A LA LIENZ
Radfahren mit der Familie ist rund um Lienz ein echter Genuss. Leichte Strecken, die meistens sanft bergab
führen sind ideal für Tagesausflüge. Lienz ist die Drehscheibe für den Drauradweg. Ambitionierte Straßenradler
begeben sich auf die Spuren vom Giro d’Italia oder der Österreich-Radrundfahrt über die Großglockner
Hochalpenstraße oder auf die Dolomitenrunde. Golfen im sonnigen Süden der Alpen: Bereits Ende März öffnet
die Dolomitengolfanlage ihre Tore und zählt somit zu den ersten in Österreich. Traumhaft ist die Kulisse vor der
man den Schläger schwingt.
WINTER
SONNENLOUNGES & SONNENGARANTIE
Sonnenanbeter und gemütliche Skifahrer fühlen sich am Zettersfeld richtig wohl. Eigene Sonnenlounges laden
zum Energietanken und Relaxen ein. Hier fährt man auf bestens präparierten Pisten immer mit Blick auf das
herrliche Dolomitenpanorama. Skiverleih, Skischule und Kleinkinderbetreuung sind hier selbstverständlich.
Wer’s sportlich möchte, dem sei der Hochstein ans Herz gelegt. Das Skigebiet führt bis in die Stadt herunter und
ist Austragungsort der Damenrennen im Slalom und Riesentorlauf. Dazu wurde die Anlage selbst modernisiert:
Kombibahn 8er Gondeln und 6er Sesseln. Die längste Abfahrt geht über sieben Kilometer bis ins Tal.

TIPPS ABSEITS DER PISTEN
Glitzernder Schnee, Stille und nur das Knirschen der Tourenski und dann „Abfahrt im tiefen Pulverschnee“. Das
erleben Skitourengeher rund um Lienz in den Dolomiten und der Schobergruppe. Gefragt sind auch die über 30 km
Rodelstrecken vom Hochstein über die Dolomitenhütte bis hin zu kleineren Strecken in den umliegenden
Dörfern.
WINTERZAUBER *GLITZERWELT
Um die verschneite Landschaft rund um Lienz zu erkunden, wählt man am besten die Langlaufski oder die
Nordic Walking-Strecken. Auf flachen Loipen lernt man den Talboden kennen und begibt sich auf die Spuren der
Profis, die alljährlich im Jänner beim internationalen Dolomitenlauf über 60 km antreten.
Stimmungsvolle Wintertage sind vor allem in der Adventzeit garantiert, wenn der Weihnachtsmarkt die Stadt in
sein goldenes Licht taucht, die Liebburg zum größten Adventkalender des Landes wird und es nach Glühwein
und heißen Maroni duftet. Wird es kalt genug, dann lohnt sich auch ein Ausflug zum Tristacher See, der

ON THE SOUTH BALCONY OF THE ALPS
The holiday region of the Lienz Dolomites has been favoured for a long time by guests, who adore the sun and
quality of life in the impressive mountain backdrop. The Romans were the first to discover the Lienz basin as a
settlement area and founded the only Roman city in the Tirol - Aguntum. In the Middle Ages the Görz earls moved
to their summer residence to Schloss Bruck, where they enjoyed around 2000 hours of sunshine a year and the
Mediterranean influence on the climate. Lienz, with its cosy streets and squares, boutiques, the weekly town
market on Fridays and Saturdays, concerts and galleries, is a vibrant small city at the foot of the Dolomites.

The Lienz valley floor is blessed with excellent restaurants and inns. The surrounding villages offer special
delicacies. Local fish, award-winning Schnapps, excellent lamb and game, mushrooms and asparagus are the

BIKING A LA LIENZ
Cycling around Lienz with the family is a real pleasure. Easy routes, which are mostly gently downhill, are ideal for
day trips. Lienz is the hub for the Drau cycle path. Ambitious road riders take themselves off on the tracks of the
Giro d’Italia and the Tour of Austria via the Großglockner high Alpine roads or the Dolomite circuit. Golf in the
sunny Southern Alps - the golf facilities in the Dolomites open their doors at the end of March, making them one
the first places in Austria to do so. The backdrop as you swing your club is dreamy.

SUN LOUNGES & GUARANTEED SUN
Sun worshippers and unhurried skiers feel really good on the Zettersfeld. Your own sun lounge invites you to
stock up on energy and relax. Here you get to ski on the best prepared pistes, always with the fantastic Dolomite
panorama in hire. Of course there is ski hire, ski school and infant supervision here too. Hochstein is very much
recommended for whoever wants to be sporty. The ski area goes down into the city and is also the venue of the
Ladies race in the slalom and giant slalom. The longest ski run goes for over seven kilometres into the valley.

TIPS AWAY FORM THE PISTES
Glistening snow, peace and quiet and only the crunching sound of tour skis and then - a descent into the deep
powder snow. This is what those who go on ski tours experience around Lienz, in the Dolomites and the
Schobergruppe. Also in demand are over 30 km of toboggan routes from Hochstein to the Dolomitenhütte,
through to the smaller routes in the surrounding villages.
WINTER MAGIC *WORLD OF GLAMOUR
To discover the snow-covered landscape around Lienz, it’s best to select the cross-country skiing or the Nordic
Walking routes. On the flat slopes you can get to know the valley floor and set out in the tracks of the pros, who
line up annually in January at the international Dolomite race over 60 km. Impressive winter days are guaranteed
especially during Advent, when the Christmas market immerses the town in its golden light, the Liebburg
becomes the largest advent calendar in the country and there is the scent of mulled wine and hot chestnuts. If it
is cold enough, then an excursion to Tristacher See is worthwhile, which becomes frozen and mirrors the
Dolomites, and also offers ice skaters lots of pleasure.

SUL BALCONE A SUD DELLE ALPI
La regione di villeggiatura delle Dolomiti di Lienz è da molto tempo una meta per gli ospiti che vogliono godere
del sole, della qualità della vita e di un impressionante scenario montano. I romani furono i primi a scoprire il
bacino di Lienz come luogo per l’insediamento e fondarono l’unica città romana in Tirolo - Aguntum. Nel
medioevo, i conti di Gorizia costruirono la loro residenza estiva nel castello di Bruck, dove c’erano circa 2.000
ore di sole all’anno e si poteva godere dell‘influsso del clima mediterraneo. Lienz è una piccola città pulsante ai
piedi delle Dolomiti con le sue stradine e le sue piazzette tranquille, con il mercato settimanale il venerdì e il
sabato, con i concerti e le gallerie.

Il fondovalle di Lienz è pieno di eccellenti ristoranti e trattorie. Soprattutto i paesi circostanti offrono anch’esse le
loro specialità. Pesce locale, ottime grappe, eccellente agnello e cinghiale. Funghi e asparagi sono la base di una
cucina molto varia che a volte ha anche un leggero influsso della cucina del sud.
DOLOMITI ROMANTICHE E SELVAGGE
Dominano sul Osttirol verso sud - le Dolomiti di Lienz. Un paradiso per tutti coloro i quali amano le rocce
selvagge. Una tappa obbligatoria per tutti gli scalatori che hanno voglia di arrampicarsi - via ferrata sicura - e vi
farà trovare qui il meglio delle Alpi: via ferrata panoramica su sei vette delle Dolomiti, la gola della Galizia con le

ANDARE IN BICI A LIENZ
Andare in bici per Lienz con tutta la famiglia è un vero piacere. I percorsi agevoli, che portano dolcemente in
cima, sono ideali per una gita durante la giornata. Lienz è quasi come una piattaforma rotonda per la pista
ciclabile della Drava. I ciclisti ambiziosi potranno cimentarsi sulla scia del Giro d’Italia o del Giro d’Austria sulle
strade d’alta montagna del Großglockner o sulle Dolomiti. Giocare a golf sul soleggiato versante meridionale
delle Alpi: già a fine marzo gli impianti di golf sono aperti e risultano in questo tra i primi in Austria. Da sogno è il
paesaggio che circonda i campi da golf.
INVERNO
LOUNGE AL SOLE & SOLE GARANTITO
Chi ama il sole e lo sci si sentirà davvero a proprio agio a Zettersfeld. Alcune lounge al sole vi faranno fare il
pieno di energia e di relax. Qui si scia su delle piste ben preparate sempre guardando il panorama delle Dolomiti.
Ovviamente si possono noleggiare sci, richiedere lezioni di sci e miniclub per bambini. Per chi ama lo sport,
Hochstein ha di certo un posto d’onore. L’area sciistica porta fino alla città ed è anche un punto nel quale si
disputano gare femminili di slalom e slalom gigante. La gara più lunga arriva fino a valle per ben 7 km.

SUGGERIMENTI PER CHI È LONTANO DALLA PISTA
Neve luccicante, tranquillità, solo il rumore degli sci e poi - si parte in una densa neve farinosa. - Questo è quello
che prova chi va a sciare a Linz e sulle Dolomiti e per chi fa parte dello Schobergruppe. Sono richiesti anche i 30
km di percorsi da fare con lo slitta da Hochstein passando per i rifugi sulle dolomiti, fino a piccoli percorsi lungo i
paesi vicini.
MAGIA D’INVERNO *UN MONDO SCINTILLANTE
Per esplorare il paesaggio innevato attorno a Lienz, si sceglie nella migliore delle ipotesi lo sci di fondo e i
percorsi Nordic Walking. Sulle piste piane si impara a conoscere il fondo valle e si seguono le tracce dei
professioni che ogni anno percorrono oltre 60 km nella maratona di sci di fondo sulle Dolomiti.
I giorni invernali pieni di atmosfera sono garantiti nel periodo dell’avvento, quando il mercato natalizio riempie la
città con le sue luci dorate. La piazza Liebburg diventa il più grande calendario dell’avvento del paese e profuma
di marroni e di Glühwein. Se c’è abbastanza freddo allora vale la pena fare una gita al lago Tristacher che,
ghiacciato, diventa lo specchio delle Dolomiti e offre divertimento agli amanti del pattinaggio. Informazioni:
