Ha tenuto inoltre numerose relazioni invitate ai principali congressi internazionali del suo campo di ricerca, nonché molti seminari di ricerca dietro invito di Università e Istituzioni italiane ed estere. L’attività di ricerca passata e presente è incentrata sullo studio dell'evoluzione, la dinamica e la regolazione dell’apparato di sintesi proteica negli archei e negli eucarioti.
