Magellano 43HT with hard top.
Magellano 43HT with hard top. Following upon the success of the traditional version with a fly, Azimut yachts presents the new Magellano 43HT, a 13 metre with hard top from the Magellano Collection. While the external layout has been modified, the characteristics typical of the range are unchanged: smooth navigation in all conditions and a large degree of autonomy in a contemporary, Italian interpretation of the traditional trawler. THE MAGELLANO REVOLUTION: DISPLACEMENT AND PLANING TOGETHER Sailing for the pleasure of sailing and enjoying nature, unhurried, even along routes less travelled. This is the spirit of Azimut Yacht’s Magellano Collection carried forward by the Magellano 43 HT. It has as wide degree of autonomy, it can take on up to 1680 litres of fuel, allowing for long voyages at 9-10 knots along with all the comfort of a displacement boat but ready, at any time, to perform like a planing boat, able to accelerate to top speeds of between 18 and 22 knots, thanks to twin Cummins QSB 5.9 engines available in 305 or 355 mhp. 43HT: BORN FOR THE SEA, PERFECT FOR INLAND WATERWAYS The Magellano 43HT is the first Magellano equipped with a Hard Top rather than a flybridge. This configuration is particularly suited to owners who not only enjoy boating on the open seas but also on inland waterways. Its low height clearance enables the boat to navigate smoothly under fixed bridges on the main rivers and canals. Furthermore: the mast is available in a folding version, to allow the boat to further lower its clearance for the lowest of overhead navigating obstacles. (With the mast down, the minimum height clearance from the waterline is only 3.5 m). Thanks to the hard top’s 4 glass windows, two of which open to allow for enjoyment of the outside, the HT version is also rewarding for those who enjoy navigating in the sunlight and open air. THE TRAWLER ACCORDING TO AZIMUT As for the 43Fly, the styling of the 43HT is the result of an ongoing collaboration between dutch designer Cor D. Rover and the Azimut Yachts team, as ever with a special attention to detail that signifies the very best of Made in Italy products. The two different visions have come together to make a boat that has a fascination all its own. The Magellano Collection is actually a modern interpretation of the traditional Italian trawler, a craft that offers a series of technical and functional characteristics and an intelligent use of onboard space. The Magellano Collection goes a step further, along with the design goals it aims to better meet the needs of a growing number of owners, who are now looking for an attractive exterior design, more contemporary interiors and spaces that that are perfect for socialising onboard. The result is evident: a muscular, streamlined navigator look, rendered yet more unique by a vertical bow, stylistic feature typical of the Magellano line. The interiors are welcoming, with cabinetry in Canaletto Walnut. Light-coloured fabric inserts adorn the doors, contributing an airiness and even more complex character to a boat with a personality already rich and complete. NAVIGATION: ALWAYS SMOOTH, ALWAYS COMFORTABLE. This is the idea underpinning the entire Magellano Collection. An objective reached through the “Dual Mode” hull designed by Bill Dixon. This is what permits the boat to navigate in complete comfort whether performing at displacement or planing speeds. In the “Dual-mode” hull the rounded forms characteristic of the keel line, paired with broad, hard chines and a large capacity in the forward section terminating in a vertical bow, allow for reduced pitching and a significant mitigation of wave impact. Result: navigation that’s extremely smooth and comfortable at any speed and even in heavy seas. In addition, the specific design of the hull guarantees higher efficiency at low and medium speeds compared to a planing hull of equal displacement and length at the waterline. This means achieving a reduction in fuel consumption even at cruising speeds of between 14 and 18 knots, a range that meets the needs of a growing number of boaters. 13 METRES OF COMFORT, CONVENIENCE AND FEATURES The quality of life on board is highly dependent on the available space in each area. Magellano 43, also conceived for long-range navigation, was designed in every detail to offer the owner optimal use of available space. Even the salon of the 43 was designed in keeping with the Magellano spirit; as such it places social interaction at the fore in every part of the boat. The galley is positioned towards the stern in order to efficiently serve the interior dinette as well as the cockpit’s dining area. A comfortable and spacious C-shaped sofa is located forward, right next to the helmsman’s station in order to create a unified area that encompasses both guests and the captain at the helm. The helmsman’s seat pivots to integrate with the dinette area, offering additional seating. While maintaining a shaft-line system, better adapted to the propulsion needs of an allweather boat, the two cabins intended for the owner and guests respectively, are both equipped with a head featuring a separate shower, indicative of the spaciousness and comfort of this craft. A third room, starboard, can be converted into a third cabin with a single bed or rather used as additional storage space. In this configuration, the shipyard has designed and offers appropriately sized, large capacity cases that marry practicality and functionality; they can be folded and stowed when not in use. ------------ AZIMUT YACHTS E ATLANTIS PR & Press Manager AZIMUT YACHTS E ATLANTIS Press Office Giovanni Bogetto [email protected] Studio EffeErre Andrea Sculati - [email protected] Gloria Belloni - [email protected] T. +39 0233001100 Per il download di materiale completo sui singoli modelli e immagini: www.azimutpressarea.com Per il download di materiale completo sui singoli modelli e immagini: www.studioeffeerre.it/press.asp MAGELLANO 43HT - TECHNICAL DATA Lunghezza fuori tutto Length overall 13.63 m (44'9") Lunghezza scafo Hull length 12.96 m (42'6") Larghezza al baglio Beam (at main section) 4.40 m (14'5") Immersione (a pieno carico) Draft (at full load) 1.20 m (3'11") Dislocamento carico) Displacement load) (a pieno (at full 17.15 t Motorizzazione Engines 2 x 305 mHP Cummins QSB 5.9 2 x 355 mHP Cummins QSB 5.9 Velocità massima (a medio carico) Maximum speed (at half load) 18/22 nodi/knots Velocità di crociera (a medio carico) Cruising speed (at half load) 14/18 nodi/knots Serbatoi carburante Fuel capacity 1.680 lt (443 Us gls) Serbatoi acqua dolce Water capacity 600 lt (158 Us gls) Cabine Cabins 2/3 Posti letto Berths 4/5 Servizi Head compartments 2 Materiale di costruzione Building material VTR/GRP Carena Keel Semidislocante dual mode Semidisplacement dual mode Normativa UNI ISO 8666 Le prestazioni definite sono valide per un’imbarcazione in configurazione standard (equipaggiamenti standard installati) con carena eliche e timoni puliti.
