Mirage (x Elettra) dotata di tipicità, una bella testa
camusa e collo flessuoso di proprietà del sig.
Giuseppe Fontanella. A seguire, sul secondo gradino
del podio, *MG Alida El NJ (El Ninjo x Aliara DB)
di proprietà del sig. Angelo Moscarelli, mentre al

master was carried out by the resilient Mr. Ivo
Ludi, while the head of the disciplinary commission was the newly-appointed P resident of
E.C.A.H.O. Mr Willy Luder. He had committed to
this role some time ago, but he still wanted to be
there, despite his numerous engagements required
by his recent new job. This way, he showed great
fairness and professionalism, skills that are well
known among those who know Willy.

Splendida vittoria di categoria per l’ottima *Alima
Moniscione (WH Justice x Armonia) che ottiene il
punteggio più alto dell’intera competizione, ben 128
punti per la grigia davvero superlativa, dotata di un
collo lungo e flessuoso e di un movimento molto rilevato, di proprietà dell’Aretusa Arabians Team della
sig.ra Lucia Palumbo. Al secondo posto *Wahele
(Wahid x Elektra) di proprietà del sig. Giorgio Virga

The second category – that of yearling colts – had
fewer entries and was won by the typey gray *GHS
Nazareth ( WH Justice x Kirinova). *FS Positano
(Shakaar Ibn Sanadiva x Perugia) was second.
The owner of both these colts is Fontanella Magic
Arabians. Third place for *MC Wahid ( Wahid x
Majba Galaa) owned by Mr. Giuseppe Locascio.

Un parimerito decreta, per un punteggio maggiore in

da puledro in show di classe A come Aachen. Lo
stallone è di proprietà di Fontanella Magic Arabians.
Al secondo posto si classifica *Wahid (Echscaliber x
Al Batalah) di proprietà del sig. Salvatore Graffato
mentre si attesta al terzo posto il baio *Texas Magic
(Windsprees Mirage x Azali LR), stallone corretto di
proprietà del sig. Giancarlo Rubino.
La categoria delle fattrici di 11 anni ha visto in
campo solo quattro partecipanti. Su tutte *Halima
Alidaara (Alidaar x Hafeedah II), straight egyptian
di proprietà del sig. Vincenzo La Porta, davvero
un’ottima fattrice dotata di eleganza e grande tipicità.

IL CAMPIONATO FINALE
L’emozione del campionato finale è sempre molto
forte, ed in questa occasione lo è stata ancor di più, se
possibile. Qualche sorpresa, comunque, visto l’andamento della gara nella due giorni siciliana.
Netta vittoria per la splendida *Alima Moniscione,
presentata egregiamente da Luca Oberti che nonostante sia entrata ed uscita dal ring per ben quattro
volte per le competizioni che la riguardavano, ha
sempre regalato agli astanti uno spettacolo strepitoso
grazie al suo movimento esaltante. E così si è aggiudicata il titolo di Campionessa Puledre, il premio per
il Best in Show, il premio per la miglior puledra di
proprietà siciliana, davvero niente male per una puledra che non assaggiava un ring da quasi un anno.
Complimenti vivissimi al proprietario, l’Aretusa
Arabians Team della sig.ra Lucia Palumbo. Il titolo
di Riserva va alla bella *Magic Ma Cherie presentata
Da Franck Sponle, una puledra di solo un anno che
però ha davvero tutte le carte in regola per proseguire
in futuro una felice carriera in show. La puledra è di
proprietà del sig. Giuseppe Fontanella.
Titolo di Campione Puledri per *Mahrabi PA tipico
e dotato puledro, bellissimo figlio del pluricampione
in show Eternity Ibn Navarrone presentato da
Franck Sponle di proprietà di Fontanella Magic
Arabians mentre il titolo di Riserva va a *Khal El
MP di proprietà dell’Azienda Agr. del dr. Francesco
Tripodi, un puledro che dimostra appieno le qualità
di riproduttore di Serengeete. Presentato magistralmente da Paolo Capecci Khal El MP continua a
migliorare ad ogni show.
Titolo di Campionessa Fattrici per *Hadishana presentata da Domenico Ciceroni che conquista un bellissimo risultato con questa cavalla che sorprende e
sovverte tutti i pronostici della vigilia. La fattrice è di
proprietà del sig. Francesco Miccio. Titolo di Riserva
per *Naomi Nas PB che si esalta nel movimento con
Paolo Capecci dando un meritato risultato al giovane
ma già vincente e promettente allevamento Katane
Arabians.
THE FINAL CHAMPIONSHIP
The final championship is always very thrilling
and this time it was even more so, if that is possible. There were some surprises, given the results of
the two-day competition in Sicily.
Clear victory for the magnificent *Alima
Moniscione, per fectly presented by Luca Oberti.
Even though she went in and out of the ring four
times, to compete in the various categories, every
time she provided moments of great show for the
public, given her breathtaking movement. And so
she was named Champion Fillies, was awarded the
prize for Best in Show and the prize for the best
Sicilian-owned filly: not bad for a filly that had
n o t b e e n i n a r i n g f o r a l m o s t a y e a r.

Team of Mrs. Lucia Palumbo. The Reser ve title
went to the lovely *Magic Ma Cherie presented by
Franck Sponle, a filly of just one year which is fully
equipped to continue with a successful career in

Champion Colt was named *Mahrabi PA, a typey
and talented colt, a beautiful son of the show multichampion Eternity Ibn Navarrone, presented by
Franck Sponle and owned by Fontanella Magic
Arabians. The Reserve title was assigned to *Khal
El MP owned by Dr. Francesco Tripodi’s stud, a
colt that proves the siring capacity of Serengeete.
Splendidly presented by Paolo Capecci, Khal El
MP continues to improve at every show.
Champion Mare was *Hadishana presented by
Domenico Ciceroni, who obtained a great result
with this mare, which surprised and defied the predictions made prior to the championship. This mare

Champion Mare was *Naomi Nas PB, which gives

Giuseppe. Il titolo di Riserva va a FG Makao presentato da Paolo Capecci dell’Arabian Training
Center Ca’ di Gianni (altro centro che ha sostenuto
lo show di Cinisi in maniera importante) che conosce
particolarmente bene il cavallo avendo conquistato
con lui ottimi titoli. Lo stallone anche in questa
occasione si dimostra competitivo regalando un altro
titolo alla Katane Arabians. Tripodi Arabians insieme con Katane Arabians al termine del Campionato
hanno perfezionato l‘acquisto del promettente e già
riserva campione in classe A a Wels MM Fabrizio
dimostrando un’ottima unità d’intenti tra i due allevatori che hanno intenzioni di presentare ai concorsi
più importanti il nuovo acquisto. Tante altre sono
state le trattative tra allevatori e tante sono le operazioni in corso dimostrando che il mercato è in continuo fermento è questo per l’Italia, per l’Anica e per
chi gravita attorno al mondo del cavallo arabo non
può essere che motivo di soddisfazione per l’allevamento italiano.
Al termine della gara di morfologia di cui abbiamo
appena trattato si è disputato un altro campionato,
quello dedicato ai cavalli allevati in Sicilia, un modo
per gratificare il lavoro e la dedizione di questi allevatori che in una terra meravigliosa si dedicano all’ampliamento e al continuo miglioramento del cavallo
arabo, in chiusura del servizio troverete le foto con i
protagonisti di questo concorso speciale.
Sarà l’atmosfera calorosa, l’ambiente amichevole e,
perché no, la buona cucina, fatto sta che, francamente, è sempre un piacere tornare in quel di Cinisi, ogni
anno, un appuntamento che richiama sempre ottima
qualità e grandi numeri. Anche quest’anno l’organizzazione si è prodigata perché tutto fosse perfetto e
con qualche piccolo accorgimento, siamo sicuri, riusciranno nell’intento. Per intanto un plauso al sig.
Vito Lo Giudice, agli allevatori che, in massa, sono
accorsi a questo appuntamento che rende merito ad
una regione, la Sicilia, degna di un appuntamento
annuale di rilievo. Le possibilità ci sono tutte.

Fontanella must be praised for taking part in all
the Italian shows – in this case there were as many
as 16 horses from his stud. The Reserve title went
t o F G M a k a o p r e s e n t e d b y Pa o l o C a p e c c i o f
Arabian Training Center Ca’ di Gianni (another
center that greatly supported the Cinisi show), who
knows this horse ver y well and obtained g reat
results with him. Once again, this stallion proved
to be very competitive and won another title on
behalf of K atane A rabians. A t the end of the
C h a m p i o n s h i p, Tr i p o d i A ra b i a n s a n d K a ta n e
Arabians finalized the purchase of the promising
and Reserve Champion in class “A ” at Wels MM
Fabrizio. This proved the joint intention of the
two studs of making the presence of their new purchase felt at the most important shows. There were
many other negotiations among breeders and many
t ransactions were under way, showing that the
market is buoyant, which can only be a source of
great satisfaction for Italy, for ANIC A and for
those who are involved in the world of the Arabian
horse.
At the end of the conformation show which we just
reported, there was another championship dedicated
to horses bred in Sicily. It was a way to reward the
hard work and devotion of the breeders of this
wonder ful island to expand and continuously
improve the Arabian horse. The full results of this
special competition are provided at the end of this
article.
It was probably the welcoming atmosphere, the
friendly environment and, why not, the good food,
but it is always such a great pleasure going back to
Cinisi every year, an appointment that attracts
high quality and large numbers. Once again this
year, the organizers bent over backwards so that
ever ything ran smoothly and with a few minor
tweaks we are confident that they will succeed. In
the meantime, a big “well done” to Mr. Vito Lo
Giudice, the breeders who gathered en masse for
this unmissable appointment which greatly
rewards and give prestige to Sicily. The opportunities are all out there. See you in 2008 with an even
bigger participation. ❏
