Blue and Joy - Biografia Blue and Joy
Blue and Joy ‐ Biography Blue and Joy is a prolific contemporary artistic project invented by Fabio La Fauci (Milan 1977) and Daniele Sigalot (Rome 1976) at the end of 2005. The project develops around two characters, Blue and Joy, and their discouraging adventures, and works both on fine arts media, such as paintings, pictures, sculptures and mosaics, as well as digital and publishing media. The Blue and Joy project began in 2005 with the first exhibition in Barcelona and with the launch of the comic book entitled "Out of wishes", it then carried on with a snowball effect that quickly led to several different exhibitions through out Europe (Milan, Rome, Ibiza, Paris, London, Florence and Berlin) and recently also Asia (the first Nanjing Biennale). Fabio La Fauci and Daniele Sigalot, who worked for advertising companies in Milan, Barcelona and London until 2007, when they left Saatchi&Saatchi London and moved to Berlin in 2008, where they work fulltime in their studio “La Pizzeria” Kevin Roberts, Worldwide CEO Saatchi&Saatchi and author of “Lovemarks” says about them: “Blue and Joy are dreamers. They create smiles wherever their work lives. On walls, in books, in pictures, in dreams. Ideas are what matters in today’s world and Blue and Joy encompass that completely with their creativity shiningthrough regardless of the medium. Their show’s fearlsess.”
