Maria Adelaide Marini è nata a Roma il 14.01.1959
- è coniugata con due figli;
- ha conseguito il Diploma di maturità classica a Roma nel 1977;
- nell'anno accademico 1977/78 è risultata vincitrice del concorso di ammissione e si è
iscritta alla Facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia dell'Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore;
- negli anni accademici 1980/81 - 1981/82 e 1982/83 è stata allieva interna presso la
Divisione di Gastroenterologia della Cattedra di Patologia Speciale Medica della
medesima Università;
- ha conseguito presso la suddetta Università il Diploma di laurea in Medicina e
Chirurgia il giorno 24.10.1983 con la votazione di 110/110 e lode;
- nel novembre del 1983 ha conseguito l'abilitazione all'esercizio della professione di
Medico Chirurgo;
- nell'ottobre 1986 ha conseguito il Diploma di Specializzazione in Endocrinologia con
la votazione di 70/70 e lode presso l' Università degli Studi di Roma "Tor Vergata";
- Nell'anno accademico 1988/89, dopo essere risultata vincitrice del concorso libero per
titoli ed esami, è nominata funzionario tecnico (VIII livello) afferente alla Cattedra di
Endocrinologia del Dipartimento di Medicina Interna della Università degli Studi di
Roma "Tor Vergata";
-Nel 1993
Visiting scientist presso la Diabetes Branch del National of Diabetes and
Digestive and Kidney Diseases del National Institute of Health di Bethesda (USA);
- Nell’anno accademico 2000/2001 dopo essere risultata vincitrice di concorso per titoli
ed esami , è nominata ricercatore confermato afferente alla Cattedra di Medicina Interna
del Dipartimento di Medicina Interna della Università degli Studi di Roma "Tor
Vergata";
- Nell’anno accademico 2006/2007 dopo aver conseguito l’Idoneità nella valutazione
comparativa per Professore Associato presso la Facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia
dell’Università degli Studi di Milano, settore scientifico-disciplinare Med /09 è stata
chiamata a ricoprire il ruolo Professore Associato, afferente alla Cattedra di Medicina
Interna del Dipartimento di Medicina Interna, presso la Facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia
dell’Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata.
Attività Clinica
1984-1986: attività clinica come specializzanda presso le strutture convenzionate con la
Scuola di Specializzazione di Endocrinologia dell'Università degli Studi di Roma "Tor
Vergata".
- dal 1993 al settembre 2002 ha svolto funzioni assistenziale in qualità di dirigente di I
livello presso il Reparto di Endocrinologia del Complesso Integrato Columbus
convenzionato con l’Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata;
- dall’ottobre 2002 ad oggi svolge funzioni assistenziali in qualità di dirigente di I
livello presso il Reparto di Medicina Interna, Area Funzionale Aggregata di Medicina
Interna del Policlinico di Tor Vergata di Roma.
- Dal 1993 svolge:
- attività di reparto;
- attività di ambulatorio divisionale;
- turni di guardia internistica interdivisionale;
- consulenze specialistiche di Medicina Interna ed Endocrinologia.

- Meccanismi molecolari dell’insulino-resistenza;
- Patogenesi molecolare del diabete di tipo 2 e dell’obesità;
- Genetica del Diabete di tipo 2;
- Sindrome ipoglicemica autoimmune da anticorpi anti-recettore insulinico;
- Regolazione della secrezione insulinica.
