ELEVENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
ELEVENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
This is how it is with the kingdom of God. When morning dawns, with birdsong and gracious light, we say, “Thank you.” At mid‐day, looking over the tasks ahead (and the health we have to perform them) we bow and say, “Thank you.” At night, when the cool air and the evening rains restore us and the earth, we lift up our hearts and say, “Thank you.” And so the years unfold. In childhood, we exult in wonder at the chick breaking open the egg, at the blade that pulls out of the earth and into the sun, at the deliciousness of swimming pools and wet grass, and fluffy white clouds telling stories in the sky. As we age, we partner with God in the re‐creation of these gifts. We take careful watch over our food sources, always grateful, always conservative. We revel in the beauty of the earth. We bring children into this radiant world and plant our grateful hearts into theirs. And when we come to die, when we rush through that tunnel towards the Light, we remember every delicious ear of corn, every velvet summer night, every sweet baby’s kiss, every beautiful song we ever heard. We remember the faces of all of our funny and kind friends, and, if we were so blessed in this life―for we will all surely be blessed in the next―the inexpressible bliss of our beloved’s arms around ours. As we are embraced by the Light, we melt into the warmth of the endless ocean of love that surrounds us. The fruit of our lives is an eternity of wonder. How? We do not know. But it begins and ends with “Thank you.” What is the most wonder‐full thing in your life right now? Kathy McGovern ©2015 www.thestoryandyou.com

SUMMER TRAVEL AND SUNDAY WORSHIP –
MASSTIMES.ORG It can be difficult for Catholics to find a Mass when traveling or when it is not practical to attend their regular parishes. It is not always easy to find the right diocesan or parish websites. Mass Times makes it much easier to search for a Mass by presenting all the possibilities in a geographical area on one page. They provide worship times, church locations, contact information, website links and maps. GOLDEN ARROW
May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most mysterious and unutterable Name of God be always praised, blessed, loved, adored and glorified in heaven on earth and under the earth, by all the creatures of God, and by the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ in the most Holy Sacrament of the altar. ADORATION
OF THE MOST BLESSED
SACRAMENT will be from 6‐7 p.m. on Fridays during July and August. PLEASE NOTE that the Church will be locked at 6:00 p.m. during the months of July and August. SUMMER OFFICE HOURS Please note that during the months of July and August, the office hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. MARYGROVE CAMP COLLECTION THIS WEEKEND Marygrove Camp provides a fully subsidized camping experience during the months of July and August for 1,100 plus girls between the ages of 5 and 13. Marygrove provides an 8 day camping experience for children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy a camping adventure. The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, Toronto Central Council, helps over 1,000 girls each summer, registering eligible campers through home visits. Each camper’s holiday is fully subsidized through the generous support of an annual Camp Collection held in the parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Toronto. Those wishing to contribute can find
envelopes located at the entrances of the Church.
