The “Friends of the Italian Cultural Institute of New York” Foundation, recognized as a 501(c)(3) public charity in
2012, is a new organization aiming to promote the richness of Italian culture. The Foundation organizes events
to support and promote the activity of the Italian Cultural Institute of New York, as it highlights various aspects
of Italian culture and heritage, and develops ties with some of America’s most prominent cultural institutions.
Proceeds of the evening will support the opening of the library of the Italian Cultural Institute of New York to the
public, fund grants and awards to give young Italian artists the opportunity to work in New York, and promote
cultural initiatives for 2013, the year of Italian Culture in the US.
