Dear president Marco Leonardi,
Back to Morocco, I would like to congratulate you, Mrs Adrianna Leonardi and all the staff organization that
had made of the XIX Symposium Neuroradiologicum an unforgettable step in the history of the International
Meetings of Neuroradiology .You took a great deal in the context of the International economic crisis and
you succeeded!!
Plenary sessions (auditorium Europa) were at a high scientific level with top speakers! "Meet the expert"
were very interesting in an unformal way of sharing in "direct" the history and the vision of "art
masters".These innovative sessions in our Symposia should be repeated in the future.
Moreover we had a warm welcome and a great attention from a professional staff organization, no mention
about the coffee breaks and lunchs which were smart without excess/junk food! Also as speaker I was
delighted and honored with the WFNRS diner you invited to; unfortunateley I missed the farewell diner

We are sitting in our room at the Lungarno enjoying lights shining on the river but feeling a bit sad that SNR
is over. We had lunch with Olof and Ann at Teresina before our car picked us up and drove us to Firenze. It
could not have been a more perfect week in Bologna. Your organization, hospitality and good taste in food,
accomodations and ceremony were impeccable, and the quality of the SNR science was innovative and first
rate. I know I speak for ALL who attended.
Beverly and I send our sincere thanks for the special hospitality we received. You deserve the vacation in
the Pyrenees for a sensational job.

Congratulations for the great Symposium you´ve just organized. It was incredible how to achieve such huge
organization in Europe (I´ve been in RSNA in the past and they only make it with a very american type of
budget).
I also want to thank you for letting me be a chairman in the peddiatric vascular session. It was really useful
as Dr. Yamada had a lecture at the same time and so I had to take care of it on my own. And of course,
apart from being monochordic (!) in my certification lecture, the rest of my oral communications went very
well.
I hope we can meet again somewhere in the near future and thanks again for your help.

First of all, let me congratulate you on the tremendous success that you achieved with your Symposium!
I was greatly impressed with the quality of presentations and the seamless flow of the event thanks to the
efforts of you and your staff!
(Honestly, I cannot imagine how you could pull it through and get so much done with so many things
happening at once!)
To follow on your invitation, I gave the paper on the subject of my presentation to the nice lady at Centauro
booth – and asked her to check with you if you’d want to have it as a regular paper in the journal vs. a paper
in the proceedings volume. Either way would work for me – but in the interests of publicity it would probably
work better in the regular journal as the paper represents original previously unpublished data from a
prospective clinical study that I expect to be widely cited in the future.
Once again, thank you for your kind invitation and for accommodating my crazy schedule.

Dear Marco: Conglaturations for the great success of your meeting!
The SNR meeting was very well organized from the begining to the end.
Thanks to you and Adriana, I had a great opportunity to renew my
knowledge of neuroradiology and meet wonderful colleagues coming from
all over the world! I was glad that my talk was well accepted. Many people came to talk to me
when I came down from the podium after finishing my talk. Forwarded was an e-mail from
Swedish professor Jostein Krankenes who asked me to take a picture together at that time.
He kindly sent it to me over the e-mail with some remarks. My teacher at UCLA, John Bentson,
a man of few words, gave two short comments "It was well organized."
"Nobody had ever gave such talk".
How nice it is to have such a good meeting place in the town.
Also I enjoyed visiting your wonderful house.
The gala dinner at Palazzo Albergati was an unforgettable event.
My wife and I enjoyed visiting Bologna and charming towns in her vicinity.
After leaving Bologna, we visited Assis, Siena and Pienza spending for two weeks.
This was really wonderful 40th anniversary of our marriage, because we love
things in Toscana.
I am afraid that Adriana and you are exhausted. Take enough rest!

Apologies for this belated message, things have been rather busy. Who was it that said you could relax
when you retired?
I want to thank you most sincerely for the effort you put into the organisation of the Symposium
Neuroradiologicum in Bologna, and congratulate you on the splendid success of this meeting. I greatly
enjoyed my stay in Bologna, and want to thank you again for the hospitality in your home. My apologies for
having to leave a little early, spinal stenosis does not permit me to remain standing for any great length of
time. Perhaps it is time to have some decompressive surgery (or to lose some weight!)
